[Kaede didn't really know any of the names on the roster she'd been shown; one pulled at a dreamlike memory, but the others? Strangers, all of them.

Not that this whole world was anything less than dreamlike. Kaede had spent quite a while on the outer decks, looking off at the horizon with its double sunsets and at the forest below resembling so much moss at this cruising altitude.

But she'd made the mistake of misplacing her gloves while she was otherwise occupied in the very important task of petting a small flock of birds. Now she had no idea where they were, her axe was starting to char through its protective covering, and Kaede was already sick of the constant burns on her hands just from touching the weapon. Starting off this trip with more wasn't exactly the best first impression.

Hopefully there were extra pairs in the room she'd been assigned to. She hadn't been in there yet. Her Carrier bounced around her feet, decidedly more overtly cheerful than his master was.]

[ If there was one thing he'd learned from his fight in Palamede, it was that he couldn't continue forward here without getting his hands on some weapons. Jae-ha was glad for his magical weapon's ability, of course, since it meant he wasn't tethered to the ground, but there's only so much that fists and kicks can do. So, after finally earning some colle earlier that month, one of the first areas he wanders to on the airship is the wide assortment of weapons.

It isn't long before he catches sight of a familiar face-- familiar only through unfortunate circumstance, since both of them happened to be in the vicinity of each other when the statues had begun to attack, but fighting together is certainly enough of a bonding experience to approach each other and make conversation, isn't it? Besides, he remembers Levi well, and remembers that he was quite strong. He had such a frightening, severe disposition, too, didn't he? What an interesting man.

He seems to be observing some sort of contraption-- they're fairly common here, and he's witnessed their ability to fire lightning-fast projectiles first-hand, but he knows so little about them.

He wanders to Levi's side, giving him a small wave in greeting and a friendly smile. Teach him things, senpai. ]

It's good to run into you when we aren't fighting for our lives, Mister... Levi, was it?

[ Jae-ha could think of no better way to spend time on the airship than in the company of his charming roommate (in the Hall of Glory, at least). So, when she asks him to accompany her in checking out the shops, he doesn't think twice about accepting. Very enthusiastically. It helps that by now he's managed to earn some currency, so maybe they wouldn't end up just window shopping.

He's behaving. So far. He also knows full and well that Vietnam is capable of taking care of herself should anyone cause her trouble, but that doesn't stop him from keeping an eye out for her. He's seen what some of the locals are capable of in the gambling area... ]

Well then, where would you like to go first, Vietnam-chan? [ Yeah, he's from a land based on Ancient Korea but uses Japanese honorifics... don't ask me, okay. ] There's a nice clothing boutique over there, but we just passed a cosmetics shop, too. I realize that you have an abundance of natural beauty, so you don't need such things, but they're fun to try on.

Or maybe you're looking for something entirely different?

[ Jae-ha can't say he's ever had the luxury of partaking in milk baths. Perhaps this was a privilege offered to the nobility and royalty of his home (he'd have to ask Kija when he got the chance, or Yona when he saw her again), but as for him, it seems perfectly wasteful. Still, he readily accepts the chance to bond with his Hall of Glory roommate, given that even after a month of living together, he still can't figure out Setsuna as a person.

He was quiet, that was for sure, and not quite the menace his first impression might have suggested. His quiet words made him all the more mysterious. He cared enough for the lives of innocent people to put his own life on the line during battle, and that was enough for Jae-ha to desire friendship. He was strong, too, and carried himself with an element of grace that made him wonder just what the man's profession was in his own world.

Right now, he's not thinking of that, though. He's simply glancing over to his friend, in the adjacent tub of milk, marveling at how at peace Setsuna looks. Jae-ha doesn't think he's ever seen him so relaxed, not even when he's sleeping. Slowly, he steps into his own bath, casting aside the towel around his waist and lowering himself into the liquid.

When Kija finally meets up with Jae Ha, he'll be quite the sight - hair in a complete mess, clothes disheveled and even torn in one or two places, and skin glistening from a bit of sweat. Many heroes were using their time on the Airy to indulge, and Kija was no different -

It's just unfortunate that his idea of 'indulging' appears to be sparring with random people at the gym. So, nothing's really changed at all. He's just a guy who has no idea how to kick back and relax. ]

Jae Ha! Finally, I've found you. [ Messy he may be, but he does appear to have enjoyed himself at least. Always eager to be with his dragonkin, he moves over to where Jae Ha is. ] This ship is quite incredible!

[ Jae-ha didn't intend to spend an entire afternoon in this establishment, but time passes quickly when you're having fun. Namely, when you wander in with the intention of getting to know the cute woman weaving intricate braids into the clients' hair, and not only does she appreciate your tales from another land, but so do her friends, too. Honestly, this is a pretty perfect idea of how to spend an afternoon.

He's even helping around a bit, because he doesn't want to be a burden while the women are trying to make a living, handing them a brush or a pot of whatever hair product they needed. When the shop gets busier, however, he decides that he should let them work, and is about to bid them goodbye (for now, he'd surely return, their presence was a ray of sunshine on a dark day), when he spots Adra walking past the storefront. ]

Ah, Adra-kun! Come over here! [ He leans out of the front door, waving him over enthusiastically. Working together to collect herbs was a mutual effort, but he thinks he knows how to express his gratitude for healing them and the civilians, now.

Plus, he's feeling nice. ]

[ Jae-ha was no stranger to gambling, he was a pirate for many years, after all, but he didn't usually partake directly, preferring to watch from the sidelines as his friends bickered and laughed the night away. Right now, however, the need to earn more colle has him drawing on old tricks. Much to the chagrin of his current table, he's managed to score a sizeable pot at a game of craps, but while he's mid-gloat, the table next to him steals his thunder.

Namely, the girl playing there is apparently pulling some much more impressive moves.

Jae-ha can't even fault people for losing interest in him and going to watch the other game, because he does too. He sits down next to her, and since they're both Heroes, they're given some room. ]

If it's a cute girl stealing all the luck in the room, I can't be too mad. Have you played this before?

[ They don't play this variation of poker back home, but they do play a version similar enough that Jae-ha catches on quickly. There are three players left at the table, and, through some form or fashion, Allen and Jae-ha have entered an unspoken agreement to team up against the third. It may be because they're both heroes, or perhaps it's because the third player has quite the rude mouth on them. Either way, right now, they're going down.

He's developed a system with the boy (whose name he's yet to learn)-- shooting him the smallest, most fleeting of winks whenever he's got a particularly good hand, always careful to make sure the third player isn't looking.

Technically, this is cheating, isn't it? ]
