showsnopiety: (And it feels)

[Open] It's getting hot in here

Who: Caren and anyone visiting the hot springs!
When: Post dungeon, could be right after fail/success, could be days after
Where: Hot Springs of course
What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.

[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[At first that's a worrying sight. Then it's a confusing one when he does manage to notice that she doesn't seem to be entirely human. Maybe she doesn't need to breathe? But it's still...bizarre. Bizarre is a good word for this]

Um...miss? [He heads over, crouching nearby] Are...you okay?

[Confused 'Kito is confused]

[Aigis' sensors detect movement outside of the water. Someone... looking at her? She can't make out what the other person is saying, in the water like she is, so she stirs, sitting up on the ground. It's shallow enough here that she's able to sit on the bottom of the pool, her neck and chin just barely out of the water.] Yes? Did you need something?
sky_sharkling: (Explaining)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-05-24 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
[He blinks in surprise] Oh! You're okay. [That is good to know!] I was worried that you might not be alright, lying down in the water like that.

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-05-24 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! I'm sorry to have worried you!

I don't need to breathe, so I can lie underwater all I want.
sky_sharkling: (Adorable wut)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-05-24 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
It's alright~ I worry a lot, so it's not unusual for me. [He smiles, not bothered by it]

That's kind of neat. Makes it easier to keep all of you warm at once. [Nods wisely. It sucks having a cold head while everything else is warm from the water, after all]
seventhgen: (pic#9975454)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-05-25 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's true! It does create a uniform environment of temperature around me. When I'm sitting like this, the temperature of my head is several degrees colder than the rest of me.

Wouldn't that be uncomfortable...?
sky_sharkling: (Explaining)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-05-25 09:31 am (UTC)(link)
It can be! The worst is when the rest of you is all warm, but then your nose is cold. Cold nose is not fun. [Fact!]

Can you feel the temperature, or just know it? [He is assuming she is mostly robot now, given the way she said that]
seventhgen: (pic#9961746)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-05-26 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... [She pauses, tilting her head to the side in an approximation of how humans think.] What is the difference?
sky_sharkling: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-05-26 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Difference? [He taps his chin, thinking on this] Well, knowing what the temperature is, is like information. It is this or that. Feeling it is like...a sensation. Like, when I get in the water, I feel hotter from the heat, it feels nice and relaxing. Or if it was snowing, the cold makes me cooler and if I'm not wearing enough I'd shiver and want to find somewhere warmer.

...I'm not sure I'm god at explaining that. [Sheepish]
seventhgen: (pic#9975454)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-05-27 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's all right. I do not think I would know how to describe it, either. It is like if I asked you, 'what does salty taste like'?

I can measure the temperature around my whole body. Does that count?
sky_sharkling: (Happy smile)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-05-29 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
[He has to think on that for a second before laughing softly] Yeah, I don't think I could describe that. Sometimes things just don't work with words.

[He nods] I'd say so! It's close enough to count, I think.

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-05-31 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
It's unfortunate. I would like to know these things... but there is much I can't actually experience for myself. [She sounds a little disappointed.]

Do you enjoy the temperature of the springs?
sky_sharkling: (Adorable wut)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-01 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe one day someone will come up with a magic or something that will help. This world is strange, it could happen. [He's willing to bet weirder things have happened here]

I do! There's a few spots that are a bit too hot, but most of the springs are nice and comfortable.
seventhgen: (pic#9999064)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-06-03 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Magic that could... ah! Do you think such a thing would really be possible?
sky_sharkling: (Explaining)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-07 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't surprise me. Magic is supposed to be able to do all sorts of things. I'm not sure how, because I don't know magic very well myself, it doesn't exist in my world. But someone who knows it better might be able to find a way.
seventhgen: (pic#9975454)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-06-07 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... I wonder...

I would like to be able to eat food. I've been curious about it for a long time now.
sky_sharkling: (Happy smile)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-08 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Food is good. Especially good food, good food after doing something tiring makes everything worth it. [Akito likes his food] It makes you feel happy and relaxed all in one go. Unless you eat too much.
seventhgen: (pic#9961746)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-06-09 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
[She blinks, seeming intently curious.] What happens if you eat too much? Minato-san is always eating far more than I believe he needs to...
sky_sharkling: (Explaining)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-10 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
For some people it's not too bad. I can eat a lot before anything happens, Minato-san might be the same. But if you eat too much you can get a stomach ache, which doesn't feel nice at all. Like moving and everything is an effort, and if you do too much you feel like you're going to pass out.

[There's other parts to it too, but he's making an effort to put it in a way he thinks Aigis will understand. He doesn't want to confuse her after all]
seventhgen: (pic#9953638)

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-06-11 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm... so overfilling your stomach's capacity results in great discomfort? Is it purely because it is overly full, or are there other questions?
sky_sharkling: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-12 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Most of the time it's because it's too full. It's kind of like... [He thinks for a moment for a comparison before hitting on one] It's kind of like a balloon in a way. You put air into it and it stretches, right? Stomach is kind of the same with food, but because there's only so much space it can fit in, it's uncomfortable because it's not supposed to do that.

[personal profile] seventhgen 2016-06-15 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
I see! [She nods sharply.] That analogy makes complete sense! It would be very uncomfortable for the balloon as well.

[Beat.] Assuming, of course, that the balloon were capable of feeling sensations.
sky_sharkling: (Happy smile)

[personal profile] sky_sharkling 2016-06-16 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
[Awesome, analogy success! He's rather proud of himself]

There probably would be somewhere in this world. I've seen some unusual carriers since we got here.
