( open ) mid-autumn in gisela
Who: Anyone who wants to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival!
When: Roughly 11th September to 17th September.
Where: Gisela
What: A log for those who wish to use their tickets during Mid Autumn Festival! You can still use this log for visits outside of this week too (as a catch-all) but the script is for the festivities. Basically what you can do is hang out at the Inn, at Gisela, or check out the island's hot springs!
Rating: Probably PG only for if a lantern catches fire or something.

[Welcome to Gisela, the floating sky islands above Gresser! Known for its mystic scenery, hot springs, and the fact that you nearly died the one time you had a dungeon here, Gisela could be considered a popular vacation spot. Or at least it should be, because Vietnam invested good money into this inn.
Inn, you say? Yes, after the defeating the dungeon, Vietnam bought a business here, an inn near the hot springs, Dragon's Flight and Phoenix Dance. A normally quaint inn, it has transformed to offer more festivities. Staff will welcome you with elaborate fruit displays they will put in your room for you to admire (and eat). You may also like to sign up for mooncake making sessions, where you will be able to make mooncakes together with your friends and family! Share a moment with them, and then share the mooncake. Nice.
Lanterns are strung up, leading you out towards the gardens. The inn itself doesn't have a lot of space for A GREAT FESTIVAL, but on certain nights, there will be lion dancing and a few stalls opened up to sell souvenirs, all handcrafted thanks to Vietnam's instruction. Now, lion dancing usually consist of two or more people under a lion costume, however, some generous NPCs have lent them some tame magical lion beasts that look similar to the Asian mythological kind. However, Vietnam and Kija also found a pretty wild one that seems to be stuck eating some lion snacks, because they tried to wrangle it and before they could run, they were forced to commit. Kija named it Jae-ha.
Go further, and it seems like the hot springs that Vietnam has permission to use have also a bit of decoration themselves, with something heat and water proof, that is.
Should you just want to spend your time looking at the moon, darker, quieter areas of the gardens will let you do just that. Sit down and relax, of course.
If you don't really care about any of this at all, perhaps you'd just want to go sightseeing in Gisela!
And basically do whatever you want in this place, really. RELAX, HERO.]

I see I've summoned the namesake herself. Vietnam! Why did you not join in with me?!
[He's going to aim for ticklish spot on her neck with his teeth as punishment, if it even qualifies. He also takes this opportunity to spin her around like a maypole while she's in his grip, because although he's not a perfect husband not once has he even been anything less than overwhelmingly loving.]
Sing louder! I cannot hear you!!
no subject
She tried to sing--] --bears the spirit of our countrYYYYY-- [--when his teeth makes her wriggle in his grip, squirming because he tickled her neck and she's trying not to laugh. And she does, while holding onto him tightly now, the long trains of her ao dai making up the rest of this maypole as he twirls.]
The distant rumbling of the guns, passes over the bodies of our foes--!! [There, it was loud and proud and she taps her head to his (he probably likes this part of the anthem). This man, seriously. He's not perfect, but this is perfect in her eyes.]
no subject
Breathless, Gilgamesh sets her back on her feet again and tries to suck in some much needed air, but he just keeps laughing. Honestly, as far as anthems go, there's probably worse... but nothing beats jamming out about stepping on the unworthy with your spouse. He's a happy camper already and the night's only just begun.]
What a shame I did not compose a similar number for Uruk. It would've been the talk of the town.
[Delicately, Gilgamesh smooths out the rumples he caused on her ao dai and stands back to admire her properly.]
Now this is a true woman before me. Bạn xinh đẹp, dear wife, you are the spitting image of perfection itself.
no subject
She's rubbing his back now, because he keeps laughing, having fun already, and she can't help but smile. He's always like this, unleashing his infectious energy onto others, using his vast knowledge to lure them into his trap. And she's fallen into it, like tripping into a honeypot.]
Do you really like it? [There are other anthems about war and victory too, Gilgamesh!] I suppose it was a more recent development. I still wonder what yours would've been like... [Perhaps he can make one anyway.
And then she grows just a little bit shy, letting her dress be straightened and she shuffles, wondering if she should show it all to him.] Anh, you speak too well of him, it is something simple, really... [But then again, these dresses were meant to symbolise femininity, with how much it hugs her figure at the top. It certainly has been a while, though, and she really hoped she could show him how she looked back home. Also--]
But I had to try my best, I knew you were going to be most handsome. [Ah.]
no subject
I like you in everything. Or nothing at all, depending upon my mood.
[Which was often raunchy, which explained why many of the surfaces in their house have been—ahem—broken in. Multiple times. But he remembers she's slightly sensitive about it, both her figure and her femininity, so he settles down to pay her an earnest compliment.]
You have never, not once, given me anything less than your best. I have no critique to offer you, Sen; blame it on the bias of a man deeply in love.
[He takes her hands in his, swinging them about as he often likes to do, and offers her his utmost attention.]
Now, are you scheming again? Or did you merely call me out here to celebrate? Not that I could complain, but...
no subject
But as sensitive as she is about her appearance, as much as she wished she had Gilgamesh's confidence, Gilgamesh himself has managed to make her so comfortable with her own appearance lately. Why she tries now, well, he might have the biases of a man in love. But she doesn't want to let him down when she walks beside him. He really has a lot on the line! So she must do her part!
Still, she scratches her cheek, and then catches his hands as they reach out to take hers, swinging them with him.] I try so hard because of a woman who is so deeply in love, she just wants to make her man proud.
But ah...now, I was scheming, but then I think you ended up surprising me. [She tilts her head, puzzled.] But...? Which would you prefer? Calling you out to celebrate, or a sinister plan? [Because will it even end here?! Does she have more up her sleeve?!]
no subject
[Or twenty. Understatement of the century. Sometimes it feels like cheating, the life he lives here; they have a war to fight, to certainly, and enemies to kill, but outside of that it's all so carefree. Most days all he has to worry over is who's cooking for the day and what they're making. And that they don't blow up the house with it.
The real war, the war he left behind, seems so far away. Especially now, especially on a night like this. Maybe that's not such a bad thing.]
But as it was your day, here, it is your night. You've worked very hard, and so I leave myself in your capable hands.
[He trusts her. Trusts her not to throw another snake in his face, even. That's deep, man.]
no subject
[She smiles a little, just the corners of her mouth turning, a little sly, but definitely goodnatured. After all, she wanted to celebrate with him tonight. And just like how he spoiled her, she wants to spoil him too.
Especially to make up for the snake incident. Well, she did make up for that, but she doesn't want it to be the last gift he remembers.]
I did work hard, as there are a great many things to experience tonight and the mid-autumn festival also celebrates love. So if you will let me love you...
[And she lets go of his hands, claps, making it look like magic with a few sparks of fire before revealing a pretty little lotus, which she slips just behind his ear...and oh! A little rose, which she pins to his jacket. (Actually she hid those. The flames were a distraction.) There.
And then she takes his hand.] Then follow me.
no subject
He straightens the rose with pride, too. Always looking his very best for his very favorite woman in all the world.]
I shall allow you the honor of leading me, then. Onward.
[...though, however close they become, there's always that indisputable air of arrogance about him.]
no subject
She's practically beaming now. Why does she look so excited? What surprises does a humble country have for an arrogant king who lets her lead him?
Vietnam tugs him along, her hand holding his warmly, ever so protectively. If she has her way today, she'll hold on for as long as she can.]
Come! We need to get a few things at the stalls, you can even look at the festivities and the lion! But then we must make our way to the edge of the island. I need to show you something.
no subject
The lion?
[The lion...?]
The lion!
[THE LION.
THE LION, THE LION, THE LION, THE LION—]
Lion first! We must go! We must, we must, we must...!
[The... lion... looks like that's where they're headed, or at least that's what where he's urging her. Way to plant that seed, Vietnam.]
no subject
Vietnam looks so smug (but never as smug as Gilgamesh ever would be) because--]
Not just any lion, my dear Gilgamesh. A lion that can dance.
[Actually all it does is fancy prowling but that's close enough.]
Come! Let's go! [She drags him along now, to see the lion! It's a large lion, and because this is fantasy land, this particular lion has a FLAMING RED MAIN and has so curled fur tufts on his legs.
Also, he's like, mount size. That is, really huge. At least this one here is in a good mood too.]
Gilgamesh, you can pet him! [See how he bows curiously!!]
no subject
Gilgamesh launches himself full force at the lion and starts to wrestle.]
Come here, you beast! I'll show you who's the master here!
[Uh... the animal's well-trained, so there's no chance of any unfortunate mauling and it appears to tolerate the sudden burst of enthusiasm well enough, but... Vietnam, sometimes, your husband's pretty embarrassing. Extremely embarrassing. People are staring and gossiping over the crazy man who decided to entangle himself with a big cat.
Though it might be endearing in a weird macho sort of way. That's just how Gilgamesh operates, apparently.]
no subject
That's one way to be affectionate with his new lion friend! Now, her husband might be an embarrassment, and people are pointing at this hero ("Hey, isn't that Gilgamesh wrestling with that lion?", "What a loser.", "He's so handsome!!!!", "Wait, isn't he wearing leopard print while fighting that lion...?") that Vietnam has to worry. Just a little.]
Gilgamesh...be careful!! [But she laughs a little, right after. It is endearing to watch him. In fact, she picks up the train of her ao dai, and runs in after him.]
Do not worry, lion. I have restrained the assailant. [WHICH LION IS SHE TALKING ABOUT. Well clearly it wasn't Gilgamesh, because she just jumped his back.]
no subject
Her husband, who tries too hard, but ever for her sake. For all his faults, in some ways, it's hard not to love him.]
I have mastered the dancing lion! All shall pay tribute to me as the one, the only, THE LION KING!
[AHHHHHHHHHHSEEEEEEEENYAAAAAAAADADABEESDABAAAAAAAAAAAAAA intensifies]
no subject
He's so endearing, she just keeps holding on, kisses him on the cheek (nala style? No it's a real kiss)--]
For this occasion, will you give me blessings, Lion King? I heard that it's part of the Circle of Life.
[From the day we arrive on the planet, and, blinking, step into the suuuuuuuuun--]
