[open] Cow.

Who: Gaius and various and assorted people.
When: 5/11
Where: Gresser
What: Cows
Rating: S for stupid, probably with some light curses and terrible metaphors.

RANDOM ENCOUNTER:

[And that was when Gaius turned to his companion(s), warming to the story.] So the second ham was tossed into the air and the juggler reached for the torc-

[And that was when a small herd of goats ran past them.

...

There's probably something chasing the distressed goats, huh. (Hint: it's probably a bear.)]

COW:

["Moo," said the cow, distressed. There was three of them, tired, wary, staring at the heroes who likely stared back at them. Gaius stared, at least, though who knows...maybe his companion had a natural instinct for tending to cows and was running to care for them. He hesitated.] What are we getting for this, again?

OBLIGATORY MISSION AFTERMATH:

[Because they are and he looks tired and vaguely done right now. He is going to order a sundae with some fruit he never heard of because he can.]

[Hux hasn't really come to Gresser for the job. This is a stupid job, and he refuses to do it. It is beneath him. That hasn't stopped him from tagging along, however, to observe the town. Knowing the layout of your surroundings is essential, and Hux has taken to start keeping maps of everywhere he goes, just in case he should have need of it. He's currently sketching in some buildings in the town with a precise hand in a leather-bound book while Gaius babbles. Hux isn't really listening; this sort of thing annoys him immensely. But it helps keep Gaius's trust in him, which could be most useful in the future.

Of course, he's just drawing the edge of a delicate outline when the herd of goats run past. He jolts with surprise, sucking in a breath, the pencil scraping against the paper and going straight through the map.]

What the--[his head turns to follow their retreat, scowling, not really looking yet at what's following them]...that was rather unexpected.

[...an odd question, and a foreboding one. Hux's attention jerks away from the goats, back to Gaius, who is pulling out that large...contraption he's had strapped to his side. It looks like a...a fan?

Why does he have a fan.

Either way, it's enough to make Hux reach for his blaster with one hand while closing his book with the other.]

Why do you ask?
