Who: Anyone who wants to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival!
When: Roughly 11th September to 17th September.
Where: Gisela
What: A log for those who wish to use their tickets during Mid Autumn Festival! You can still use this log for visits outside of this week too (as a catch-all) but the script is for the festivities. Basically what you can do is hang out at the Inn, at Gisela, or check out the island's hot springs!
Rating: Probably PG only for if a lantern catches fire or something.


[Welcome to Gisela, the floating sky islands above Gresser! Known for its mystic scenery, hot springs, and the fact that you nearly died the one time you had a dungeon here, Gisela could be considered a popular vacation spot. Or at least it should be, because Vietnam invested good money into this inn.

Inn, you say? Yes, after the defeating the dungeon, Vietnam bought a business here, an inn near the hot springs, Dragon's Flight and Phoenix Dance. A normally quaint inn, it has transformed to offer more festivities. Staff will welcome you with elaborate fruit displays they will put in your room for you to admire (and eat). You may also like to sign up for mooncake making sessions, where you will be able to make mooncakes together with your friends and family! Share a moment with them, and then share the mooncake. Nice.

Lanterns are strung up, leading you out towards the gardens. The inn itself doesn't have a lot of space for A GREAT FESTIVAL, but on certain nights, there will be lion dancing and a few stalls opened up to sell souvenirs, all handcrafted thanks to Vietnam's instruction. Now, lion dancing usually consist of two or more people under a lion costume, however, some generous NPCs have lent them some tame magical lion beasts that look similar to the Asian mythological kind. However, Vietnam and Kija also found a pretty wild one that seems to be stuck eating some lion snacks, because they tried to wrangle it and before they could run, they were forced to commit. Kija named it Jae-ha.

Go further, and it seems like the hot springs that Vietnam has permission to use have also a bit of decoration themselves, with something heat and water proof, that is.

Should you just want to spend your time looking at the moon, darker, quieter areas of the gardens will let you do just that. Sit down and relax, of course.

If you don't really care about any of this at all, perhaps you'd just want to go sightseeing in Gisela!

And basically do whatever you want in this place, really. RELAX, HERO.]

[ Oh they were using him for advertising. Syr, she's so sorry. ]

A wish for them, huh? Then why not just write exactly that? Your wish doesn't have to be eloquent or long, but something that comes from the heart. Something with them in mind.

[ And at that, Lux paused, looking up toward the moons in thought. Her face washed in that golden, peach-tinged light, she smiled, nodding simply. ]

I think I do. The reason I wrote what I did was because I didn't know any other way to live. That if I could simply shine bright, a lone, guiding star in the night sky, that that would be enough.

But something like that isn't enough, and is in some ways a very selfish and lonely thing to wish for. It isn't a wish for the people of Enprise, but a wish for myself.

[chronosynthesis]

Ah, I suppose that is true... [He knows he's taking it too seriously, so he looks back down at the lantern and begins to write exactly what he said.

He smiles absently to himself.] But a star is never alone, for there are hundreds beside them all carrying the same burden for those who look up to them. One may shine more brightly than others, but I think the comfort comes from seeing all of them together.

I, ah, see what you mean, however. What do you wish for instead?

[rememberher]

I didn't want them to carry that burden, and even still...

[ She hesitates. ]

I admit, that I still don't. I wouldn't wish this path I want to walk upon just anyone. Not because I don't trust them, or because I don't truly care about them, but...

[ Because something like this, the path she wished to walk, may very well destroy her (them), a thousand times over. She knew that, and yet... ]

Because I want to protect them, Syrlya. Because, when I close my eyes, I can see each and every one of those stars in the night sky, shining brightly. The people here who I know, and those who I do not. The heroes—

[ And the way she said it, she did not want to call them that, but had no other term. ]

Who come from very different worlds, all bound together by this strange thread of fate. And the people who call this world, Enprise, their home, regardless of what banner they fly. I want to help bring them peace, because more than fighting in some war of hatred and retribution, I want to fight so that no one would be made to suffer, with my life and every fiber of my being.

[ And looking down again, her hair golden and glowing in the light of the moon, she smiled more naturally than she ever had for him. ]

That is my wish.

[chronosynthesis]

[Syrlya turns away from his lantern halfway through his sentence as he listens to her, his expression growing soft. Fond, almost, at such pure idealism and hope. She really is such a sweet person.] Lux...

[He smiles and moves to gently put his hand on her shoulder.] I agree, I understand the desire to protect those around you. Especially those who cannot protect themselves.

But... perhaps it is not a path you will wish upon anyone, but it is a path that other people will take. They will hold the strength, hope, and pain of those who cannot... it is not something you can take from them. You shouldn't.

You can protect those who fight beside you as well. You must. When we all choose to carry that burden, we need one another. No person alone can change the future of a world. That is why they all shine together.

[rememberher]

[ Feeling his hand rest on her shoulder, Lux looks up at Syrlya, her smile still just as genuine as before, but hinted with mild surprise.

Letting her chin dip gently, she closed her eyes with a small nod. ]

I know.

[ But Syrlya, while there are those who wanted to walk the same path, and while she would never deny them that (question, certainly, because there were likely so few who would truly want to do such a thing, knowing what would be asked of them), it isn't something that she would want for just anyone. She herself doubted that she could be so strong.

But to be able to walk that path, to make sure that no one had to suffer, had to go through the grief and anguish that tore families and friends apart, she would do anything. She hardly expected the same from just anyone.

"No person alone can change the future of a world."

There was a time when she would have simply scoffed at that, firm in her belief that it was possible. That he didn't understand. But now... ]

And I would never take that from them, nor would I deny them their right to fight for what they believe in. If there were others who wished to follow that same path, then I would be happy to fight by their side.

[chronosynthesis]

[He smiles warmly at her, drawing his hand back.] I'm glad. I take it you have found what you believe in, then?

[rememberher]

[ Blinking a few times in surprise, her smile turned incredibly fond as she nodded. ]

I have, yes.

[chronosynthesis]

Good! I knew you would find it with a bit of time, I'm sure your heart is much lighter for it. [He turns back to his lantern long enough to finish the wish.] To believe in people enough to protect them... I think that is a good way to be.
