Training at Sunrise

Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE

Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

[ A magic spell...? Setsuna stares at the appearance of those runes and the halo, wondering what they could be. But his answer is answered shortly as he witnesses the significant speed change on Lord Light. Though, he can't determine if it's a spell or if it's a magical weapon ability.

Either way, it's not bad. But Setsuna can play with magic as well. Although as a Knight, it wouldn't be too impressive; still it's enough. He pauses for a moment if only to cast — chanting under his breath, activating a bright pressure that wraps around his arms as his uniform is brushed back by the breeze.

Setsuna then continues his next set of improved throws, equally returning a significant speed change on his side as well. Due to the additional wind spell encasing his attacks now however, this is no longer mere balloons. The affected range is wider because of the spell, acting as a wind cutter that would slide within the radius. Minor cuts may begin to flow through its intense velocity. ]

[ For the most part, he's able to evade the balloons, focusing his perception to be able to calculate where the missiles are projected to approach. Unlike most humans, his senses are not only limited to his eyes and ears - being able to perceive the world without filters, he has a keener awareness than most.

Except he no longer has his Sight to guide him, and thus his path is no longer perfect. One balloon brushes past him, its tailwind slicing open his uniform - but even then, he doesn't falter. There is no change in his pace at all, despite the various injuries (?) that have been afflicted onto him. ]

[ The additional wind pressure is meant to ruin momentum and balance, though the side effect of pain can't be helped from such a powerful throw. Setsuna isn't here to hurt Lord Light, as indicated by his controlled movements. He only does enough to reach what the goal requires, and that is to make it more difficult for the god to run those laps.

Although the first several throws still hasn't achieved said goal, Setsuna doesn't falter either. Similar to Lord Light, he too is honed with sharp perception due to both being trained as well as due to his natural traits. But more than that, it's because of his Rank as Holy Knight. He can easily the surrounding mana around the god, but he's unable to make them out properly as this is the first time that he's witnessing a Bishop's, specifically Lord Light's, mana.

As the throws continue, Setsuna is beginning to concentrate harder as he studies the surrounding mana. He's trying to memorize the pattern where the god is moving through, and will soon attempt predicting where he'll be moving towards to next. That in mind, he'll go for it. So within the next set of throws, they're significantly different as he is not only predicting movements with a soldier's reflexes, but as well as a Knight's senses. ]

[ Lord Light's mana is one of the most inhuman amongst the Heroes. It is remarkably uniform, almost too uniform - an impression of pure light without emotion, yet with movement of thoughts run by logic. It thus makes him perhaps a little easier to predict once one learns to read which sign means what - for his gestures are carried out to the exact milimetre of his intentions.

Setsuna gets him, First it's one balloon, then a second. Only three so far, but he shows little sign of slowing. ]

[ Impressive. But while Lord Light has no further need to improve his endurance, his speed still has room for it. Although he isn't slowing down, his mana isn't recovering either. If he continues to rely on his weapon for speed, soon he will tire out. Setsuna only needs to continue throwing until then.

The young Knight stops casting wind magic for now, conserving his own mana so he could prolong himself. But now that he's figured out the pattern in the god's running as well as his pacing, the next set of throws wouldn't need as much effort. So for now, he manually hurls more balloons that would soon feel heavy on the god's body.

With all of the rejected Monday's leftovers surrounding him like heavy mud, the wind can only make it more uncomfortable. ]

[ It takes time, but there does come a point where he can no longer continue without risking fainting.

Setsuna will be able to notice a split second before he slows - his second weapon has been switched off, his mana dims, and yet there is not a single sign of strain upon his body. No heavy breathing, for he does not need oxygen, only the visible fact that he's stopped moving with his hands out, palms parallel to the ground. ]

You have out-predicted me. Well done.

[ Given that he has no Sight, this is probably not too impressive. But he thinks it impressive all the same. ]
