I have suffered plenty. I am suffering right now having to lead this task with someone uncooperative and having so many ghosts yell and moan unpleasantly in my ear.

[ Just because they have suffered is no reason to make others suffer with them. He's of the belief that vengeance solves very little and is only a fervent waste of time, but he'd also like to help. He just prefers to be asked more civilly, that's all.

He turns to one of the apparitions and makes a calming gesture with his arms as it starts to scream at him out of fury. Okay, he sees they were not pleased with his complaining, and now, his ears definitely ache. On top of that, the thing before him is quite disgusting to look at, and his food is not sitting all calm and well in the pit of his stomach. ]

There... there. No need to yell so much! I'm here to help as well. Don't mind the lady, either. She's just not as good at handling diplomatic relations as I am.

[ Its response is more garbled screaming that makes him wince and take a step back. Really now... did he say something wrong? He was only trying to make peace here. ]

[ Surprisingly, he does grow quiet to listen in on the interaction since his own diplomacy is getting them nowhere with the ghosts -a fact that does pain him to many lengths. He thought he was being polite! Rather than risk upsetting them further and inspiring more noise from them, he's curious what her methods are to try and placate them.

Do they really just want sympathy? Surely, they'd much rather find rest in the afterlife, but he's not exactly sure how to give them the send-off they desire. ]

How exactly do you plan on setting them free? Clearly, if it were that easy, they would have gone to the afterlife already.

[ Instead of continuing to suffer here as they are. He wonders if they aren't cursed somehow... ]

Ask them who exactly is responsible and if they can point us to where they are?
