[Nobunaga's always been a big fan of guns. During her time, rifles had only begun to make their way onto the battlefield, but she'd been completely enamored by them from the moment she held one and saw it in action. The weight of it in her hands, the feel of the weapon and the sensation she got when she fired one. Her use of rifles had even carried over into her existence as a heroic spirit, having had three thousand of them at once. A legion of portable, flying guns she could call on at will to gun down her opponents...
Naturally, being here meant being without them. For a while it really bummed her out.
But today is the day she's reunited with her one true love: the gun. She shows up for the job and is handed an assault rifle, and for a moment she's stood in awe of the fact she's even got it. She twists the gun in her hands every so often, inspecting it up close, just...running her hands over it slowly sometimes.........]
Incredible...it's not quite a gatling gun, but it's a step up from my own arsenal to be sure...
[You should only sound so fond of something when you're talking about another human being.]
b)
[When it comes to setting up some targets for practice, it's no exaggeration to say she's a natural. Her first few attempts are for practice; she has to get used to the weapon and adjust to how different such a fast, powerful weapon is, compared to her own that simply fired once. But the rate at which she adjusts is astounding really; she's likely one of the first to become accustomed to it (barring, of course, people with experience firing them already) and in no time at all she's confident in her ability. She's ready to shoot some zombies.]
Hah, what a beautiful weapon...warfare really has come a long way.
[The list of things she shouldn't sound particularly fond saying increases.
That being said, she may be a good person to ask if you're looking for pointers.]
c)
[With the actual hunt underway, Nobunaga seems to be in high spirits. She's got a dedicated ammo pouch hanging hanging at her waist and her rifle firmly held in her hands the whole time.]
Well? Excited?
[Yeah, that's to you. What's not to love, right?]
c!!!
It's time.
But first--]
I am, this will be out first truly active job together, no?
no subject
[What better family bonding can there be than shooting the shit.
Literally.]
Are you familiar with firearms, Sen...?
[Like, personally..........]
no subject
[HOW EXCITING! And she puffs up proudly. Humbly, but proudly.]
I quite like them! I'm hoping we can get a few today if we do well on this job.
[Let them collect firearms together...]
no subject
[She gives the rifle a little shake to indicate what she means. She's happy to have the gun itself, but.....
They were really cool rifles.]
More would certainly be better.
no subject
[Though as a servant, that should be easy, right? She still doesn't know how their power works. Do they have hammerspace, she wonders...]
If we keep doing this job, do you think we can gather that many rifles...?

But he was curious and he wanted something else to do besides going ghost hunting, which he will do later in the month.
And the lady beside him seems smitten by the peculiar weapon, even if Chloe has no idea what a "gatling gun" might be. ]
You seem to be familiar with this form of weapon since before, my lady. Have you wielded them a lot?
no subject
But this...[She holds the gun up a little higher, knocking on the magazine with her finger.]...not only is it able to hold quite a bit of ammunition, reloading is a simple case of replacing the magazine. You don't need to carry gunpowder with you or bother replacing shots individually...technology certainly has come a long way.
[She nods to herself, but removes one hand from the rifle to give him a casual pointing at.]
Still, if you insist on being formal, I won't take any of this "my lady" nonsense. I haven't been a lady a single day my whole life.
[Not...literally, but moreso that she was a soldier at a young age and the head of her own army by 15. So she's never been called that outside of Caissa.]
If you want to address me properly however, I won't say no to being called "My lord".
no subject
He is a little surprised at being told to call her "My lord" instead but he has been raised as a man despite being born a woman (which was a secret he was terrified that people might find out even though there seemed to be a fair amount of nice people in this place) so it was not hard for him to accept that request. ]
As you wish, My lord. [ He wonders how come that is, but they have only just met so asking could be considered rude. ] Technology is an amazing thing, we have nothing like rifles at all where I'm from, you must come from quite the interesting place, to have them.
no subject
However, if you're unusued to this level of technology, I suppose it must seem incredible...do you still use swords and bows, or something?
[or magic.
But she'll get to that...later.]

[ Nearly his whole life his country has been at war with itself, and it only recently (in his mind) ended. Although in the people's eyes, it was over six hundred years ago. ]
We do, yes. A friend of mine is a well-known archer while most of my other closest friend prefer the sword. I'm proficient in various weapons myself but do prefer the whip or the axe, alongside the sword.

to someone like rin, who's never held a gun in her life (even if one of her favorite pastimes used to be shaping her hand into a gun), nobunaga's learning curve is unexpectedly swift. it's almost like how archer would be.
if rin had ever seen him with an assault rifle, that is.]
You're really into this, aren't you? [the gun-love earns only a slightly raised eyebrow, considering. people... love their weapons...
like, some overgrown idiots love swords, for example. rin's standing there carrying her own assault rifle in both arms, though awkwardly.]
I wonder if I should be worried...
no subject
[Really, she has a gunsword which is way cooler, but she was the person who popularised the widespread use of rifles during the early years of their introduction to Japan. It goes without saying she'd be fascinated by straight upgrades to those weapons rather than the more fantasy styled arms they're provided with.
As for the comment about being worried, well...she just offers Rin a big smile.]
Fufufu...but could it be you're slacking, girl? [That's what she meant, right? Right.] It's fine, you know. The great Demon King herself stands before you, ready and willing to offer guidance. Really, it's no trouble. I insist!
a)
They are not as powerful as a grenade launcher, however. [ She gives Nobunaga a smile. ] I am glad to see you were not harmed... or at least I hope not?
[ It's been a short while now, after all. Sonia looks pretty much the same as the last time they talked, only... now armed with an AK-69 as well.
Bad idea tbh. She can use it ... but. There may be side effects to that. ]
no subject
[....yeah she's just being needlessly dramatic. With that out of the way she completely moves on from her despair within the blink of an eye, instead slinging her gun over her shoulder with one hand, raising the other in front of her...a thumbs up maybe?]
Hah! Of course, I'm-[No, up goes the index finger. She's wearing one of those infection suppressing rings.]-well, I could be better. But I've been through far worse; this body of mine can endure any hardship.
How did you fare, then?
no subject
Though... I see. I was not aware you were infected too. How have you been coping? I do hope that you have not been suffering too much.
[ Sonia holds up her own hand, no ring present. ]
I am perfectly fine. Rearing to go!
[ Raring... ]
no subject
[But now she's just imagining firing off her bishop concoctions as ammo..........
That'd sure be effective.
Although it'd need some work to actually function, considering she tried this with cannons before and everything exploded.]
Still, you needn't concern yourself. I am, as they say, a tough old gal.
[or something like that]
We should focus on what's really important: do you need help with your weapon?
[Sonia doesn't seem like the gun wielding type..........how little nobu knows]
no subject
I am glad to hear that you will be alright, however. Hopefully a cure will be made soon.
[ But... um? Her head cants to the side at the question. ]
It is a little smaller than I am used to, but I do not need any help with it?
[ how little nobu knows ]

...the sensation of holding a rifle in one's hands, the weight of it seeming to galvanize the arms with an electric current.
So this is the feel of a gun.
Hailing from a world not yet one thousand years old, the King is still unused to such weaponry, the distinct sound of gunfire, for the battle he'd done upon the vast continent of Menoris had consisted of magic and the use of relics alone.
But this is the future, the marker of something which he'd struggled toward now in his hands, even if...! His form is rather poor. He may need some correction, likely from the owner of that voice: a Hero who he's met once before. ]
A gatling gun? [ Lofting a silvered brow high, he looks to her with unabashed intrigue. ] I've never heard of such a thing in my time, much less...
[ A raise of the rifle, the gesture almost innocent. ]
...an AK-69.
no subject
[In very, very simple terms. They function for different purposes on the battlefield, but she'll neglect to get into that since he isn't familiar with guns to begin with.]
It's far larger and much heavier. In fact, they see much more use mounted to compensate for the weight issue; that way you can just focus on aiming and shooting. But the firepower it produces is absolutely astonishing...compared to these rifles, which operate better in controlled bursts, a gatling gun spews hundreds of bullets per minute! I've always wanted to own one...
[Shield your innocent fairytale ears, Sion...granted, magic is equally as bad. The ring she's forced to wear to suppress the infection running rampant amongst the hero population is proof enough of that.
Though if she cared at all for magic, she'd likely fawn over that too.]

[ she seriously wondered what nobunaga's wife thought of her love of guns... it was a real question that had intrigued her from the moment they had received the guns from the mafia. ]
no subject
[She can't see the connection between the task at hand and that question, so it seems like a total non sequitur.]
Well, yes. I had three wives. Why?

[ She knew Kiritsugu sometimes did, but he stopped after she told him it made her uncomfortable. The guns were relegated to the night stand. ]
