closed to setsuna;
For the most part, he lets himself be swept along by the crowd, visiting booths at random and spectating each performance. Of note is how he refuses all food and drink, citing health reasons - again, not false, but it gave a different impression. All for the sake of appearances, he has learned. Some things are still best kept secret.
His footfalls pause before a performer singing traditional Ma Jiang folk songs while strumming a string instrument - music will always catch his attention, and this is no exception. About half a minute into her song, he begins to sing as well; first in one voice, then in triads and full harmonics as he familiarizes himself with its key. Soon enough, there is what appears to be a full five-man choir accompanying the songstress, but a cursory glance would only reveal one man actually singing.
He's careful not to drown her out, merely providing background accompaniment. She continues playing despite the surprise in her eyes. ]

As he walks along the streets, he doesn't really know where to aim his eyes. There's always something new at every stall, at every corner. Time to time he clumsily interacts with the mechanical lions, unsure of how to handle them. The mechanical lions nuzzle at him at least once before running off again. He turns his head, wondering what exactly is the meaning of the lions... There are many symbolism floating around the festival, yet he knows little of them.
Eventually, he makes a stop when he notices the larger audience. They seem to be pooling at the current performance... The lovely music causes him to stay and listen as well, looking over the involved musicians out of curiosity. It's then that he realizes that one of them is a fellow Hero. He's quickly as surprised as the rest of the audience, wondering how he is able to do that... A vocal trick? Or is it magic again? ]

You have a beautiful spirit, which blooms through song. Please, continue to let you gift flower.
[ His words are spoken calmly and enunciated clearly, voice having returned to a singular form. The songstress becomes a little flustered at his compliment, but thanks him anyway. Then, she begins to pack up, and he steps away to give her enough space.
The crowd is dispersing now that the performance has ended. If Setsuna wishes to speak to him, now would be the time. If not, he might initiate conversation after a few more minutes - observing his surroundings again, his attention drawn to the youth. ]

... Good evening.
[ With a talent like that, Setsuna considers the possible professions that this mysterious person might have had from home. A musician or a singer, perhaps... ]
May I ask how you were able to perform in that manner? It was... I have never encountered anything quite like it.
no subject
Good evening to you as well. [ A fellow Hero, then, someone in the same predicament of displacement. ] I have the skill of speaking in many voices.
[ He supposes his song is enough as proof, so he keeps to using a singular one for now. ]
My apologies if I startled you. I understand this is not something most humans can do.
no subject
I see.
[ There's a light shake of his head at the latter statement. ]
Ah, no... Rather, it is intriguing.
no subject
The songstress has very good harmonics. Ah, I was not sure if it was impolite to join in.
[ But he is not one to forget manners, so he continues: ]
You are one of the Heroes, I take it? May I have your name?
no subject
Yes.
[ Setsuna is still wearing the Hero uniform right now, so that confirms it further. He didn't feel the need to purchase additional clothes yet, when he's more focused on saving what little colle he has right now. ]
Setsuna F. Seiei... And, you are?
no subject
I am Lord Light. A pleasure.
[ He inclines his head as greeting, flowing white hair returning to its exact same position as before once he straightens up again. ]
no subject
[ Setsuna quietly repeats it, memorizing the name. ... He wonders if the "Lord" refers to title or rank, if that's his actual name. There's only one way to find out. ]
How do you wish to be addressed?
no subject
[ He says 'title', and not 'name'. ]
If you find it inappropriate to use, you may nickname me.
[ Lapis called him 'Lordie' once, after all. ]
no subject
No, rather... It is fine. Are you a noble?
[ With those elegant mannerisms, Setsuna wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. ]
no subject
For a loose definition of it, yes. But you need not be formal to me, here my title holds little significance.
[ It's not a lie. ]
no subject
I see. Lord Light... I appreciate the time you spared.
[ Anyway, if the man has any plans, Setsuna didn't want to keep his attention for long. He only wanted to satisfy his curiosity from earlier and it's been fulfilled. So he'll be on his way, unless offered more time together. ]
no subject
Are you occupied? If not, may I join you for a while?
no subject
I am merely... hoping to find anything useful.
[ Information, supplies... Anything that will help him adjust to this world. He's sure that in such a lively gathering, something of worth could possibly turn up. Even if he has to purchase it. ]
no subject
[ He idly wonders if there is a particular thing Setsuna has in mind. Perhaps it would tell him about the youth's perceptions. ]
I can assist, if you prefer.
i'm sorry, i lost my icon keywords so the earlier tags are ruined ;;
Yes... I have heard there are discounts at particular stores. I wish to find them.
its ok _(:3/
What do you seek to purchase?
no subject
I have not decided... But it would be preferable to secure supplies that I consider useful, including food items. I am wary of the quality of our cafeteria food...
no subject
I have seen what it can do to unsuspecting humans. [ He looks slightly more concerned at this point. ] Finding an alternative is a prudent thing.
[ But he doesn't eat, so he didn't seek them out. ]
no subject
I will do what I can.
[ With that, Setsuna turns to begin leading the way. He heads down to the area where the shops are, hoping to see those that offer affordable food. It doesn't take long for that to happen thanks to the festival, where most items are priced well in spirit of the celebrations.
Setsuna is particularly drawn to the sight of a bakery also holding a sale... He seems to perk at seeing it, so he hurries on before the crowd beats him to the remaining items. ]
no subject
You have an eye for these things.
[ He observes idly while Setsuna peruses the items. It's all very interesting to him, given how the other had struck him as an independent person. A loner too, perhaps. ]
Do you have a favourite?
no subject
Hotdogs... and milk. But I am not selective.. I will eat most food, provided they will not upset my stomach.
no subject
Any particular reason for them?
