Training at Sunrise
Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.
Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!
In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.
Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )
The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.
There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.
There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.
Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!
(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE
Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

Tieria Erde | TRAINER - ALL ( except Healing )
Feel free to approach him, be it for training or simply to ask question or to strike up a conversation ( but why would you even want to have a conversation with him? ).
No matter what your reason for approaching him is, he pauses whatever he's doing to give you his full attention. ]
What is it?

Worry not, he's not here for anything that's even borderline stupid for Tieria's standard. ]
Forgive me, I didn't mean to interrupt your concentration. [ He makes a halt when he's close enough, giving a small formal nod. ] You chose the best spot to train, Sir Tieria.

[So Gilgamesh was a little late to the party. That didn't matter at all, because he's here, and he's going to make it clear to Tieria just where he could take his oversight and shove it. Between the run-in at his business and at the bulletin board, Gilgamesh has had it with this man.
...what he presumes to be a man. He still hasn't quite figured that out for certain yet, but regardless, he's more than ready for a fight.]

So his approach isn't really an approach. It's more like...he's just happened to wander in Tieria's direction. When he's spoken to, he pauses and blinks. What is it? Ah. Mm...
He gives a quizzical little tilt of his head. It's supposed to mean "what is happening here? do you have an answer?"
But...Shin-Ah forgot to...vocalize that part.]

MAGIC
In actuality, Minato isn't late. He worked with Setsuna first thing and then had to take a nap. One can't expect him to really continue with this training course on low mana, right? He figures that he should shift his efforts from something a little less physical. He's supposed to be a Queen now or something, anyway. He's still waiting on the crown.
But, to answer a blunt question with a blunt answer: ]
Magic.

Soma Peries | Trainer - Stamina, Endurance, Weapons + Magic (Marie)
[Soma had scouted out the area in advance-- happy to use the trek as personal training. Even today, she arrived well before the meeting time; stretching on the beach and getting accustomed to the terrain as well as the landscape from down here. There's a lot to work with in this location- indicative of Tieria's intelligent planning. After being instructed on what the ribbons are for, she eyes them before taking three of them. After they're tied, she eyes the last and on second thought - also ties it on.]
Have you warmed up yet?
( magic training )
[Upon being questioned about magic, Soma will quickly defer the lesson-- not to another person. Not exactly. But if you've been with her long enough or you've met her before, you might notice something very different about the person instructing you. She's all smiles for these trainees.]
Let's see... What type of magic do you use?
( if you're feeling confident... )
[As the hours of training pass, if you're willing to challenge her-- or if you're just plain slacking-- Soma will approach with a very serious glint in her eyes.]
Let's see you put that training to some practical use. Of course, you can use whatever you like this time around.
(ooc: Soma will be the primary trainer here. Throw any of your training wishes at her. But beware- she's a tough trainer. Marie will be helping with magic. She specializes in healing, however, she did some basic training in magic prior to her rank up, so she'll offer to help anyone. And she'll also be happy to heal any training injuries. If you choose the final option, Soma will offer to spar with anyone in a practical 'use any weapons or skills you possess' throwdown.)

Closed for Slaine
Well, this is his decision in the end. He can't blame her if she laughs.
Which is why they're now both at the beach, Lapis having more or less dragged him along - she doesn't want him to actually hurt himself, so training on the rock face was a big no.
Her hands are on her hips as she faces him, the breakfast picnic she had packed luckily hidden away in the bag she was carrying, as a surprise for later. But first, it's time to train!]
... Alright, are you ready?
no subject
In the end, he hopes to come out stronger after this. ]
Yes, I'm ready whenever you are!
[ He's actually pretty psyched for this. Not counting Verdoni's spartan magic training, this will be the first time he's tried to train with somebody else. Slaine is not going to disappoint!
Yikes, he just added a bit of extra pressure onto himself. They haven't even started yet and he's already sweating!! ]

adrasteius | trainer - magic / healing | trainee - endurance / stam
[ If there's one thing Adrasteius knows, above and beyond anything else (outside of really excellent pastries), it's magic. His people were shaped by it, sustained on it, and they studied it with a fervor unmatched by any other race in Azeroth. And Adra has studied, ever since his arrival in Enprise, absorbing as much as he can about this world's mana: its properties, function, how it differs from the concept of 'mana' as he previously understood it. Once his own body adjusted to the magical flow of this world, his knowledge deepened rapidly; he realized that, really, the two systems were not so different--though they certainly were not the same.
But close enough. Close enough that he feels the Light come to him with no trouble, that he feels the elements manifest at his fingertips with only a little bit of prodding. The resulting spells don't quite match what he's used to, and he cannot replicate everything he was once able to do, but he's quickly mastering what is possible. ]
So--are you here for healing?
[ Golden light limns his right hand, shimmering and warm. ]
Or offense?
[ Fire ignites his left hand, blazing so hot that it's blue at the edges. ]
Both, perhaps.
[ He presses his hands together, and the fire melds with the golden glow. The spells crackle and hiss as they combine, as their entwined, intense light casts Adra's silhouette in shadow.
He might be showing off a little. ]
Or do you just need the basics? As in: what is magic, anyway, because I'm some flavor of human and it's all soooo crazy?
[ Both spells wink out at once. ]
II. TRAINEE - ENDURANCE/STAMINA
[ He's significantly, significantly less confident in the physical arena. Spirituality, metaphysics, anything to do with the mind and the arcane -- yes, he's ready, he's got it. But his own body has often been something of an afterthought. Over the past month or so, he has been going to the gym with Bolin (and recently, Saber), and he's been walking more than ever before, so he's not liable to crumple immediately. But his constitution is not robust.
Not yet. ]
So. Do I have to run all the way up the cliff? Swim until my arms fall off? Dodge arrows?
[ He tries not to sound increasingly nervous as he shifts his weight from foot to foot. ]
I can handle it, whatever you want to do. But if I die, tell my carrier that I loved him.
[ Wan smile. ]
III. SUNSET - DOWNTIME
[ Well, regardless of whether he's told to do it or not, Adra's climbing that cliff. He wants to see the view, and he makes it up there just as the sun starts dipping below the horizon.
He kneels down on a patch of gravel, breathing hard, his face and neck glistening with perspiration. At least he's pulled his hair back into a ponytail.
Breathe, breathe, breathe. Everything aches, by this point. It's been one of his longest days on record. But he feels emptied out now, purified by the exhaustion. He settles down against a sheer rock, not minding the rough terrain, and exhales slowly.
He looks up, around, seeing if anyone else decided to make the trek, too. ]
Hey. Come sit with me.
[ A pause. ]
If you'd like to, I mean.
III
But he's here a bit later than Adra is, folding his wings and vanishing them as soon as he lands on the top. He comes over in silence, seating himself next to the elf in a rather formal fashion.
That's it. He doesn't seem visibly exhausted, though there are a few rips in his uniform where someone's sword had cut it open. ]

I (but also a little II) hi i'm late

weeps i thought i had replied to this
Sion Astal | Trainer (Magic, Stamina, Weapons)
[ Once upon a time, the Hero King had been attuned to all the energies of his realm—with but a single step forward, he had been able to change the landscape of the world, and by turning his golden eyes to the sky, he had been able to watch as its many colors shifted and swirled, altered by those humans who inhabited it, mad with the love he'd granted to them. But here... here, it is different, and he has long since understood that his perspective needed to shift; that he is no longer what he once had been, regardless of the thing which is written into the lines of his body.
Though perhaps not all is so very different.
Should a newcomer approach him, a novice to magic in all its aspects, he will say: spell casting is a simple extension of will. Visualize your means, and give life to them as you would pour your heart into an illustration, your soul into a verse of song.
Should a seasoned Hero find him where he sits, atop a throne of beach-weathered rock, he will only smile, beckoning them forward as a glimmer cascades down from overhead, forming an iridescent dome about both himself and his perch. Show me your magic in turn, he bids.
And whichever you may be, no sooner than magic crackles to life—potent or otherwise, elemental or not—his golden eyes gleam, snapping open: ]
I am your target, then. Come— [ Fire away is the implicit sentiment, spoken not by mouth, but with an elegant gesture of hand. ] —let us see how strong you are.
B. Weapons
[ Though Guiding Light is at his back, and La Vista gilds his shoulders in place of epaulettes, Sion, at first, seems less than keen on employing either in battle unless he is so asked. But upon request, he will seamlessly draw his blade from its place, the sword as aglow as he is in the early morning light. ]
As my partner, please do me the honor of making the opening move.
[ Unless, of course, you'd rather square off against his necklace. ]
C. Healing
[ The end of the day sees Sion sitting at the shoreline, barefoot as waves lap at his feet, his
ridiculous thigh-highsboots tossed aside, the long fall of his hair loose and pooled atop the sand. He is meditative in a way he had not been during training, his gaze turned not upon the vastness of the ocean before him, but to a void visible only by his eyes. But then, his brooding is gone in the instant someone so cares to approach him, and it is instinct which brings the light of healing magic to his hands, a single word—mending—upon his lips as he casts a spell for renewal upon a comrade who is surely spent, wearied by training, and yet... ]
I wonder, have you found fulfillment on this day?

Alice Liddell | Trainee -- magic and weapons
(if you want accidental nightmares, just add +nightmare option!)
[ It'd been the first time in several weeks Alice had gone out on her own, in this large of setting with others, save the boats. She is wearing her uniform -- what else would she wear? But Alice is reluctant to approach anyone, at first, standing back to observe, reluctant to talk to anyone. Walking out was a big step already, talking to others in her state was another.
Her sword strapped to her side, as always, Alice was holding her second weapon, a pearl-encrusted hair comb in her hands, completely unaware of it's power or her own. She appeared calm, but under the surface, Alice continued to struggle with hallucinations, some worse than others. To the more sensitive, the ones who can sense mana, Alice exudes and odd aura, already. ]
B - WEAPONS
[ She is small, but surprisingly strong. Alice is able to hold her own with sword practice, yet feels like she's lacking in skills. Her hand resting her hand on her sword's hilt, reluctant to draw it out of the sheathe. ]
I'm not very good with this sword, you'll have to forgive me.
B
There's nothing to forgive, this is what training is for. Show me what you can do.
[ That's to say, come at him, Alice. Tieria is ready, his stance relaxed as it makes it easy for him to respond regardless of how you'll attack. ]

Tyrnen | Trainee - Everything
[Though Tyrnen was rather proud of his magic proficiency he knew he still needed to learn more. He had slowly gotten used to how the magic of this world worked, but it was still different enough that he felt awkward. It also didn't help that he had no other skills that would be useful to being a hero. He couldn't fight with a weapon, he couldn't defend himself and he couldn't heal, even the basic spells everyone could learn he lacked particular skill with. The only things he could do well were all attack based or creative uses of elemental control. But even then it was mostly a surprise if whatever he had hoped to try worked or not. This of course was why he had arrived at this training camp.
Though he wasn't particularly looking to train more in wielding magic beyond maybe some basic defense and healing, what he desperately needed was stamina, endurance, and some kind of weapon understanding. Not that his weapons were good for much, the closest thing he had to something that could cause blunt damage was a book. Still, if he wanted to get better, or learn anything, he had to try.
Shin-Ah | TRAINEE - Magic; TRAINER - Weapons mostly
[Now that he's had the situation explained to him, he's able to understand that he can get training for magic here. It's something he really needs so he's ready for that. Mostly so that way he can be useful to others, able to protect them. Shin-Ah wants to be able to defend other people and maybe even to learn be a proper Knight since that's what he is now.
While he waits for someone to be available, he practices moving his mana through his body. He's getting better at that at least. It's not perfect but he's better than he used to be if nothing else.
Which is where he'll be when a trainer finally comes along. Sitting there just sort of looking at his hands. Exciting stuff here.]
Trainer - Weapons
[Now, he might not be very good with the whole weapon abilities thing but he can help with using weapons. Like fighting with them. That has to be something others should be trained to do as well and he sees no reason why he can't help out with that.
So when he's not practicing magic, he has his sword out and when his first student comes up to him, he nods.
Then he holds his sword in front of him. Come at him. This is how you're going to learn. By fighting him.]
Caren Ortensia | Trainee -GOING FOR ALL OF IT
[A, early on]
[She's physically flexible, careful in as she warms up with her body and her weapon, mostly drilling and the like. They're not great moves, but they are hers none the less. Trainee or Trainer, she sees one coming close, and her chin lifts up.]
Are you warmed up and ready?
[She's assertive, even as she's quiet in nature. Don't let it fool you; she will trample over the weak willed with little mercy.]
[B Midway]
[She's rumbled. It's the best way to describe her; she's fallen more then once, from the looks of it. Her jacket has been discarded, there may be at least one bruise that's forming nicely on her-multiple ones, actually-with scrapes on her body.
But she takes a swing of her water bottle, and offers it wordlessly to whoever comes near.
Unless it's Sion. Then she's going to try and edge out of his healing range, which might mean ducking behind some poor soul. That poor soul might be you trainer or trainee.]
[C, Sunset]
...it really is beautiful.
[She can admit to that. Even as she stands near the edge of the cliff, her shawl wrapped around her middle, Caren looks better, somehow. It might be the fact that she somehow bundled her hair up, or how she now has her jacket on.
But there's a slight smile on her lips as she stares out at the setting sun.]
It's like blood on water.

Ema Skye | Trainee - ALL
[. . . but damn if she wasn't completely and utterly exhausted by the time she arrived]
[she doesn't hesitate to tie all four ribbons around her right upper arm, although part of her feels a bit sheepish to see the other people present sporting fewer colors. but she couldn't dwell on that-- for now, it didn't matter. she was here to get herself on their level, after all. and she wouldn't be able to do that if she kept thinking about her own lack of abilities]
[Ema can easily be found examining her mobile theodolite as she tries to catch her breath. she's mumbling something to herself, too]
How is paint supposed to be useful in a battle, anyway?

All of the assigned weapons have magical properties. It might make itself known if you test it on something.
[Potemkin is not really one to talk, as both his weapons - the gauntlets on his hands and the attached firearms on them - are very self-explanatory.]

Agito/Akito | Trainee (everything let's go)
[They aren't the earliest to arrive, but they're only just late. Mostly because actually having to get to a place when you're used to Air Treck is hard when the variation of said AT work on mana and have the ability to drain you stupidly fast. Needless to say, it took them both, they needed a break to recharge part-way, and it's pissed Agito right off in the process.
That's probably why they hang back at first, once they have the ribbons tied on. Without the eyepatch on, Akito's taken over to mostly give the dark a chance to cool off. Mismatched eyes watch everyone with a mix of curiosity (left) and annoyance (right). Anyone who approaches will get the fun experience of someone looking up at them who only seems to be half glaring]
Sorry, we were a little tired from the trip. But we're ready now. [Thank god for Akito keeping his other's temper in check. This may or may not last]
2. Mid-day
[If there's one thing Agito does, it's push himself hard when it comes to training. He's not exhausted, not yet, but the body definitely looks tired even if he himself seems to be fully aware of things. There's only so much he can put it through before it collapses.
Eyepatch tied back on, his other can only watch as Agito stretches and checks on the strange weapon they have. At least it's tough enough to withstand the beating he's probably given the wheeled shoes by now]
Tch...fucking lack of motors...this world is stupid... [He's muttering under his breath, but it's easily overheard. He's not happy at how weak they are here, not at all]
3. Sunset
[Did he push himself to get up that cliff? You can bet any amount of colle that he did, complete with mana drain because sometimes you cheated and took a shortcut when your shoes let you jump ridiculous heights. But mostly he ran/walked it, and it's enough after the day to leave him utterly exhausted.
So once they're up, the teen picks a spot to sit down, the eyepatch slides over and Agito has a nap, leaving his other half to just shake his head and smile, watching the sunset]
How pretty...the sky here is so nice. [Is he talking to himself, or you, person who is nearby? Hard to tell]
1!
'We'? [ The Exorcist blinks at that. That's... but...
Sir, he hates to break it to you, but there's no one else there... ]
