Training at Sunrise

Who: Tieria and YOU
When: May 9th, a day AFTER Intro Log
Where: Caissa, Coastal District
What: Tieria organized a mass training session, hideous ensues?
Rating: Violence, language, more violence

If you made your way to the location, you're already one step closer upon completing your training because this part of the beach is the furthest away from any settlement or port and also the hardest to find. You probably found it by following other heroes' trail, or you're those who stumbles around until you found it or you're actually one of those who went scouting before the actual day.

Either way, congratulation for making it this far ( puns completely intended ). Surrounding the rocky beach is an even rockier cliff. Be careful not to stumble or you will find yourself in need of healing. Thankfully, there are Kings ready to make a guinea pig out of your healing needs around. Your training will be held on the round rock-carved deck overlooking the beautiful sea or on the less rocky stretch of the beach, depending on your Trainer's choice. If you're lucky, your Trainer might even have you hike up that rocky cliff. You may even treat yourself to Caissa's fantastic sunset if you made it up there in time!

In any case, once you've arrived at sunrise ( or rather when the sun has risen sufficiently over the horizon because you're that bad with direction or has no sense of time ) and is done catching your breath, you will come to a notice pinned on the tall fences that tells you to tie a ribbon ( in the buckets, also tied to the fence ) corresponding to the training you wish to partake in on your arm.

Stamina ( GREEN ) ✽ Endurance ( ORANGE ) ✽ Weapons ( BLUE ) ✽ Magic ( PURPLE )

The notice will also instructs those who volunteers to be Trainers to tie a different set of ribbons, with black stripe over the four corresponding colors, on their arm to help differentiate them and the course(s) they're instructing. Of course, if you turn out to be a terrible Trainer, Tieria will rip that ribbon off you and very possibly shoves you into the sea.

There are no training weapon available because you're supposed to bring your own magic weapon.
If you forgot, you can either run back for it or pick a different course.

There's also a clause in very bold red letters that forbid killing. Break it and you will be broken in return.

Are you done tying those ribbons? Then what are you waiting? Get moving!

(( OOC: Please indicate in your top level if your character is a Trainer (which course are they instructing?) or Trainee.
eg.: Harry Potter | TRAINER - MAGIC
eg.: Severus Potter | TRAINEE - EVERYTHING PLEASE

Feel free to mingle around! Make friends, frenemies and even better, rivals! ))

[ It's not the sound of metal meeting metal, the one she's used to, but it feels heavier. The power behind her swing has more force than ever and yet Setsuna meets it as if it's the same one from when she was a Pawn. It catches her off-guard, perhaps that's why it feels like the world has stopped around them. How much she has fought until this moment, gaining a physical and mental fortitude that can't be learned, flashes through her eyes. How hard she worked with Setsuna so she would be able to wield a blade effectively, to be deadly if she needed to be.

To protect what's important.

Asuna watches the blade made of mana slide against her own until she catches movement from his leg. She doesn't really think, her body moving on instinct. Her rapier breaks away from the lock of their blades so that he kicks at the flat of her blade instead of her body. However, she still moves back an inch from the force behind it. Her hand rests against the other side and she looks at him beneath the crook of her arm above her. With that same strength gathered in her arms, she shoves his leg away to catch him off balance and then drags the tip of her sword across the ground at his other foot, to knock him off balance and possibly to the ground. ]

[ The next move is rather predictable. Right after Asuna blocked the kick, Setsuna knew what she'll aim for afterwards. That's why he doesn't wait; right after the block was executed, he quickly follows up with a backflip before the swipe of her sword could knock him down. He flips one more time to secure distance between them, landing back properly with his position recovered. Asuna is a Knight now, so he doesn't need to hold his strength back anymore. Right now, he's treating her as a proper opponent than an underclassman to be looked after.

Setsuna charges forward this time instead of waiting, raising the blade of mana before launching a consecutive torrent of powered swings. He keeps aim for her sword on purpose, bashing it with considerable strength that would require two hands to even attempt on continuing to wield. He's attempting to disarm her; any attempts of moving backwards or escaping would be met with a chase. And should she lose concentration, she will risk slipping herself against the waters or the rocks...

But in a way, this is also training for new blooming strength as Knight. ]

[ Setsuna and Asuna have sparred more times than she can count and Asuna knows how to count. She's done it quite often, actually. Although the flow of battle is predictable in many ways, it doesn't make it less challenging. Even if he secures distance, it's not long before she's darting in again. So far, he's gone in for a blow and pulled back. If he pulls back now, that means his next move is going to be-

Yes, he's charging and she meets him head on.

Their blades clash again with a mighty, metallic sound. She doesn't pull back or try to escape, she keeps swinging at Setsuna and dancing along the rocks. Her footwork is light and nimble, moving more on her toes than her whole foot.

The more they move, the more her strikes come at a faster speed while she looks for those openings and she waits for him to pull back again to restart his cycle. If he does, she darts in all over again to continue the clash.

If he doesn't, she keeps her focus and her calm. If there's one thing she's learned, it's that sword fights aren't always restricted to just swords. Setsuna had used a kick too. And so, Asuna clenches her fist and throws a punch towards his stomach. ]
