Training at Sunrise
Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.
Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!
In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.
Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )
The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.
There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.
There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.
Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!
(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE
Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

When prompted, Hinata draws his sword from its sheath in one swift motion, pausing for a few moments to take in the fact that he's actually holding a real sword in his hand right now. Until now, he had only ever held toy swords. It's a little heavier than he expected it to be, but it's pretty lightweight overall. He gazes into the eyes of his own reflection in the blade before he focuses on his new mentor once again.
Is it really okay for him to be fighting so soon? Perhaps this is a test of his natural instincts? Hinata is sure this is a fight that he isn't going to win, but he supposes winning isn't the point right now. Expressing his feelings through his attacks... that concept is pretty foreign to Hinata, who once witnessed two of his friends passionately sparring with each other and thought they were insane, but he'll try his best.]
Okay, I'm ready!
[With that declaration, Hinata charges foward with no regard to proper form or technique or whatever, swinging his blade at the man with no hesitation. Hinata trusts him to be able to handle whatever a newbie like him can dish out.]

Why? Of course, because living is brilliant in itself. As long as one is alive, they can still do something. By wielding a sword like this, it's undeniable that they're trampling on other lives just to be able to see a new day. But that's exactly why they shouldn't take their own life for granted. To survive, continue fighting on, and remaining with the same spirit as before... They're not fighting to win a war; as Setsuna said earlier, they're fighting against their own selves.
Losing sight of what's important is a fate worse than death. Would they be able to face their loved ones again, much less look at themselves in the mirror again, if that were to happen?
Once the shine of the sword flashes through, Setsuna immediately lifts two hands to stop the blade within his palms. He continues to remain stationary, only trying to read the strength flowing through that weapon against his hands. ]

He draws his blade back and wastes no time in swinging his sword once again, stepping forward as he does so and putting as much weight behind it as possible. Hinata is the taller of the two here and judging by appearances alone he might be heavier too, so logically it should be possible to push him back if he gains enough momentum. He's curious to see if he can manage it, and if so, just how far they can go before the man breaks away from him or tries to attack back.
As long as the man continues to stand still and doesn't do anything to stop him, Hinata will keep attacking with steadily increasing aggressiveness as he becomes more accustomed to the sensation of fighting. This actually is kind of fun... Will he be able to feel this way about an actual fight to the death, too? He hopes not.]

A determined, calculating spirit... And a lingering sensation of amusement. That is what Setsuna manages to read through those flowing motions and that expression reflecting against his own eyes. He does wonder, exactly what is entertaining about this situation? It's hard for him to tell... It could be the boy's naivety; having not experienced the heat of battle before, perhaps it sparks a harmless excitement within him. Certainly, there's a change that he'll completely change how he feels about this in the long run... Especially once this boy is reminded about the value of life and how easily it falls.
For a while longer, Setsuna keeps dodging the continued attacks with smooth mobility — focused on the boy's gestures as well as weapon. It's easy to tell that the boy is trying to overpower him due to those heavy movements, and so he responds with appropriate agility against them. Eventually however, he decides that he's understood enough. And so, it's time to end this trial; the remaining will reveal itself in time.
It's then, Setsuna suddenly changes gears, waiting for the next powerful swing to plow downwards before acting. While the boy has yet to recover his stance, a swift hand grabs the younger Hero's wrist to effectively halt his dominant sword-arm. He doesn't wait for a reaction and follows up with thrusting forward to slam his elbow against the boy's stomach. It's an attempt to halt the combat, but whether the boy would fall or remain standing would depend on his willpower from such a painful counterattack. Which ever the result, Setsuna will remove himself from a combat stance. ]
Are you ready?
[ The hit serves as a reminder to reality, as well as the first training lesson. In the world of those who fight so close against the enemy, one mistake can easily cost one's life. So... is this boy truly ready to grasp that very concept? ]

This is the kind of outcome he was expecting, and yet... taking a blow like that really did bring home the fact that Hinata still has so much to learn. If this was a real battle, he could be dead right now. That's a scary thought. But it also proves even further that he made the right choice coming here, approaching someone to teach him how to fight instead of just winging it when the time comes for a real battle. And he has a feeling that that time is coming very soon.
Once he regains his breath, he straightens himself up even though his stomach is still burning with pain (he really hopes that won't leave a bruise...), his cheeks slightly flushed but the fire hasn't faded from his eyes one bit. In fact, he's even more determined than ever to develop his skills and his feelings towards battling.]
...Yeah. I'm ready to do whatever it takes to improve myself.
[Then, he extends his empty hand towards his new teacher for a handshake.]
My name is Hinata Hajime. I'm looking forward to learning from you.

Knowing one's limit is the beginning. To admit one's weakness is the start of how to improve, as well as to increase consciousness regarding survival. In the battlefield, all that matters is one's own strength and will. Although it's ideal to rely on others, it shouldn't come to a point of dependency. In this world, it's imperative for each of the Heroes to learn about each other and work among each other... It's impossible to fight against everything in this world all alone, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they shouldn't acquire the means of fighting with their own hands and feet.
Just as Setsuna can independently fight, he can only go so far alone. Even for someone like him, he needs others to depend on. And just as he trusts others to cover him, he in turn will protect them. He wants this boy to grow into someone that others can also rely on, too. Witnessing him remain standing is a touching moment, and although he doesn't say it, he's already proud. That burning resoluteness will definitely carry him far, as long as he doesn't lose sight of himself. ]
... Setsuna F. Seiei.
[ And so, Setsuna replies with his name and extends his hand forward as well. He secures their handshake with an unexpectedly gentle hold. It feels so different compared to his harsh contact not long ago. ]
I look forward to working together.
