Not that he's particularly susceptible to them - only on dogs, not humans - but there's something kind of pathetic about this whole scene: the still smoking stove behind them, the stain spreading across his shirt, the cringing man in front of him. It's not really a scene he ever wants repeated, which really only leaves him one course of action.

Also, how the heck does anyone burn soup?? There's so much liquid! Carefully, Shinjiro sidles back towards the covered pot, lifting up the board on top to get a gently whiff of what's inside - and then promptly scrunches up his face in disgust. ]
