Training at Sunrise

What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

[ Though he knows he probably didn't need to issue such a warning to Setsuna, who had already (...mistakenly) born the brunt of his gravity, he feels that it was only right. That Setsuna firmly casts that worry of his aside is also not a surprise, and Allelujah flashes a mild, knowing smile. ]

I don't suppose I'll need to ask about what you'd like to do.

[ Or rather, he does — he's just got the wrong person.

Stilling, he looks momentarily surprised, then settles back into himself. Setsuna is perceptive, he'll know what's happened. Or rather, who. ]

...Hallelujah. Would like to practice with you.

[ There's a light blink. But eventually, Setsuna calmly nods to acknowledge the latest statement. He is here to assist Hallelujah too after all, so he wouldn't mind at all. Hopefully Allelujah will get a chance to practice with him too afterwards, or at least receive the chance from the others here today.

For now, Setsuna's more than willing to focus on Hallelujah and witness for himself — what new abilities that the older Meister possesses now as a Rook. And so, the youngest Meister braces himself for the upcoming shift. Knowing Hallelujah all too well, he is aware that in a situation like this, he will soon be greeted with the most energetic kind of hello. ]

[ Energetic is right. So energetic that as Hallelujah unfurls to overtake Allelujah's consciousness, light bleeding from dark, it's already in a flourish of movement. In an attack. In a toll of laughter, a breath of Latin, a spell, Hallelujah has charged forward as he grips his control over their body. He slings one fist, distorted with the shimmering effects of Velocity's magic, straight at the younger Meister. ]

Yo, kiddo!

[ Better block that punch or your face will be looking a lot less handsome. ]

I'm glad you came out to [ heh ] play.

[ There was literally not a second to spare. Setsuna could barely widen his eyes when an unfamiliar magic charges at him right after the switch was made. Before the last second of painful impact, the youngest Meister quickly cartwheels aside to dodge it, flipping about twice or thrice before landing after a perfect balancing spin.

After standing on his feet again, Setsuna halts in place. He can now properly react to what happened, so he stares out with an expression that altogether mixes confusion, admiration, and surprise. He's seen a case of Allelujah's and Vietnam's Vacuum magic, but this is a first for Velocity. ]

What was that?

[ He's never heard about it from Allelujah... Is it possible that because their mana are unique against each other, their Ranked abilities are also different? ]

[hackles]

[ Hallelujah isn't really thrown off by the fact that Setsuna oh-so-elegantly avoids his little stunt, and turns to face him. A grin cuts at the corners of his mouth, and he flicks his arm to the side. All the magic gathered around it quickly fades while not in use. ]

Haha! Handy, isn't it? Velocity.

[ A sharp, sleek word, made doubly so when wielded by Hallelujah. ]

Gravity is a hell of a force.

[ It was fast...! Normally, someone has to stay still to cast. But Hallelujah immediately rushed to him right after the switch... How could he have done an incantation under a split second? No... Is it because he was chanting as he ran?

That's truly a first. Everyone Setsuna has met so far, including himself, can't do something like that. ]

Velocity?

[ Very interesting. Up until now, Setsuna has only trained against casters who need to stay stationary. Now, he's been given a chance to train against someone who can still move so freely despite conjuring magic. His eyes widen more visibly this time, almost as if he's sparkling towards his brother. Well, maybe he is. ]

That is... amazing.

[hackles]

[ So he noticed! Hallelujah knew he could be quick on the uptake, for also being so simultaneously dense. At least if it's in a fight, he'd always been pretty sharp. Hallelujah puffs up, all bluster. Yes, keep glittering at him. It doesn't feed his preposterous ego, or anything. ]

Sure as shit, it is! None of this having to sit around waiting like a tool to be attacked while using magic.

[ Waving the hand he doesn't have perched on his hip around, a brilliant glow follows his movement, like the sun from space, an afterimage in a void. ]

About time.

[ Fighting is the only thing Setsuna knows, after all. If there's anything that will make him shine along with those around him, it has to be through a battle. His eyes continue to hold that light, looking forward to discovering more.

He would personally ask, but that will ruin the full learning experience. If he's going to know his brother's new magic, then he'll want to fight against it. Only then would he best figure how to work alongside it for the future to come.

One more question can't hurt, though. ]

What about Allelujah's? It seems different...

[ They both are capable of unique magics, at least Setsuna noticed that about them. ]

Right again! [ Look who's on a roll. ] Let's see. Say you wanted to fire punch Allelujah in the face.

[ Just work with him here, okay. He has A Point to make. ]

He could deflect it without even touching you. Snuff it out real quick, if he wanted. Now, say you wanted to fire punch me in the face. I'm the one who turns your attacks feather light, or... I crush you into the ground. And come back at you twice as hard.

[ Heh. ]
