Training at Sunrise

Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE

Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

[ Allelujah holds the weapon steady beneath Tieria's scrutiny. ]

Pulse and Prayer. I have to admit, its design is familiar.

[ From what he's learned of his new rank, a weapon outfitted for speed seems a little odd. It reminds him of Kyrios' hidden blade, a weapon that Hallelujah did favor. Yet it balances well with Malakim, a weapon whose speed under Allelujah's hand was as resolute as its ability to defend.

Now, to learn to wield it properly.

Nodding, Allelujah follows, taking up the space opposite to Tieria. He's seen that sword of his in action, but he's curious to learn the full effect of it.
]

Then...

[ Knowing how Tieria fights, Allelujah forgoes talk in favor of a fast inhale and a faster lunge to get them started. His blade tilts, and Allelujah angles a swing at him, mindful of his reach and that of the sword he's facing down. ]

[ Allelujah doesn't yet know its ability, unlike Malakim, but the presence of a more suitable weapon for combat is as much a blessing as it is something he vows to wield carefully. For now, simply learning how it behaves for him is enough.

Which is why he's grateful for the opportunity Tieria's presented him with. At home, they'd go through hours of simulations. Fighting face to face like this is different, but necessary.

His partner is stronger than he looks, and the parry thrusts his blade aside to open up a weakness on his left. Anchoring his heel, he pivots, moving circular to the weapon's path. Instead, he swipes up to cover the opening, the blade shining and quick, an extension of his arm rather than an entity of its own. It strikes Forseti, now moving it to an upward position with plenty of room for him to escape.

[ Tieria's reaction is swift and merciless, but within the parameters Allelujah expects from him. With both sword and scabbard, Tieria wields double against him, and his eyes flash with the same raw intelligence he displays while piloting. Dual-wielding deserves dual-processing, after all. Sharply, he grinds Prayer up along the scabbard, forcing its trajectory past his face. It's a fast swipe, and he feels its closeness to him, even as he's dipping out of range.

His stature belies his grace, and he pulls Prayer into a sharp arc against Forseti's drive at his side. The blades clash there momentarily, metal shrewdly sliding across metal. Allelujah's strength pulls as he moves back from it, taking advantage of the fact that a longsword's stability is compromised easier at its end.

Giving a solid, loud swing and parry, he springs forward, driving both his arm and the blade towards Tieria.

[ Just like that, the trajectory of the skirmish shifts, and Allelujah is quick to adjust. Tieria's block hits Prayer, diverting the attack, opening up space to keep this from going too close quarters. Allelujah follows — for them, it's a careful rhythm born of years of practice. Allelujah closes in, Tieria fends off. Together, they destroy. Against one another, they simply balance.

Allowing his partner to settle back into stance, Allelujah closes the distance once more to test it. Prayer cuts sideways at him, pushing him back. Against Tieria's scabbard side, he decides to mix his method of attack, and rears up to arc a kick with the flat of his shin at him. It's a supple movement meant to block him, to pin him down and take away some of his flexibility.
