Training at Sunrise

Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE

Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

[ As Setsuna's information about the shawl is still limited, he isn't capable of calculating anything about it. The only thing he can do is to keep avoiding its hit radius, or at the very least its physical range. So he stays still for now, not moving until the last second. He side-steps to dodge the cloth, not wanting to risk having it touch him in case its ability is related to contact with the target.

He's further impressed by witnessing her charge towards him right after. So is she a melee combatant as well or is she simply trying to make it difficult for him to attack? He'll find out as the fight continues, so he patiently watches her every gesture. He studies her in silence, choosing to play an evasive role for now until he's more certain of her capabilities.

As Caren moved forward to close in on him, Setsuna's focus on reshaping his mana blade is disturbed. He shifts away for now, carrying the uncompleted, bright flow of mana with him as he continues to reform it. ]

[She doesn't know if Setsuna is reckless or simply quick-or if she is simply too slow with his evasive movement. She does not know. There is not enough information, not for this fight. It was fool hardy and reckless, to challenge him so, but she...

...needs this, if only to test what she herself is capable of. How she can handle the race against time, as she sees in the corner of her eye, the mana blade is changing. likely to become smaller, a knife perhaps, to adjust to close quarters.

She can't allow it. Her palm strikes out to slam into his chin. However, there is not much force put into it-and as he dodges, or steps back, he'll get to see why.

Her other hand was already moving to flick out little balls of light at his face, in order to blind him.]

[ Caren will eventually find out that Setsuna is a combination of both. He's skilled in battle as he is intrepid. He isn't afraid to take risks if he calculates it as the better decision. Having only known the life of fighting, he's become dull against the sensation of fear. That's why even as she attacks his face, he isn't showing any emotion towards her approaching palm.

Setsuna tries to dodge it too, but that doesn't work this time because of her additional magic. As a natural trait of the Holy Knight, he's able to passively see the forming mana in front of her hand... But it happened more quickly than he could witness it. Before he could even process what's about to happen, the spell has already completed casting. She successfully manages to temporarily blind him. His eyes widen in their dazed state, but he doesn't panic.

Instead, he responds with several backflips to escape where he could sense her mana. Another natural trait of the Holy Knight is that he could feel the flowing mana around him, more strongly than others. So even though he's blind now, he can still use this to guide his movements. While his eyes are unfocused and is witnessing nothing but white, he closes them instead and begins to concentrate in place. He isn't sure if he'll be able to attack while he's like this, so he'll have to see how far his body will take him. ]

[It's almost as if she's fighting water. Things slip away from him, as if they weren't there at all. As if she wasn't there, at all. It's admirable in a way, even as it is, also...irritating.

At least he's dazzled by the light she flung into his eyes. Even if she had to hop back a few steps, her mouth firm, as she watched him backflip, she still had gotten up on him.

She could still do this. She takes a few steps forward, breathing steadily, as she starts to warm up her wrist, moving the shawl in her hands-and she activates it, giving it the weight of steel on the end so she could catch a limb. A wrist would do, she thinks. Something to knock him off balance, so she could make another two pronged attack.]
