( open ) mid-autumn in gisela
Who: Anyone who wants to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival!
When: Roughly 11th September to 17th September.
Where: Gisela
What: A log for those who wish to use their tickets during Mid Autumn Festival! You can still use this log for visits outside of this week too (as a catch-all) but the script is for the festivities. Basically what you can do is hang out at the Inn, at Gisela, or check out the island's hot springs!
Rating: Probably PG only for if a lantern catches fire or something.

[Welcome to Gisela, the floating sky islands above Gresser! Known for its mystic scenery, hot springs, and the fact that you nearly died the one time you had a dungeon here, Gisela could be considered a popular vacation spot. Or at least it should be, because Vietnam invested good money into this inn.
Inn, you say? Yes, after the defeating the dungeon, Vietnam bought a business here, an inn near the hot springs, Dragon's Flight and Phoenix Dance. A normally quaint inn, it has transformed to offer more festivities. Staff will welcome you with elaborate fruit displays they will put in your room for you to admire (and eat). You may also like to sign up for mooncake making sessions, where you will be able to make mooncakes together with your friends and family! Share a moment with them, and then share the mooncake. Nice.
Lanterns are strung up, leading you out towards the gardens. The inn itself doesn't have a lot of space for A GREAT FESTIVAL, but on certain nights, there will be lion dancing and a few stalls opened up to sell souvenirs, all handcrafted thanks to Vietnam's instruction. Now, lion dancing usually consist of two or more people under a lion costume, however, some generous NPCs have lent them some tame magical lion beasts that look similar to the Asian mythological kind. However, Vietnam and Kija also found a pretty wild one that seems to be stuck eating some lion snacks, because they tried to wrangle it and before they could run, they were forced to commit. Kija named it Jae-ha.
Go further, and it seems like the hot springs that Vietnam has permission to use have also a bit of decoration themselves, with something heat and water proof, that is.
Should you just want to spend your time looking at the moon, darker, quieter areas of the gardens will let you do just that. Sit down and relax, of course.
If you don't really care about any of this at all, perhaps you'd just want to go sightseeing in Gisela!
And basically do whatever you want in this place, really. RELAX, HERO.]

Closed to Lux
[ Masamune says, setting the small gift basket of moon cakes in several varieties down between them both. There are extras of each that he figured others may find useful if they didn't bring their own but for the moment he's only concerned with his roommate and what she might take to put off the set of cake options. While the more traditional kind are present in their normal coloring and fillings, he also has a few brightly colored ones that are flavored differently and look as such, too, with their lack of a traditional brown coating.
They include a green one (a 'green tea' variety), a red one (a 'cheese cranberry'), and a purple one ('purple sweet potato'). He is aware that not everyone would be familiar or accustomed to traditional moon cakes so he tried to think of a few varients that might appeal to both those familiar and not familiar with the confectionary of tradition.
As for Lux, he assumed she might not be all that familiar with email or the festival but with it based on the fact she doesn't know of elephants on top of being fair-haired, Masamune is careful not to make the same mistake as he did with Gilgamesh and doesn't ask. She is, after all, the one who invited him to this in the first place. If not for her he wouldn't even be here right now. Without people to share and enjoy it with, the familiar tradition of pastry and celebration of the moon only creates longing homesickness. Not that he would admit such so easily, but there is a reason he just brought her five or six different types of moon cakes in multiple quantities when she is only one person.
Lux has single-handedly made it possible for him to acknowledge the holiday with minimal loneliness both with her own company as well her encouragement to invite others to share cakes. Needless to say, he is certainly grateful for that.
( variety moon cakes based from these! ) ]
What do you think? Are you traditional material this evening or feeling a little adventurous?

[ Acting as the hostess for this particular affair is something of a thankless job. Obviously she would get a few comments from those she invited ("this is a great idea!" "wow everything looks wonderful!"), but never spending enough time to share more than a few comments, she had been practically pulled in by Masamune, someone who, Lux would admit, she had not expected to see.
And my, he certainly went all out, a surprised exclamation escaping her as she looked over the basket full of colorful and beautifully-decorated mooncakes. A hand held over her mouth, her eyes widened with absolute surprise and glee, before she looked back up at the older man. ]
This is for me?
[ But... but how was she supposed to decide? Positively glowing with delight, she beamed at him. ]
I don't know! I haven't gotten a chance to try any of them yet. What would you suggest?
[ Although maybe a bit of adventure would be fun... ]

[ Yes, it is all for her. Masamune is quite happy to see such a reaction from Lux, too. That's the face of someone who genuinely appreciates what is before her and, although he would have been glad even for more casual appreciation, her reaction is most welcome.
At her question, Masamune considers a moment before asking her a few questions. ]
Well— Have you ever tasted a mooncake before? If not, what's your preferred sweet pastry type?
[ She can have all of them, to be honest, but he thinks she might get sick if she eats one of each all at once, so they'll have to at least pick a starter. ]

I haven't before, no. I never had the chance, and by the time I did, most everyone had already gotten their fill.
[ Not that she minded, but there were certainly a few people that she wanted to share with. But such was the fate of the hostess. Still... ]
If I had to choose... Maybe something a bit light to start.
[ To start...
Because desserts went in a separate stomach from everything else, right? ]
