[There's absolutely no way that Hakuno hanging around a shifty ginger thief with a penchant for doing the dirty work that needs doing could go wrong, none at all. But, as a senior member of Blanc's army, he felt obligated to help out the freshmeat as they adjusted to life in Caissa, especially as they all explored and got thoroughly lost in Lasker. More importantly, he needed more ice cream buddies. Less importantly, if he knew about her relationship with Gilgamesh the two of them could take turns gossiping about him, as Gil's ex-roommate and Gil's ex(?)-Master. (Although- gods, that makes them both exes. Although he doesn't know about Servants and Masters and all of that, so he'd just assume that they had a kinky relationship once upon a time. Maybe it's for the best.)

[ having already met kaito once (just once, but it was significant enough thanks to the antics of a certain ermine currently resting around her shoulders who just so happens to share a certain thieving habit with gaius), it does not take bishamon very long to surmise what exactly about the treat gaius finds so unnerving. bishamon, too, makes a similar expression of distaste, though hers is perhaps more visceral. ]

In my world, reverence for your saviors wasn't quite so demeaning.

Well, he is chocolate.

[It's one of the better flavors of ice cream and one of the better flavors period, and if you to be turned into dessert...you know, you could do a lot worse than ending up as chocolate. It's actually probably a sign of their esteem for Kaito that he's flavored as the workhorse of the frozen treat section, thinking about it. Huh.

...but it also means if he wants chocolate he'll have to eat Kaito's head.

[ he says that with such meaning in his words that she winds up spending an extra handful of seconds just waiting for him to clarify... because it doesn't quite translate well for her — he's chocolate? so?? — but she's certain it must mean something...

[There's no words here. He says nothing. He just solemnly puts down Kaito and turns away from the ice cream and gives her a look.

This isn't just a regular look, oh no. It's a look of deep, deep, incredibly deep, asscrack of a- you know deep, pity. And a moment of silence as he just basically, without words, says I pity you for not understanding.

Then, with a shake of his head, he returns to the ice cream.]
