Training at Sunrise

Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE

Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

[ Lord Light's own weapons are much less obvious than Sion's - only his wand, Heaven's Judgment, looks like a weapon; a slim tapered rod of wood with a crystal affixed to the bottom. Shroud of Dawn is worn as a circlet nestled in his flowing white hair - overall, he looks rather unassuming if not mysterious. ]

What do you have in mind?

[ Is it not obvious? Sion's cant of head seems to say, for he's made no great secret of his wish to pit Heroic weapon against Heroic weapon in order to further unlock the potential of both Lord Light's wand and elaborately wrought silver circlet. Where the Hero King is all golden glamour with his shining blade and innate incandescence, Lord Light is moonlit and opaline, and the man would remain as much until...

(What sort of face you might wear, on that day?)

...they train in earnest.

From the battle at Palamède, Sion still recalls the flash of Lord Light's eyes, flaring gold with the actualization of magic.

But that is not all he remembers. ]

Admittedly, I had first thought to offer you contest with Guiding Light— [ But the sword? It is now sheathed, at his back once more. ] —but now I think it best that we seek to work together in tandem after taking to the sky.

Tell me, are you familiar with large-scale magic?

[ Considering that this is a training session and that there was a sign expressly forbidding killing, there's a certain measure of trust that he now gives Sion - that of which no excess harm to be brought to either of them. Thus, his calm is not likely to be broken upon this day. ]

I am. However, I am no longer able to cast it without significant strain.

[ He's studied incantations and some mana theory, the likes of which that he could access. But anything he can do now would be a very far cry from the deeds he had done before. ]

[ If something is to be broken, it is best done by way of a slow weathering. A structured collapse. So seamless an upheaval that in the aftermath, when all has been shattered and sundered anew, what remains is nothing so broken after all, but beauty risen from the ashes.

No, Sion does not expect to force Lord Light's hand on a morning so dedicated to the coming together of others, but rather... ]

Then you are in the very same boat as I. [ ...embrace it. ] Though I have oftentimes wondered if the same output could not also be achieved by casting magic with a partner.

[ Not by spinning separate incantations and hoping that the magics might later converge as one, but by channeling the mana together and giving life to single, powerful spell. ]

Will you take flight with me to discover if such a thing is possible?

[ It is quite evident by his manner and armaments that he is not one designed for the frontlines. Instead, he is best played as a support or a strategist - even without his Sight, he has the experience. Sion may end up providing most of the power. ]

I will. What sort of spell will you devise?

[ There's a brief flash of gold in his eyes before his wings unfurl themselves, six feet of pure white feathers on either side. Unlike Sion's, these are part of him. His circlet merely augments his existing abilities. ]
