[ Damn Jae-ha don't be so dramatic. But no, this is a serious situation, and Jae-ha is already dusting whatever he can off of Kija's clothes.
They're in a good place to take care of this, though, and Kija's lucky they aren't strapped for cash anymore. Not as much as before, anyway. ]
Come on, I know a good place to get us cleaned up. [ He's already leading the way. Also, us, because he could always use a bath, too. ]

Everyone is wearing their own clothes. Will I need to get some as well? [ Since he's only been wearing his uniform so far, and he always looks out of place among all the people in civvies.
Kija's never shopped for clothing, though. All the people in his village wore the same thing. ]

[ Cue a horrified look from Jae-ha, who can't fathom spending all his time in that uniform? It wasn't very stylish (in his opinion), comfortable, or suitable for... anything, past their "official" business. Without another word, Jae-ha leads him down an array of boutiques, scanning each window for the right one. They'd come back to these stores later.
First, Kija needs a bath. When they step into the area, Jae-ha hands him a towel. ]
First, we need to get you cleaned up! Before stepping into the soothing milk baths here, though, you'll need to shower and scrub down first. [ nasty-ass ]

Kija follows Jae Ha obediently, recognizing that Jae Ha knew best in these areas (what a metro). ]
Do I smell that bad? [ At least Yona isn't here to see his nasty ass, so he's less bothered than he could be. Stepping into the men's changing area, Kija starts to slip out of his clothes.
if jae ha wants to introspect deeply about his scars, they are like ... right there ]
fine
Not too bad, actually. But you don't want to put on new clothes over a dirty body.
[ Better to start off with a clean template. Besides, he knows Kija wouldn't give himself this luxury unless nudged to it, and after his first encounter with the milk baths, he's a fan of how relaxing the mixture of fragrances and milk is.
Once they step inside, he also begins to unwrap the sash around his robe, sparing Kija a glance as he steps out of his uniform. It isn't his intention to invade the other's privacy, but rather, practically an instinct to look his way every now and then and make sure he was doing okay. That's what happens when you're basically babysitting your brothers all the time.
He catches a glimpse of those deep, old scars across Kija's back again, and is, once again, reminded of their origin. His eyes linger on that marred flesh longer than he intends to, mostly because to this day, he marvels at the complete lack of blame Kija has towards that person. How he's remained optimistic and devoted to his purpose despite never having a chance at a normal childhood. These scars serve as a reminder of their limited mortality, as well. Come to think of it, he isn't certain if that inevitability still holds true here...
The sound of the faucet turning off in one of the large tubs makes him snap back to attention, and Jae-ha reaches towards a towel, wrapping it around his waist, before turning back to his friend. Their bath was ready. ]
This way. [ He says, waving him over and walking to the edge of the large wooden tub. ]

There are times that Kija can be oddly perceptive, and there are times he's just as oblivious as always. This time, it's the latter. He doesn't even know that Jae Ha threw him that glance, focusing on getting that towel wrapped neatly around his hips instead (and fumbling on occasion). It's true that the marks on his back are tied to an incident most would call a tragedy. It's true that for most of his childhood, he's been touch-starved for the only parent still alive with him, and such a violent incident actually made the only time they had touched him. Still, despite it all, there was no shame in having it on his back. He willingly showed it to everyone, because with his positive attitude Kija saw no actual tragedy. He understood the feelings of his father, and if anything, the mark only strengthened his conviction.
wow wait theres no actual point to this introspection because kija has no idea they're having a serious thread right now
anyway
Nimbly, Kija dips his toes into the water to test the temperature. He then steps in, the expression on his face softening and his cheeks going pink with bliss. They always tend to do this when he's feeling comfortable and happy (or flustered, or emotional, or embarrassed, or amazed...) ]
This was a good idea, Jae Ha. A bath is indeed the best thing after a spar. [ his nasty ass should probably start scrubbing though. a relaxing soak isn't enough to get all that sweat and mess off of him ]

He closes his eyes, taking just a moment to put his hair up, using that same ribbon to tie it into a loose bun. Of course. ]
Have you ever had a milk bath before?
