Training at Sunrise
Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.
Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!
In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.
Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )
The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.
There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.
There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.
Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!
(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE
Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

He doesn't know what Shin-Ah has went through but he knows that his life has certainly been difficult due to his own power. It must be hard, having to always hide himself away in fear, even more so when he seem to be a kind person.
Holding his palm out, he smiles gently at Shin-Ah. ]
Touch it.
[ Tieria's spell has been made with every intention of burning only enemies. If Shin-Ah chooses to do as he says, then he will find that not only it doesn't hurt but the fire is gentle and warm to touch. ]

His lips part a little in wonder as he lets his fingers move through the fire without fear. It's not hurting him at all. But it still seems dangerous?
Perhaps it burns only enemies but not allies? That's...amazing.]

Power doesn't harm. The one who wields it does. How you choose to use the power given to you is what matters the most. Even here, in this world, you can choose to allow your power to rip through enemies but not allies.
[ He pauses, allowing time for Shin-Ah to understands it. ] It is your responsibility to use it wisely.
[ Smile. ] Can you do it?
no subject
He wants to believe he can really use his powers in a way that doesn't harm others. Maybe then he could make something like a barrier. Something that would protect those he cares about and allow the enemy to not touch them. Or to stun the enemy. He's not sure yet but being able to touch this fire makes it feel like he really could do it.
Because this is the first time someone had shown him something that could truly hurt another but has a control to it.
Stepping back, he looks at his hand, at the fingers that were touching the fire. Can he do this? Can he control power to make it so that way he doesn't hurt the good but only the bad? Much like how he can slice the enemy and be aware of where his allies are to not cut them?
Shin-Ah looks up at Tieria. He's still calm, still quiet. However, now there's a determination in his eyes.]
Mm.
[He takes a deep breath.]
Do you...just think about what to do?
no subject
That's right. Think about what you want the spell to do when you create it. It takes time to master it, and you might not be able to do exactly what you wanted until then. But first, you need to be able to do this, to channel it outward and have your mana take form into a spell.
[ He explains as plainly as he can, hoping that it's not too complicated for Shin-Ah to grasp. ]

Channel his mana outward and have it form a spell.
He mimics what Tieria did earlier. To hold his hand out. Nothing happens right away, of course. There's no way it could. Still, he focuses and he thinks hard on what he wants. An element to protect. But he doesn't want to do fire. It just...isn't something he's drawn to. It seems like if he's not careful he might actually make an enemy suffer with that.
So, he focuses on wind. It takes time before something like...a breeze happens.
It startles him so much that he ends the spell with a gasp, eyes wide as he stares at his own hand. Like he's trying to figure out if that really came from him.]

Watching him concentrates, Tieria doesn't interrupt and instead allows him ample time to find his pace. When he feels the breeze from the Knight's palm, he smiles. ]
You did it. Wind magic. [ He lets the fireball floats off his palms and starts explaining more now that Shin-Ah has successfully channel his magic. ] To form magic properly, first you need to focus on your channeling your mana, which you just did. But it won't take form properly without an incantation or gestures to focus it into shape.
[ This time, he shows Shin-Ah, casting a tier one wind spell so he could learn from watching him. Tieria uses the scientific formula of kinetic movements to cast, although to Shin-Ah, it probably sounds like he's reading nonsense. But the moment he completes the formula, a wisp of wind forms around him. ] It can be any words or gestures, or even a combination of both, it's up to you to decide. Make sure it's something you can remember because you must use the same one every time you cast the spell. The more spells you learn, the more incantations and gestures you have to remember.
[ ((ooc: his eyes switches to gold when he cast)) ]

Gestures...
[He looks at his own hands. He hasn't noticed the eyes quite yet, having been distracted with really trying to learn this. Since Tieria is willing to take the time to really teach him, he wants to show him that he's worth that time and effort.
What does he want this first spell to do? What does he want it to accomplish? Thinking about that, he works to form all the details. A shield. One that pushes the enemies back. One that is made of wind. Isn't enough though? Enough details? He frowns a little before he speaks. Tieria would want him to ask rather than just not say anything.]
Do spells...need lots of details? To work right?
