[ SLEEPING BEAUTY AWAKES...
Feeling kinda shitty. Yoon has no idea when he ended up in his bed or how long he's slept, but he feels stiff and groggy and still-drained even as he drags himself out from under the covers. The last things he remembers are foggy. Was he sick? Did he train too hard and pass out from mana exhaustion?
Eventually, Yoon gets up and manages to get dressed -- casual pants, a loose tunic and scarf -- and wanders slowly over toward the Queen hall where his friends live to see if anyone is around.
Maybe he comes knocking on the door, or maybe he runs into someone before he even gets there?? It is a mystery. ]
June 3 | Closed to Sion:
[ Just because he somehow managed to pass out for a couple of weeks for no reason (creepy?!) is no reason to slack off on his training. In fact, now Yoon feels like he has even more catching up to do. He'd called Sion shortly after waking up to apologize for being unable to keep up with his training, and on Sion's insistence that Yoon get some good rest first, they'd arranged for a meeting a few days later.
Thus far, they've been at it for a while already, practicing in an open clearing outside of the capital, on the outskirts of the scattered villages that border it. The weather is pleasant today, sunny without being too hot, and the meadow is in bloom, painted with wildflowers.
Yoon kneels in the grass, notebook in his lap awaiting instruction. Sion said they might start on some new concepts today if he's ready. ]

[ He'd just been asking out of nowhere, not even expecting an answer, so this is good news!! Yoon looks slightly more energized by the prospect of answers. ]

Regrettably, no one actually knows much. I have my theories, but that is all they are. [ So they can only be taken with a grain of salt. ] First and most common theory, sleep comas could possibly occur from extreme cases of mana exhaustion.
[ Knowing how running out of mana causes people to collapse, that theory is commonly accepted among Heroes and locals alike. ]
I believe that given the nature of this world, it could be caused by anything. For instance, it is possible that someone might be able to inflict it with a magical potion or spell; it is also possible that might be caused by mana disturbances to one's body.

[ He's not exactly strong. Or anything. He's very handsome, so he had posited the theory earlier that maybe that had attracted some jealous person's wrath! But maybe that wasn't it, after all (shockingly). ]
When you put it that way, though, mana exhaustion would make sense. [ Despite the embarrassment of considering he'd trained way too hard and gotten ahead of himself, and this whole mess is his own fault, Yoon does feel easier having answers. Mana exhaustion makes sense, and means no one is out to get him, so he'll gravitate toward that explanation until proven otherwise.
His shoulders relax, and he offers a vaguely sheepish smile. ]
Even if they're only theories, that helps. Sometimes it feels like forever since I arrived here, but really, I guess it's not that long. I don't know much about the way this world works. It's very different from what I'm used to.
Having some insight from someone who's been here longer is useful. Thanks.

[ They have to remember that in this world, they are "Heroes." Whether they acknowledge it or not, the fact remains that they're people from another world... Because of that, their mana is considered highly valuable. There are still a lot of mysteries regarding them, which is why Blanc couldn't tell them much at all... Their own existence is an enigma, easily seen as a threat by Noir or skeptic locals.
Setsuna nods to acknowledge Yoon's gratitude, glad that he could help in any way he could. Even if it's not much... He understands wanting to know as much as possible. He's like that too, which is why he always has questions within him. To this moment, he still carries them... ]
You have to be careful at all times. I do not wish to alarm you, but there had been cases in the past where Heroes were kidnapped by those who desire our mana. We managed however, so everyone thankfully made it back safely.

They are Blanc's hope, supposedly. For all the people who seem to blindly revere them and want to shower them with gifts and praise, there is sure at least an equal number of people who feel exactly the opposite. They're fighting a war here, after all-- whether or not it's one any of them signed up for. And they aren't just soldiers: they're something new and little understood, potentially a weapon to be harnessed. He catches on quickly, and he understands.

Once the drink is finished off, Setsuna walks forward and then extends a hand. He settles it atop Yoon's head, patting him only once very carefully before removing his hand. Part of him wonders why such a young boy is reacting to calmly to something like this, but part of him may have an idea of why as well. It's saddening, that's why he doesn't want to assume such a thing to someone so young. He hopes that it isn't the case...
Setsuna's eyes settle on the younger Hero quietly, many unsaid words flowing through them. ]
Yes. And I will make sure that you and the others will remain so.
[ That everyone, including Yoon, will remain protected. ]

Setsuna will protect them without question, without allowing himself to fail. He carefully observes Yoon's shy expression, nodding once words of thanks are given to him. ]
