( open ) mid-autumn in gisela
Who: Anyone who wants to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival!
When: Roughly 11th September to 17th September.
Where: Gisela
What: A log for those who wish to use their tickets during Mid Autumn Festival! You can still use this log for visits outside of this week too (as a catch-all) but the script is for the festivities. Basically what you can do is hang out at the Inn, at Gisela, or check out the island's hot springs!
Rating: Probably PG only for if a lantern catches fire or something.

[Welcome to Gisela, the floating sky islands above Gresser! Known for its mystic scenery, hot springs, and the fact that you nearly died the one time you had a dungeon here, Gisela could be considered a popular vacation spot. Or at least it should be, because Vietnam invested good money into this inn.
Inn, you say? Yes, after the defeating the dungeon, Vietnam bought a business here, an inn near the hot springs, Dragon's Flight and Phoenix Dance. A normally quaint inn, it has transformed to offer more festivities. Staff will welcome you with elaborate fruit displays they will put in your room for you to admire (and eat). You may also like to sign up for mooncake making sessions, where you will be able to make mooncakes together with your friends and family! Share a moment with them, and then share the mooncake. Nice.
Lanterns are strung up, leading you out towards the gardens. The inn itself doesn't have a lot of space for A GREAT FESTIVAL, but on certain nights, there will be lion dancing and a few stalls opened up to sell souvenirs, all handcrafted thanks to Vietnam's instruction. Now, lion dancing usually consist of two or more people under a lion costume, however, some generous NPCs have lent them some tame magical lion beasts that look similar to the Asian mythological kind. However, Vietnam and Kija also found a pretty wild one that seems to be stuck eating some lion snacks, because they tried to wrangle it and before they could run, they were forced to commit. Kija named it Jae-ha.
Go further, and it seems like the hot springs that Vietnam has permission to use have also a bit of decoration themselves, with something heat and water proof, that is.
Should you just want to spend your time looking at the moon, darker, quieter areas of the gardens will let you do just that. Sit down and relax, of course.
If you don't really care about any of this at all, perhaps you'd just want to go sightseeing in Gisela!
And basically do whatever you want in this place, really. RELAX, HERO.]

MOONCAKE PARTY — SEPTEMBER 15TH.
For those wishing for a more intimate experience, the outside courtyard is open, where smaller tables, dressed similarly to those inside, are placed. Each seating only three to five people, blankets are provided for those sitting outside once night fails and the temperatures begin to dip. This outside area is illuminated by a number of multicolored lanterns which take many shapes, from circular ones similarly hung in the main hall, to more ornate, such as butterflies, stars and fish.
While the first hour or so is dedicated to food, drink and good company, as the night carries on guests are encouraged to make their way out to the courtyard. There, sky lanterns and pens are waiting, for guests to write their wishes or riddles on them. Guests, particularly couples, are encouraged to profess their undying love for one another under the light of the moon, for all to hear (and a few of the more meddlesome staff may try to push heroes together, should they feel they might make a good match ♥︎). ]
[[OOC Note: Please feel free to use this top-level as an open mingle!]]
open to everyone, sure!! o9
He might be chewing on a pen somewhat too. With the most intensely thoughtful sort of expression...
Which is to say he's entirely confused and at a loss for what to write. Ah, then it was like the festival on the night of the masquerade as well...? But like when Makoto gave handed him her paper to write a wish on, the materials that have been thrust into his hands now...
..what's he to write?
Taking advantage of his distraction though, his golem carrier (the inexplicably squishy golden ball with wings that it is) chooses to delicately take one of the mooncakes he'd so carefully balanced in its toothy mouth... and will chew on it with the gusto its master lacks at the moment. And regard him with the flattest sort of tsk expression a golem can. ]

Wishes - OTA
He's swirling the pen along the paper, staring down at it thoughtfully with only the occasional glance up to the stars.
Except he isn't writing anything. In the past ten minutes he's only accomplished covering the lantern in doodles. Some stars, a heart, a few leaves, a number of swirls...]
Ah. [He blinks rapidly once he realizes what he's done and raises the lantern high.] Oh no! I'm running out of room!

[ Masamune says, setting the small gift basket of moon cakes in several varieties down between them both. There are extras of each that he figured others may find useful if they didn't bring their own but for the moment he's only concerned with his roommate and what she might take to put off the set of cake options. While the more traditional kind are present in their normal coloring and fillings, he also has a few brightly colored ones that are flavored differently and look as such, too, with their lack of a traditional brown coating.
They include a green one (a 'green tea' variety), a red one (a 'cheese cranberry'), and a purple one ('purple sweet potato'). He is aware that not everyone would be familiar or accustomed to traditional moon cakes so he tried to think of a few varients that might appeal to both those familiar and not familiar with the confectionary of tradition.
As for Lux, he assumed she might not be all that familiar with email or the festival but with it based on the fact she doesn't know of elephants on top of being fair-haired, Masamune is careful not to make the same mistake as he did with Gilgamesh and doesn't ask. She is, after all, the one who invited him to this in the first place. If not for her he wouldn't even be here right now. Without people to share and enjoy it with, the familiar tradition of pastry and celebration of the moon only creates longing homesickness. Not that he would admit such so easily, but there is a reason he just brought her five or six different types of moon cakes in multiple quantities when she is only one person.
Lux has single-handedly made it possible for him to acknowledge the holiday with minimal loneliness both with her own company as well her encouragement to invite others to share cakes. Needless to say, he is certainly grateful for that.
( variety moon cakes based from these! ) ]
What do you think? Are you traditional material this evening or feeling a little adventurous?

Alice is not one to stay in one spot for long, not until Alice starts to find herself unnerved with the lanterns. In the day time, they were very pretty, but take on another meaning to her during dusk. When the lanterns are lit, Alice is huddled elsewhere, debating whether or not to leave, completely. It's a shame that her fear of fire limits her.
It pushes her back to other areas of the courtyard where there's no lanterns and Alice is forced to rely on the light of the moon. There are no professions of undying love from Alice, only just a small wish that she tries to write on a piece of paper. She has to rearrange herself several times to better write under the moonlight to little or to no luck. Rather than focusing on the terrible memories of lanterns and house fires, Alice turns her attention to someone else.
"I wish for Sion to be free of his curse."
She continues on with another wish, a long wish that may as well as be a confession, hunched over her paper to better look at what she's writing with limited light, pulling her hair out of her face. Because she's not sitting properly and is almost perched on the table, Alice's paper slips out. What if someone sees these? Then wishes wouldn't come true, would they? She dives to the ground, trying desperately to scoop up her materials in the limited light. ]

Moon watching
The spa held little interest to her, and she was pretty sure she would die if she tried out the hot springs (though the humans seemed to enjoy them). So instead she had staked out an open spot in the garden to kick back with a drink and marvel at this planet's single, comparatively enormous moon.
She sat up slightly when she heard someone else (you) coming, but relaxed when she saw merely another guest at this inn, and not a nighttime assassin of some kind.
"Allow me to offer my greetings for the evening. It is a fine night, and good essence-" she seemed to be referring to her drink by this "-can only be improved by company."

Wander took his hat off and bowed to Teyud; his wyvern looked at him and mimicked his movements. He remembered how she liked her fancy formalities. It did not last for long as he gracelessly sprawled out on the soft grass. He stretched, yawned loudly, and placed his arms behind his head.
"How are you enjoying the festival, Teyud? Did you make mooncakes? Write wishes? Dine on the delectable fruit displays?"
His stomach rumbled just thinking about all that fruit. However, his carrier was currently eating all the food.

[ Mammon accepted the invitation, mostly curious on what all this is about. She's never heard of the Mid-Autumn festival before, but she's certainly getting a good impression of it. She's planning to stay here for a while, so it's a good time to use her passes.
So, remember these? Mammon plucked some from her room and is carrying the ones that look like little people in her arms. She's enjoying the lion dance and keeping her fill by eating the heads of these fruit people. She doesn't seem bothered by it at all and just eating it normally. ]
Hey, hey. They must have practiced a lot for the dance, right? It's so fun to watch!
[ She says cheerfully as she bites a portion of the head of a fruit doll. ]
B - making bitesize 1k calorie monstrosities
[ Mammon signed up for mooncake lessons, just so that she could add to the list of things she could do. She already shared hers with someone, so she thinks it's okay to eat the ones she has made herself. She has never baked before, but it looks like she's doing well. Not genius-tier, but average. It's moreso because she's following the instructions down to the letter, so she's not messing up as often.
She made three mooncakes.
She's eating all three.
When she's down to the last one, she eyes the nearest person and swipes it quickly. "Mine!" her childish gesture seems to say, and she happily eats the third... mooncake.
Hopefully she didn't slight you with thhe assumption that you were going to eat her mooncake. Or maybe you can break it to her that these pack a lot of calories. She can't help her greed... ]

[ He keeps being impressed by all the new things that he sees, and the inn and what is in and around it is no exception. Everything can be so very different from what exists in Tudor.
After leaving his room Chloe has to have a look around. If not for...a lot of things.. he would be enjoying the hot springs but there's no complete privacy in such things so that is not an option, but he does look around everywhere else, and he enjoys looking through the offered merchandise sold at the stalls, is fascinated by the lion dance, enjoys some peace and quiet while moon gazing at a seat where he can sit with his back against a wall, and simply finding a stroll in the area to be a nice change of pace from work. Though he deliberately chooses to always keep himself occupied with things that will leave him tired and dreamless in the evening. ]
mooncake making
[ He does not have any experience in making sweets. He knows basic cooking as much as anyone that has been camping might, but he really is much more experienced in brewing excellent tea.
He rolls up his sleeves a little ways (not very high, and if one looks closely there's the start of a scar hidden just above the edge of the fabric of both sleeves. They're not pretty scars and he always makes sure that he cannot see them.) and then ties up his hair with a ribbon, so it won't get in the way. ]

Go to the rooftop.
What's going on? But at least follow that waft of food. When they get there, it's nothing extravagant. Not a feast that she could prepare in the warmth of their home in Caissa. It was just something simple, something homely. Foods they can pick up and share, warm tea to drink.]

Individual prompts
Gilgamesh
Weird.
Therefore, the young warlord tries not to reflect on the spending time with one Mesopotamian king as to whether or not it is actually what constitutes as a date. If he doesn't the inevitable question of if his other invitations should be considered dates, as well, comes forth.
(going on a date with a married man is cause for wonder, but having another date with the man's wife probably pushes it over the edge of just speculating on whether this is supposed to be awkward or not. Luckily, Gilgamesh does not contribute to such awkward thoughts (or not yet, anyway) or this would be all a lot harder-- the small joys of people that are into themselves, really.
It's not been terrible company, either. Despite their first encounter, he is much better behaved this go around but Masamune also attributes that to him being paid attention to rather than vying for said attention.
Which leads them to now, not long after watching the lions dance. Masamune had never seen such a thing and was struck with awe (he's never seen a lion before either, how magnificent) and seems to be left with a more willing set of behavior in terms of being engaging with the other this evening. Now is the first time the whole outing that he is leading Gilgamesh somewhere rather than being pulled along in one direction or another. He is not forceful or aggressive tugging on Gilgamesh's sleeve but he is clearly now more excited and intrigued after seeing the lions. Considering he is leading the other in the dark along a lantern-lit trail towards a secluded spot for watching the moon rather than anything excitable, it probably says more about his coming to be more comfortable in the company of his companion than real excitement to stare up at the night sky.
Although, he has a great fondness and respect for the moon that brings to mind home. Looking back over his shoulder, he asks in a softer time than used in the louder spectacles of the evening activities to the older man. ]
Hey, King of Heroes, you know this tale, right? About the moon rabbits? It's one of my favorites.
[ On top of the moon being powerful and beautiful rabbits are adorable, and he really likes them, too. He can't help it with how cute and soft they are and their ears are just amazing in his opinion... None of it is weird for a nineteen - year-old boy!? If girls can like all the cute cute things, so can he. Besides, they still have moon cake to share; that is worth the excitement even if rabbits aren't your thing, yes? ]

Jae-ha
Mostly, anyway.
Currently, he's offering a moon cake to the dragon by trying to actually put it in the other 's mouth and effectively feed it to him. Affectionately cute, any hopes of mimicking a cute girl doing the same for a boyfriend are crushed by his exceptionally good act of convincing that while he swears they are edible they may actually not be. It's always the eager ones who mean will that kill unintentionally via they finished culinary masterpieces. They put love and effort into this stuff so surely they will be amazing!?
The truth is, Masamune's cakes are completely safe and are as delicious as they look (and they look excellent, btw). He is quite a good cook, pastry baking included, and although does not often make sweet items unless for children or specifically known to be liked, he knows how to make them well all the same. Jae-ha doesn't have to know that, though. Not yet.]
I'm sure you'll love it, I made sure to be extra careful this time while making them.
[ he only does this to people he really likes, okay, just try to remember that, especially if he ends up having to get on top of you to feed you the cake if you are wary, Jae-ha. ...at least the ending will be a pleasant surprise and not one of getting food poisoning or coming on etc shells or something to that effect, yes? ]

Vietnam
[ Masamune asks quietly, looking at the white rabbit he is holding that is moon watching with them both now on the roof of Vietnam's inn. What started out as traditional custom that they were both familiar with (making it particularly a special thing to share with her) has somehow turned into them finding various small rabbits throughout their date (if it's a date with the husband in regards to Gilgamesh then it is surely a date with the wife with Vietnam). All of the rabbits have been white and found in the strangest predicaments that they have had to help them get out of. This latest rabbit was stuck in a gutter to the roof... While trying to get on the roof!? Strange behavior for the animals he is sure... Which is why he dates all the question at all. He's trying not to look shy or otherwise embarrassed asking her opinion but he isn't doing such a great job. He is looking intently at the bunny, which is oddly fixated on watching the moon. ]
...like what if it's a real moon rabbit? Do we have to help it get back home?
[ this one day great warlord being incredibly moe over a cute rabbit even to the point he is seriously wondering about it possibly being a legendary creature is not a side he really shows often, but nevertheless... here he is doing so in front of her despite efforts.
His defense is that this place is magical so surely it would be silly to not think it possible that moon rabbits are a thing !?]

[One of the best parts of being alive, Hakuno knows, is food. The displays, the mooncakes, the overall atmosphere of such a large, shared meal...
She really can't get enough of it.
Maybe you're seated beside her as she carefully fills and empties her plate, or maybe you're both doing your best to make mooncakes according to the instructions, which Hakuno is following with an almost religious concentration. Food preparation is serious business to her, after all. But, whatever the case, one thing is abundantly clear—from the way her eyes are glimmering, there's no question that she's enjoying herself.]
ii. it's getting hot out here
...mm. So nice.
[You know what else really makes you enjoy life? Hot springs. For somebody who seemed a bit uncomfortable with public bathing not too long ago, Hakuno seems like a regular now. Her hair is pulled up into a large, loose bun and her towel is fastened neatly, but beyond that she is the complete picture of relaxation.
The stone at her back is steeped in the water's warmth, and the moon above... it's different. It's alien. It's not the moon she knows, and a small, sweet, utterly happy smile flits across her face because of that. She prods at a nearby lantern, awash in its faint pink glow.]

Now, after checking in, they're both standing in front of the door and all Gilbert has to do is to slide them open. Just before he does so, Gil recalls the wide grin on the staff member's face and realizes that his cheeks are burning.
No, there's no use standing here and do nothing, so before Jirou starts nagging him, Gilbert slides the door open with a swift move and steps inside. The very first thing that he notices is the biggest bed he has ever seen in his life. That's not everything, though—while he thought that they got red bedding set, that's not quite true. The comforter sure is there, but it's hidden underneath the scattered rose petals.]
Ah.
[He's speechless already and it's just the beginning.]
no subject
Blinking a little, he looks at the person as they walk away then turns back to his cute boyfriend...hm, that's the right word, yes?...to open his mouth to say something.
Well then that stops when Gilbert opens the door and the bed is there and covered in scattered rose petals. Blinking, he steps inside and removes his shoes out of pure habit at the door before going further in. It's actually got him quite surprised and he touches the bedding lightly before smiling and turning back to the other man.]
