( open ) mid-autumn in gisela
Who: Anyone who wants to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival!
When: Roughly 11th September to 17th September.
Where: Gisela
What: A log for those who wish to use their tickets during Mid Autumn Festival! You can still use this log for visits outside of this week too (as a catch-all) but the script is for the festivities. Basically what you can do is hang out at the Inn, at Gisela, or check out the island's hot springs!
Rating: Probably PG only for if a lantern catches fire or something.

[Welcome to Gisela, the floating sky islands above Gresser! Known for its mystic scenery, hot springs, and the fact that you nearly died the one time you had a dungeon here, Gisela could be considered a popular vacation spot. Or at least it should be, because Vietnam invested good money into this inn.
Inn, you say? Yes, after the defeating the dungeon, Vietnam bought a business here, an inn near the hot springs, Dragon's Flight and Phoenix Dance. A normally quaint inn, it has transformed to offer more festivities. Staff will welcome you with elaborate fruit displays they will put in your room for you to admire (and eat). You may also like to sign up for mooncake making sessions, where you will be able to make mooncakes together with your friends and family! Share a moment with them, and then share the mooncake. Nice.
Lanterns are strung up, leading you out towards the gardens. The inn itself doesn't have a lot of space for A GREAT FESTIVAL, but on certain nights, there will be lion dancing and a few stalls opened up to sell souvenirs, all handcrafted thanks to Vietnam's instruction. Now, lion dancing usually consist of two or more people under a lion costume, however, some generous NPCs have lent them some tame magical lion beasts that look similar to the Asian mythological kind. However, Vietnam and Kija also found a pretty wild one that seems to be stuck eating some lion snacks, because they tried to wrangle it and before they could run, they were forced to commit. Kija named it Jae-ha.
Go further, and it seems like the hot springs that Vietnam has permission to use have also a bit of decoration themselves, with something heat and water proof, that is.
Should you just want to spend your time looking at the moon, darker, quieter areas of the gardens will let you do just that. Sit down and relax, of course.
If you don't really care about any of this at all, perhaps you'd just want to go sightseeing in Gisela!
And basically do whatever you want in this place, really. RELAX, HERO.]

hi i'm late but i brought starbucks
(Although she found the whole thing rather sweet, all told, as it was very clear that the hero king was quite fond of her.)
Seeing Alice in the courtyard, at first, Lux debated even approaching. There was little that the two women had in common, other than a mutual friend, but seeing her arrange and then rearrange herself numerous times, she thought it might be best to at least inquire.
And so, wandering over, the blond took a breath as if to speak, then stopped as ink and paper spilled rather unceremoniously to the ground. ]
Oh—!
[ Moving faster now, Lux made toward the mess, almost instinctively gathering the gossamer threads of mana that made up her signature in her hand. It would be hard to see everything in this dim light, and shining light through the darkness was something of her speciality.
So here, Alice, let her help illuminate things for you. Gentle and warm, hovering just over her left hand, an orb of prismatic light danced, floating out and upward over the scene. ]
Here, let me help you.
[ And crouching down, Lux would help her gather her things, if Alice let her. ]
no subject
She shifts her long hair out of her face to offer up a small "thank you" in return as Alice quietly gathers her things. She wishes that she spoke to Lux more, instead of quietly ducking behind chores or tea instead of conversing. ]
I'm sorry.
[ Alice offers up an apology anyway, despite the fact Lux is helping her. It half-registers with Alice after half a minute later. She straightens herself, pushing her long errant hair out of her face. ]
Ah, really, I cannot thank you enough for this. [ She starts to straighten all of her papers into one neat pile. ] As silly as it sounds, the lanterns make me uncomfortable.
no subject
She didn't seem the sort who liked to talk much, and, if overwhelmed, would startle easily. So a more delicate approach was necessary. ]
It's no trouble at all.
[ A gentle, reassuring smile painting her lips, the blond offered a few errant bits of paper to the other woman, her head tilted just so, a few golden strands spilling over one shoulder.
Ah, uncomfortable? Blinking a few times in surprise, her smile smoothed. ]
Oh? I hadn't realized. Why is that, if you don't mind my asking?
no subject
At the question, Alice's smile fades. With her things back in her hands, Alice delays the inevitable answer, straightening up her papers into a nice, little pile. ]
I'm not very fond of fire.
[ And if there was a possibility of anything in the lanterns that wasn't fire, Alice has yet to find out. She gets back up, holding her papers close to her chest. Wishes don't come true if someone else knows them, right? ]
But it doesn't matter. [ She felt guilty that her fear of fire limited her so much in a situation like this, where everyone is enjoying themselves. The only solution she had was to act as if it was nothing. So, she changes the subject entirely, pointing up to the light. ]
Is that some sort of spell?
no subject
Her smile turning warm, she masked her surprise. Was she afraid of fire? ]
Oh? I see. I suppose that that would make sense, then. Not being comfortable around them.
[ That was what made them float, after all. Admittedly, that was the part of the festival that Lux looked forward to the most, watching those lanterns fly through the sky, illuminating it like starlight. ]
But it does.
[ Chin tipping downward, the blond closed her eyes. ]
You very clearly want to participate, but being uncomfortable with the lanterns like that, it makes it difficult, doesn't it? And I would be a terrible hostess if I couldn't help in some way, although...
[ How could she— ]
Hm?
[ A spell? Opening her eyes, Lux looked up to what the other woman was gesturing toward, that gentle hummed question hanging in the air.
Ah. She might have an idea. Her smile turning bright, she looked up at that ball of light as it gently illuminated the space. ]
Yes, that's right. I'm a light mage, both here as well as where I am from. Spells like this are my speciality; creating light to guide others in the darkness.
You know, some people say that wishing on a star can make someone's wish come true. That those stars will guide them to where they need to go in order to be heard. They may not be stars, but the spells I cast hold my wishes deep within them. So perhaps even this one might one day make a dream come true, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem.
[ And directing her gaze back down at Alice, she canted her head slightly. ]
Would you like to teach you that spell? So you can make a wish without needing a lantern.
no subject
[ Or so was English custom or some such, she was sure. Besides, she enjoyed Vietnam's country, even if her fear had banished her from approaching closer. It wasn't just the lanterns, either, her fear kept her from using any sources of light, at times. To say it was a nuisance for her was an understatement.
But the idea of a spell to generate light was a relief; it may even coax Alice to come closer. ]
I would like to think that one of these lanterns would work; the wish isn't for me. Would it be any different without a flame?
[ Like the boats she sent into the river without candles. Alice never really believed in these things; they always seemed unrealistic to her. But after the things Sion had told her, Alice was willing to reconsider her cynical worldview. It gave her hope that one day he wouldn't have to worry about disappearing. ]
You would show me how? [ How silly something so small, so really insignificant to her usually made her perk up. ] Oh, yes, I would like to learn.
no subject
Although in Alice's case, it made far more sense than simply not wanting to be bothered with it.
Still, something about that interested her, and tilting her head gently to one side, a curious smile tugging at her lips and her eyebrows rising just so. ]
Not for you? Then for who?
[ Sion, perhaps? Not that she would ever ask that aloud, oh, no. But she might hope it, even a little bit. Both Hero King and his Lady of the House deserved every happiness. ]
You don't need to tell me, but if you do, your secret's safe with me.
[ Ah yes, the spell, good. Lux had hoped that it would be something of interest to her and, her smile only growing, she took a few tentative steps toward Alice. Slow, not unlike someone approaching a shy child. ]
Could I borrow your hands, then? Hold them out like this for me, please.
[ And cupping her own in front of her, making a small bowl with them, she nodded to the other woman. ]
