Airy: Meet your teammates edition!
Not that this whole world was anything less than dreamlike. Kaede had spent quite a while on the outer decks, looking off at the horizon with its double sunsets and at the forest below resembling so much moss at this cruising altitude.
But she'd made the mistake of misplacing her gloves while she was otherwise occupied in the very important task of petting a small flock of birds. Now she had no idea where they were, her axe was starting to char through its protective covering, and Kaede was already sick of the constant burns on her hands just from touching the weapon. Starting off this trip with more wasn't exactly the best first impression.
Hopefully there were extra pairs in the room she'd been assigned to. She hadn't been in there yet. Her Carrier bounced around her feet, decidedly more overtly cheerful than his master was.]
i'm going to tag the room log so this can be after initial introductions, if that's okay?
Song... Soooooong... Yoohoo! I have some blueberries waiting for you if you come baaaack!
[ Instead, what he finds is an odd pair of gloves sitting on a ledge, and though they seem vaguely familiar, they seem rather... out of place. Still, he holds onto them, just in case he runs into the owner.
He also finds his roommate and dungeon partner, and much more worrying, his roommate receiving burns from her weapon. ]
Kaede! [ He rushes over, immediately alarmed and fretting with worry. ] Let go of your weapon, it's hurting you! [ It's then that the realization dawns on him-- these are Kaede's gloves. Immediately, he offers them up. ] Here-- these are yours, aren't they?

Her Carrier was much more friendly, though! As usual. The dog barks, encouraging her to turn faster—and her attention is caught up more or less immediately by the gloves.]
-yes, they are.
[She's not wasting any time reaching out to grab them, though.]

[ Thankfully, she takes the gloves, though that doesn't stop him from leaning in and trying to assess the damage. ] Your poor hands... you should seek out a healer, or we can go looking for a potion to help soothe the burns.

[Kaede herself leaned away from him, rocking back on her heels. There was a person near her. She didn't like people being near her. It made her paranoid.
...not that she wasn't always paranoid.]
"We"?

[ Not really, and he is going to be so Unsure trying to sleep tonight..... yikes.
His eyes widen as she pulls away. He got the feeling Kaede wasn't overly friendly, or maybe she was just shy, but coupled with how she seemed completely unfazed with her burns, she was a puzzle. ]
You're injured. I'm not going to leave you alone. [ That'd be a total jerk move. ]

[Lies. Despite Kaede's stubborn attempts at acting perfectly normal and that there weren't painful reddish splotches on her palms making her movements sluggish and ginger, it was still kind of obvious. Especially when her frown deepened when she tried to pull the gloves on.
Her dog barked at her before she could do that, and Kaede stopped abruptly with her fingers barely in the cuff and her axe held in the crook of her elbow.]
What?
[Bark!]

[ He can't imagine what it must be like to have a weapon like this, constantly threatening to hurt its user if not handled properly. It seemed a bit counterproductive, and he wonders if Kaede chose the weapon herself, or if she was assigned to it. ]
At least let me go get medicine for you.

...fine.
[Naoki barked happily, and ran an excited circle around Jae-ha's feet. He was going too!
Which would almost definitely guarantee Kaede would be following like an overprotective parent.]

[ This dog is making it hard to take a step without worrying about accidentally stepping on him. Jae-ha moves slowly and deliberately, even though he's clearly regards this as a pressing issue.
He turns back to look at her, then at the dog. ]
What's the little guy's name? [ He's just trying to make conversation, since she's so... reserved. TO put it nicely. ]
