Training: The Gammon edition

Who: Caren and you!
When: Gladia 10th (aka August 10th)
Where: Kickdton, Gammon
What: Caren organized a mass training session. This can only go well.
Rating: PG-13 for possible language and certainly violence. Train on!

It's not a difficult place to find, considering the directions: all heroes had to do was find Kickin' Kiwi park, and head straight for the river. There would be all sorts of helpful signs which hero worshippers may have helped set up. Watch out for the kiwi birds though, they're everywhere! In the distance, there's the Royal Foccer Fellowship Stadium. So in case one wishes to go watch some foccer practice instead, that's always an option.

But that's not what you heroes are here for, is it? You're here in the middle of a truly beautiful park for some training! There's a notice (and possibly a fan or two hovering around) stuck to a clean pile of rocks, saying for trainnees must tie a ribbon (which are in buckets, and also somehow stuck to the rocks?) to their arm, corresponding to the training they wish to take. The categories are as follow:

Healing (BLUE) Weapons (RED) Magic (PURPLE) Endurance (GREEN) Sparring (ORANGE)

Trainers are instructed to take the armbands (also found in the buckets!) of the corresponding colours of their course so not to confuse the students. However, if it turns out you are a terrible trainer, Caren will happily take away your armband and give you your own special lesson. (What that lesson is, no one wants to find out).

Don't forget to bring your heroic weapons, because training weapons are not provided. Though maybe you'll get lucky, and someone will want to teach hand to hand combat!

It's also highlighted in BOLD RED LETTERS THAT KILLING IS FORBIDDEN. Try to break this rule, and Caren will break you. Slowly.

Have your ribbon on? It's time to start that training montage!

((OOC: EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Make friends, learn a few things, and have fun!

Also please incidate in your top level if you are a trainee or a trainer!

eg The Doctor | Trainer -Magic
Donna Noble | Trainee - EVERYTHING PLEASE
Jack Harkness | Trainer - Endurance + trainee -magic))

[ Whatever the usual training clothes were for others, Regina would pick her own. It wasn't customary for druids to be in combat, yet it was something that she found herself often forced into. The robes she wore were shorter than normal, they rode up to her knees, allowing her to move freely in. Usually, she avoided combat, but much like learning a foreign language and culture to better understand her surrounds before, she had no choice. To her, the intoner was younger than she appeared to be.

Children and teenagers learned combat, that wasn't that of a sight. That weapon, perhaps, looked too big for someone that size. At least, with a normal human, using it would dislocate a shoulder. Interesting. She knew there were humans and nonhumans in this world from the interactions she had. All of it was strange to her, after coming from a world where humans and nonhumans were so pitted against each other, Regina was still adjusting to adorning her white hair and eyes in this world.

Still, now that One has her attention and after speaking to her before, she's drawn to her and that weapon. It's not often that curiosity gets the better of her. She circles around her, coming up to her side, almost looming over her with her height. Tapping her spear against her shoulder, she does have to ask- ]

Aren't you a little young for this?

[ Obviously, she wasn't. She wanted a reaction, she wanted to see what she would say. Certainly, if she was able to lift that weapon, it was a sign she could hold her own. ]

[ Being interacted with so soon was entirely unexpected. More often than not One had only come into contact with others when such contact was needed. Even when she fought along side her brother, One sought to keep conversations to a minimum, speaking only when she needed to. The Intoner paused in her step, watching the taller, with a slightly narrowed gaze. She waited a moment, carefully crafting her response.

She looked young, didn't she? Somewhat close to a child of only 14 years or so? One was unsure, hadn't really pondered her appearance. It meant little to her how she looked compared to her sisters or the known populace. Not when she had had a world to save. To save from cruel lords, her insane sister, and the Flower.

Briefly, her fingers drifted to rest over the resting place of the parasite, where her heart would have been had she not been what she was. After a moment she looked back up, up, up into the crimson gaze of the other. ]

Age holds little bearing on a persons abilities in a world like this.

That has yet to be seen, doesn't it? Abilities and skills are gained with experience.

[In addition to whatever age that she appeared to be, the height didn't help any. It was precious to her, it reminded her of the girls that lived in the forest in which Regina shared with other witches and druids. Those girls took up swords and other arms to defend their lands. Despite the slight arrogance possesses, Regina can't bring herself to be too harsh to girls.

Still, she was curious as to how someone so slight could hold such a massive weapon. A large and what she assumed was a blunt weapon against a long-range, thin weapon. Regardless, Regina's disposition was gentle but playful. ]

It's a curious weapon. I am wondering how you haven't had anything happened to your arms, yet.

My sisters and I...

[ She paused, considering her next words with care. They were created, born with enough knowledge to give them mastery of multitudes of weapons. Whatever they picked up, they somehow knew how to handle. Knowledge gained somehow through Zero, through the Flower.

But to confess such would reveal too much. Few here knew anything about the Intoner, and she preferred it that way. The one who had known the most was gone, dead so far as she knew.

Jekyll.

She almost, almost missed him. ]

My sisters and I had many years to learn to wield our respected weapons. This one is close enough to the one I left behind.

[ Part of her wondered what sort of parent would allow a child to train so young, if she was still judging One by what she was assuming to be barely fifteen years old, at the most. Thinking back to it now, she was sure her mother, in her maddened state from trauma, would have tried to force her to pick up a weapon even younger. Her mother meant well, just as any other parent in the climate that was her time.

Grim-faced, Regina could only regard One with a silence and a neutral gaze. Buried behind that lack of expression, she found herself wanting to go against what her mother's instilled paranoia. ]

Is that so.

[ She starts to pace around One. ]

Then if I ask you for a demonstration, you shouldn't have a problem with that, no?
