[ Title. Fair enough. Again, it's something that Setsuna can relate to... So he doesn't question why Lord Light decided to give him a title instead of an actual name. Though, there's something else that he means to ask after knowing it. ]

[ With those elegant mannerisms, Setsuna wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. ]

[ That, too, is a difficult question to answer truthfully. However, after consulting Lapis, he has a better idea of what to say. ]

For a loose definition of it, yes. But you need not be formal to me, here my title holds little significance.

[ It's not a lie. ]

[ How humble, for one of high rank to say. Setsuna will respect that desire, so he nods almost obediently to keep it in mind. He'll try not to speak to him too formally, but he would still address him with the full title regardless. At least until they're closer. ]

I see. Lord Light... I appreciate the time you spared.

[ Anyway, if the man has any plans, Setsuna didn't want to keep his attention for long. He only wanted to satisfy his curiosity from earlier and it's been fulfilled. So he'll be on his way, unless offered more time together. ]

[ Lord Light himself does not have any plans - Setsuna is a rather interesting individual, after all, with the way he holds himself. So he speaks first. ]

Are you occupied? If not, may I join you for a while?

[quaria]

[ The invitation causes Setsuna to lightly perk. He looks up at the taller man's expression, wondering what prompted this. But he isn't opposed, so he nods to accept. ]

I am merely... hoping to find anything useful.

[ Information, supplies... Anything that will help him adjust to this world. He's sure that in such a lively gathering, something of worth could possibly turn up. Even if he has to purchase it. ]

It is a good aim.

[ He idly wonders if there is a particular thing Setsuna has in mind. Perhaps it would tell him about the youth's perceptions. ]

[ Another nod follows. Certainly, he wouldn't mind company for a while. There's no harm... And they're both Heroes, so they'll eventually be working together in the future. ]

[ Ah, cheap shopping. It's a very human goal. ]

What do you seek to purchase?

[ That's a good question... Setsuna doesn't have an actual shopping list, though. ]

I have not decided... But it would be preferable to secure supplies that I consider useful, including food items. I am wary of the quality of our cafeteria food...

[ It's a very reasonable thing to be wary of. ]

I have seen what it can do to unsuspecting humans. [ He looks slightly more concerned at this point. ] Finding an alternative is a prudent thing.

[ But he doesn't eat, so he didn't seek them out. ]

[ Yes... Being reminded of the hell of Mondays makes his face turn pale. ]

I will do what I can.

[ With that, Setsuna turns to begin leading the way. He heads down to the area where the shops are, hoping to see those that offer affordable food. It doesn't take long for that to happen thanks to the festival, where most items are priced well in spirit of the celebrations.

Setsuna is particularly drawn to the sight of a bakery also holding a sale... He seems to perk at seeing it, so he hurries on before the crowd beats him to the remaining items. ]

[ It's not a response he misses. Perhaps he should start remedying it in his own way, too. Even if he did not need to eat, it didn't mean others did not either. ]

You have an eye for these things.

[ He observes idly while Setsuna peruses the items. It's all very interesting to him, given how the other had struck him as an independent person. A loner too, perhaps. ]

Do you have a favourite?

[ When it comes to food, Setsuna does have a good eye. And he generally knows what he wants. As he listens to Lord Light, he's already collecting hotdog breads and milk cartons inside a basket. ]

Hotdogs... and milk. But I am not selective.. I will eat most food, provided they will not upset my stomach.

[ An interesting combination, one that he notes down nevertheless. Milk is most known in Krythe for being the preferred drink of teenagers who wish to gain an extra few inches of height. ]

Any particular reason for them?

[quaria]

[ Setsuna thinks over how to answer as he finishes up, then heads to line up to the counter to pay. ]

The milk... Someone important to me told me to keep drinking it. I held on to the habit. I have no particular reason for the hotdogs, however.

[ He just really likes them. ]

[accordance]

[ So it's a form of sentimentality. Setsuna's image in his perception is now changing to someone with a more significant humane side. ]

I see. It is good that you remember them.

[ But it would probably involve something painful, so he keeps quiet for now and lets Setsuna make his purchases, if any. ]

[quaria]

[ Hm... Setsuna wonders if he spoke too much about himself. He's someone who swore an oath to secrecy, so he probably should not have said the part about the milk. But... this person seems so kind; although he lost his abilities to be able to sense other people's intentions, he's still getting this impression.

He wants to believe in this feeling, so he chooses not to regret saying it. ]

... Thank you.

[ Besides, how the topic was dropped is more than enough confirmation that it's likely all right. This person, Lord Light, is respecting him. So he'll return the same treatment.

Once it's Setsuna's turn at the counter, he takes care of his purchases before heading back out of the bakery. Ah, why is he the only one shopping... He curiously looks at the older man, wondering if there's anything he wants around here. ]

What about you?

[ While Setsuna pays for his bread, Lord Light takes his time looking around the bakery, studying the styles of the bread. It is true that each piece of baked good is unique, but there is a certain pattern to them that hints to him how the baker might have worked the dough. Again, the mechanisms at work here seem very similar to that of Krythe. It's not all that different.

He rejoins the other when they leave, again mindful of Setsuna's personal space. When the question is posed, he tilts his head. ]

I have little need for these things. Just observing the people here is enough.

[ Also, he doesn't eat, but he's trying not to say it in case it caused alarm. ]

[ "Little need?" But food is important... Setsuna looks at him curiously, wondering what Lord Light meant by it. Though, he decides not to pry. He didn't want to assume anything.

It's possible that he is just fine with the food at the dining hall. It's free, after all. ]

Observing the people?

[ That one though, he can't resist asking. He does that, too... A whole lot, actually. That's why he wants to know why the other male is doing it. ]

Yes. We are in a new world, after all. This place has its own culture, its own ways, its own beauty. I wish to learn of it.

[ After all, it will become his second home. He has nowhere to return to, so what better use of his time than to put it to service for this one? ]

[ So the same reason as him. Setsuna nods in full understanding. ]

... Me, too.

[ He feels the same way, so there's no need to explain. He knows that Lord Light will understand it just from those simple words. ]

[ It's not a difference that he expected, but it is a pleasant surprise, the thought bringing a barely perceptible smile to his stoic countenance. ]

I am glad. Most are tied closely to their homeland, their memories sometimes cloud their sight.

[ But then again, he is not human. Perhaps this is why he cannot understand. ]

[ There's something that Setsuna wants to find... In order to do that, he needs to keep talking to others, to do his best to understand their lives. He quietly observes the growing smile on Lord Light's face, wondering what the smile means. But it feels gentle. ]

Yes... [ He agrees on that, too. ] When people are faced with changes, they either accept or reject it. Those who are not aware... They fail to understand due to their naivety, leading them to reject reality.

[ It's a very human reaction. Just as if someone who has always lived peacefully is suddenly faced with war, they won't be able to accept it that easily... ]

[ Setsuna is very mature - not in the way that humans would think are mature, but something of Lord Light's own perception. The ability to observe and understand the rules of the world, how the gears turn unseen; and not deny those laws that ultimately do not give allowances for human emotions - it's not an ability that many humans have.

But then again, Setsuna may not be one. ]
