Destroy Bad Heroism

[ Anyone looking into the black market sale of stolen gifts may very well find their investigation interrupted by the sound of laughter from above. ]

[ If they should look up, who could it possibly be but the Savior of Orleans Weird Bird Cutting Man Tsubame Gaeshi Person? But of course, it's not that SAMURAI, for when prompted for a name by the Zeroes at hand, he so answers: ]

My name is Island Mask, and even if God and Buddha may forgive you, you won't find me so accommodating!

[ What's a "Buddha?" The question lingers in the air among those who have never encountered that particular religion, but there's little time to consider it as Island Mask leaps from the rooftop and lands on top of a table filled with stolen gifts, sending them scattering in every direction! ]

But let it never be said that I'm not a fair man! I'll give you all up to the count of three to prepare yourselves!

REGEND OF THE SAMURAI

Mmm, I could definitely get used to this land. Nature in every direction, surrounded by beautiful women, and a penchant for battle.

[ "Before we fight, let us make merry in the name of Gladia!" So the queen had declared, but really, for certain parts of the population, is there a difference? Not for Sasaki Kojirou Island Mask, who has decided that he couldn't possibly wait until the games begin proper and has joined every single minor tournament and brawl he could find.

And so he stands atop a crowd of crumpled bodies, sword over his shoulder, obviously rather pleased with himself despite the mask covering most of his features. ]

That hero could be closer than you expect. But then again, so could the dangerous men.

[ Really quite close, in fact. Kojirou Island Mask helps Hakuno up, keeping a hold of her hand. ]

Let us be off, then. You may wish to take your goblet with you, we might not be back for a while.

[Implying she isn't already a certain kind of thirsty.

Still, she obligingly picks the cup back up before following after him.]

[ The deepest of thirsts, like the Sahara desert. If Hakuno could see his eyes through the mask, he might even be winking, but that's hardly elegant. ]

It will be quite the walk.

[ And then he clarifies himself, leading Hakuno by the hand. But really, he does mean that kind of thirst too. ]

[Which, fair, she is. But teasing aside, her hand fits comfortably in his, and a bit more heat crawls over her cheeks the farther they get from the rest of the crowd.]

[ What would Moon Cell festivals even be like? Probably involve a lot of murder and yanderes. They're silly, let's forget about them. ]

But there are things that can only be accomplished in the quiet. I've never been in a tropical paradise myself, so shall we?

Flowers, and birds, and all manner of critters, I'm sure. When it comes to the beauty of nature, it's best not to look for any one thing, lest we lose the forest for the trees.

[ There will be many things to see, he's sure, and he'll make sure he takes in all of them. And possibly beats up some of them, who even knows? ]

But more than that, I already have a flower in hand, and now I simply wish to walk with it, if she'll let me?

[ I hope you like walking, Hakuno, because there's a lot of walking to be done. A lot of it might even be in total silence, because Island Mask is perfectly happy taking in the sights. ]

Hakuno was spawned in the Moon Cell. She's spent a solid 60 to 80% of her life walking around investigating terrain. She can totally take a mild little hike.]

I shall, but it's as much an exploration for me as it is for you.

[ So don't blame him if they get lost. They won't because he has decent survivalist skills and knows the direction they're going in, but still. ]

I expect there won't be many monsters however, unless we venture deep into the forests.

[ He almost seems disappointed by that, but a peaceful walk is fine too. ]

There will always be another monster another day, in this world.

[Or maybe she's just being cavalier, because the Moon Cell's enemy programs respawned more or less infinitely after you beat them. It was a great way to farm for cash, whenever Kotomine put the screws (and a few extra zeroes) on.]

It's a blessing, for people like me.

I've battled many creatures, and even some you might call heroes. I wonder if you would find them interesting however?

Some of them might even have names worth repeating, but many warriors prefer to keep their secrets so I'll have to honour that. What I can speak of however, is dragons. Those, I've slain many.
