Afraid to lose control, caught up in this world
Who: Yukari Takeba and OPEN
When: Sometime in the first half of April, after the intro
Where: About Capablanca
What: Ingredient'in'
Rating: Despite the 'doing it raw' joke I want to make, there should not be anything worth warning for
[You know what Yukari really wants a break from? The fact that she spent like two days mopping up sap and bird crap from that stupid stronghold, and hasn't had a chance to go to the beach, or even really get to know the resort town.
This is cruel in kind of a different way. Who starts a war in a place like this?
She supposes she can't be too surprised - their 'enemies' did start everything with that attack on what should've been a peaceful international exhibition.
Regardless, she likes being on the beach, and she wants money, so a call for people to pick up ingredients shouldn't be too bad, right? She can get to know some of the locals, explore around a bit, and help out - while making a little spending cash.
... Except the chef has some stupid taste; so one can find her in one of two ways:
1) at the beginning of her job: before she knows the chef is really... particular. In this case, she's about as much hanging around window shopping as she is picking up real ingredients.
or!
2) a couple days later: when she finds out the chef is a hardass and didn't like half of what she brought him. So now it's kind of personal, and she's a little miffed. So, basically, back to being Yukari.
Catch her whenever!]

So, that's what I want. You should get something, too! [Couples shopping?] Then it'd be easier for you to be out, too. [And they can like. Go on cute dates and not get stopped. That's what she's getting at. Read between the lines, Minty Boy.]
no subject
But, ah...something for him too? He guesses he could probably spare a few more colle for something like that. Especially if she's involved with it. It's not laziness, it's bonding. Honestly! ]
Okay. [ He nods in agreement. ] Are you going to pick it out?
no subject
Letting her pick out matching outfits might be dangerous, though. Because that's exactly what she's going for.]
I could... if you want me to. Oo, maybe something that matches?
[See? Told ya.]
no subject
You think you can?
[ Now it's a challenge. ]
no subject
I bet I could find something that works out for both of us. I might even decide to wear blue. [Who is this and what has she done with Yukari.]
no subject
You'd look good in blue.
[ But she'd look better out of it.
Eeeeeeeey. ]
no subject
Yeah? Maybe I'll try a little of it out. I'd suggest you wearing pink, but it might clash with your hair.
[Yeah, yeah, she looks better wearing nothing but a blush and grabbing at bed sheets. /KANYE SHRUG] Hmm... maybe... [Well now she's in full fashionista. TO THE RACKS. More than the casual browsing she had been doing.
It really isn't long before she has like an armful of shirts.
For both of them.]
no subject
You don't think I could pull it off?
[ Pink and blue look cute together, Yukari, what are you talking about. Bed sheets or otherwise.
He just follows behind her, hands in his pockets. He probably should be paying better attention to what she's picking out, but...he trusts her. Probably. ]
All set?
no subject
She subdivides the piles out, and hands him his. There might be more than men's clothing in there, on accident.] Here, try these on. If you really don't like one, you don't need to keep it, but lemme see at least a couple, yeah? I think you might like at least some of 'em. [And he's really cute and she likes looking at him and...]
no subject
Minato takes the pile of clothing without a second thought. He just trusts that she had good taste, which she does. And he's not very picky. ]
Okay.
[ A simple nod. Yeah a little fashion show. But... ]
Are you gonna show me yours too?
no subject
no subject
He smiles a little at that. ]
Right.
[ As long as he gets a show. I mean...it's only fair. Heh.
Okay, now to the dressing rooms! ]
no subject
Oh wait, we're doing the dressing room thing. Yukari might be second one out, though, because she's more particular about what she chooses.] Hmm... now this one might... [No, no, there's more to it, there! Let's see if her nice, fashionable, sleeveless top matches whatever the heck he just came out in.]
no subject
Yeah. Pink skirt. ]
I should have shaved my legs.
no subject
That's the look she has right now.]
... Do I even want to know?
no subject
[ So it was clearly meant for him and not like Yukari accidentally mixed one of her skirts in with his.
Clearly. ]
no subject
... You definitely need to shave.
Now go put on one of the pants, or something... and give me that skirt.
no subject
--Oh, she meant after he changes. He can do that. He goes back into the room and makes the proper adjustments. And by that we mean he puts on pants like a big boy.
He almost looks like a person when he comes back out. With the skirt in hand. ]
no subject
Once he's back out, though, she snatches the skirt from him... then quietly appraises him.]
Hmm... not bad. How do you like it?
no subject
He looks down at his outfit, then up to Yukari, searching for some sense of approval. She picked it out so she must like it, right? ]
It's not pink. [ He sounds almost dejected. But seriously... ] It's comfy.
no subject
And raises an eyebrow at him.] Don't wanna pull you too far out of your comfort zone. They have that other shirt... [She motions back at the dressing room.] In pink you want me to grab it?
... Like I said, maybe I could figure out a way to wear blue.
[Pause.] Anything else besides 'it's comfy'?
no subject
To her question, though, he answers with one of his own, ]
Do you like it?
no subject
For now.
... And yet...] We'll put that on the 'maybe' pile, then. There should be some more, if you wanna. I got a couple more to try, myself. [Hands behind her back, and she motions toward the dressing room with her chin.]
no subject
[ He's easy to please, or is he trying to please by being easy? Maybe a little of both.
Ah, Yukari, if he were a lesser man he'd take that as an invitation to join you. Or rather, if he didn't know Yukari so well than to take it that way. Alas. He nods. ]
What about the skirt I wore?
no subject
... So... I'll take it back, and you can keep wearing pants.
[Now excuse her while she takes her stuff into the changing room.]
