[open] lookin' for the love getaway.
Who: Gilgamesh and everyone visiting Heaven's Feel!
When: 5/1—5/8
Where: Caissa, Heaven's Feel storefront
What: The grand opening of Heaven's Feel, Caissa's premier matchmaking service, has arrived! Stop by for food, drinks, and some friendly fun with your fellow Heroes! ...or maybe even pick up a date, who knows.
Rating: General audiences, except for Gil's threads because he was pretty much making out with everyone. Tread carefully.
Heaven's Feel

[Maybe you've heard, or maybe you haven't, but there's a new business in town. It's plastered everywhere, posted on the side of every building and shouted from the end of every street corner in Caissa. Heaven's Feel, Heaven's Feel, come fly with the angels at Heaven's Feel! Really, who writes something so cheesy? The owner must be a real piece of work, you think, yet there's something enticing about the sound of it...
If you do decide to stop by within the first week of May, you'll find a massive celebration awaiting you: the celebration of opening day! Eager workers wave down anyone who gets close, with offers of wine tasting, sweet treats, and even speed dating. The store's interior bustles with activity as visitors fill out cute little survey cards in hopes of a hook-up. The owner in question can be found mingling in the crowd, bartending, and drawing charcoal caricatures of couples for a nominal fee.
Overall, the atmosphere is one of excitement. Hop right in! There's plenty of room for lounging on the cushy furniture, and plenty of time to find your own hottie.
...or perfectly platonic friend. Look, we're not judging or anything.]

[ But isn't she just like Korra?? Korra was constantly losing the favour of the people around her for her decisions, but she stuck to them because she believed they were for the best.
It's not like Bolin's unaware that Kuvira can drive a hard bargain, he's seen the way she callously shuts out people that don't agree to her terms, and it troubles him. It troubles him a lot. But Kuvira's the best force in the Earth Kingdom right now, no one quells discord and delivers resources like she does. ]
It's not like I see where Opal - that's my girlfriend - is coming from... [ He sighs something frustrated. ] But it's hard to talk to her when she gets angry. And we hardly even see each other anymore.
[ He rubs the back of his neck. ]
Maybe whenever we get back to where we came from things will have calmed down...

[Again, Gilgamesh doesn't try to unnerve him. Not on purpose. He's speaking from a position of authority, as one who knows what consequences great power can bring about. Harsh individuals had harsh ways of dealing with things, and if this other person was levelheaded enough to raise concerns, then...
Really, what a complicated situation. Bolin may have accidentally gained the upperhand here, as Gilgamesh clearly wasn't prepared for any inquiries on how to handle potential political instability. It has him actually thinking, which he wasn't prepared to do, either.]
I believe it would be best to stay on guard, regardless of what happens. As is often said, "Pray for the best, but expect the worst."
[Though privately Gilgamesh places no stake in prayer at all. Gods were useless at times like these.]
no subject
Prepare for the worst. What would that even be?
A break up, probably.
If things went sour between Kuvira and Zaofu, he's sure that she would. There's nothing that Opal values more than family - but if it came to that, Bolin's not sure he'd side with Kuvira anyway.
He sighs again and decides to focus on Gilgamesh instead. ]
I guess you're like a relationship expert, huh?
no subject
You might consider me more of a "people" expert. I watch over humans, so I know their mannerisms well.
[The red eyes are a dead giveaway to a being that's more ancient than initially suspected. They focus on Bolin, but out of interest rather than aggression.]
You may introduce yourself to me now.
[Go on, Bolin. Knock this out of the park and maybe he'll shower you with a few more snacks.]

[ And Vietnam now, though he hadn't known she was working here until he'd arrived. She certainly looked like she was made for business at least, the earthbender is pretty impressed by the different air around her now in comparison to when he'd met her on the beach. But that had been a trainwreck of an encounter for all parties involved.
But for now, he's interested in Gilgamesh. ]
You're uh, the King of Heroes, right?
[ Since Gilgamesh hadn't actually mentioned his name in the video, and Bolin doesn't want to risk mispronouncing it based on the snippets he's heard from other patrons. ]
no subject
Ah, yes! You are acquainted with my head chef, I see. He's a very special sort of fellow, so he certainly deserves your support.
[Gilgamesh claps his hands together, and one of his staff comes scurrying over with a plate full of food. It's offered to Bolin as if on a golden platter, and Gilgamesh seems to be encouraging to eat this time. He's extending hospitality in exchange for patching up his shaky first impression.]
Indeed! I am the one called Gilgamesh. I was a great Hero long before I arrived in this world; you might say I'm better off than most.
[As for not bringing any business, Gilgamesh waves it off.]
This is a celebration, and all are invited. You show me respect, and therefore I acknowledge you as welcome.
no subject
Whoa, I guess that's why you're doing so well here?
[ Meanwhile Bolin struggles to master the most basic of magic spells. The fact that he's been promoted to a Queen is certainly going to be a disaster.
And well, if Gilgamesh is offering, Bolin will happily take another pastry, opting for some savoury this time. ]
Well, I definitely think you're going to do well with this place.
[ Who wouldn't want a little romance in their life? ]
no subject
You should know, Bolin, that I am an extraordinarily lucky King. So fortune will always smile upon me, wherever I go.
[Both true and untrue, given he'd also almost died multiple times during his lucky adventure. But details, details.]
If you stand in my shadow, perhaps you can catch a bit of magnificent light for yourself! Ahahahaha!
no subject
Even if it is a lot of confidence. ]
Stand in your shadow? [ He furrows his brows. ] What is that? Like an apprentice or like paparazzi?
no subject
I do not take apprentices often, but I could. If they were to demonstrate sufficient spirit.
no subject
[ Though Bolin lacks the channeled ambition that his peers have, he's always been exceedingly flexible and willing to try nearly anything, enjoying all manner of trades and experiences without giving a thought to embarrassment.
That said, he's still not entirely sure what Gilgamesh is suggestion, though he is curious. ]
But an apprentice of what? I'm actually not that good at relationship stuff.
[ Referring to Gilgamesh's business. ]
no subject
[Truth be told, much of Gilgamesh's major decisions were made on a whim, or simply because he felt like it. His own rule of Uruk had been privy to much the same volatility, with severe judgments doled out at the drop a hat. Thankfully, Bolin has not incurred his wrath, so this consideration is given for good reasons rather than bad.]
Have you, by chance, achieved a higher rank as of late? I have been branded a Queen, so if you find yourself in similar straits, I may be able to assist.
[May. Gilgamesh tended not to do much of anything for free, even when in higher spirits.]
no subject
[ He's definitely not the type to stand back and focus on incantations. A melee rank would've been better suited, he thinks. ]
no subject
[Wait? Start what? What is going on here, who agreed to this, why is there suddenly an arm around his shoulders, etc.]
no subject
Awesome! It's going to be great! Thanks for taking me into your care.
no subject
[...whelp.]
no subject
I don't really know what that means. [ He offers, both sincere and serene before his demeanour changes to something more enthusiastic. ] But okay! Sounds fun!
no subject
[Intense glowering.]
Should you fail, there will be consequences. Severe ones.
no subject
Best to just go along. There's no stopping momentum like that. ]
Sure.
[ Rather placid agreement, punctuated by a fistpump to show his own dedication. ]
