SETSUNA

[Lapis doesn't tend to bathe in the morning, but she had tired herself training way to late last night and so one in the morning was sorely needed. It helps that she wakes up stupid early as well, so when she gets there, it's practically empty. Except there is one other Hero there.

And while Lapis tends to be in the habit of covering herself at least a little bit, since she knows people are more fussy about nudity than she is, she only just holds the towel in her arms as she waves over at Setsuna.]

... Morning, Setsuna. [A-at least... she has a nice figure?? Even if she is badly scarred. ~~Sorry for the trauma Setsuna~~]

LORD LIGHT

[Lord Light's hair is one of the many things about him that Lapis has always been curious about. There's never a strand out of place, and even during the expo his hair was as perfect as ever, despite all the chaos going on. Meanwhile, she's certain her head was resembling a birds nest by the end, though she was more focused on other things at the time.

Even now it looks like his hair is as perfect is ever, and Lapis squints her eyes from her corner of the bath, before shifting closer. She really wants to style it, but will he let her, what if it's something considered offensive where he's from or it's some kind of blasphemy... ]

... Hey, Lord Light, can I braid your hair? [Might as well just go ahead and ask!!]

KAVI

[Judging peoples hair care routines are things she never really tried to do, but sometimes, she just can't help it. Especially when they could have such nice hair, and instead only just do the bare minimum.

Which is why she is rather unimpressed when she notices how Kavi is just... using soap in his hair. It's almost painful to watch, and eventually she moves over to him, her expression unimpressed as she puts her hands on her hips.]

... Let me do your hair. [It's sound more like an order than a request...]

SION

[Now, Lapis is ~~stupidly vain~~ proud about her hair, but she could never imagine growing it out any longer as it is now. Or as long as, for examples, Sion's. She has no shame in admitting that his hair is amazing, but all that hair must take forever to take care of. And probably requires least a small army, something like that.

And while she doesn't really know Sion that well yet, she does want to try and remedy that. So what better way to do that than to offer to help with his miles and miles of hair!]

... Do you need any help? [Said with a finger pointing at his majestic mane of hair, her other hand cradling her chin as she sits on the edge of the bath.]

TIERIA

[It's one thing to judge peoples hair care and see them do something like put their hair in a bun afterwards, but it's another thing when the hair care is awful but their hair is still nice. That is something Lapis finds more mystifying than annoying.

Like with Tieria. Considering Tieria's general attitude, things like fussing over his hair is something she can't imagine him doing, but his hair is still always nice somehow! Maybe he's just born with it or something...]

... You're only using soap, how're you able to still make your hair look nice? [She wants to know your secrets Tieria!]

REGENE

[Lapis has only see Regene and Tieria together a few times, but it's enough to make it clear that there is a very big resemblance between the two. She's pretty certain that the two are identical twins or something like that. Beyond their attitudes and hairstyles, they are pretty much the same.

Which is when she spots Regene in the baths, an idea comes to mind. One that will probably piss off Tieria, but when Lapis has an idea, she tends to roll with it not matter the consequences.]

... Hey, Regene, can I try something?

[Lapis watches him for a bit longer, noticing that despite how he shakes his head, he still doesn't look at her. His words prompting a quiet hum from her, gold eyes watching him for a moment before she finally wraps the towel around her anyway. While she really doesn't care if he sees her naked, it's obvious that he does care a bit more than her.]

... I don't want to make you uncomfortable.

[That's all she says as she sits at the edge of the bath, dipping her feet into the water as she glances over at Setsuna once more. Shifting to rest her chin on her hand as she hums thoughtfully, an idea coming to mind. She imagines it'll probably surprise him, but Lapis is never one to really hold back, or be vague about what she wants to say.]

Can I wash your hair, Setsuna?

[ It isn't that he was uncomfortable, though... It's just that he doesn't know how to handle situations like this. But Setsuna doesn't correct her as she wraps the towel around herself, since she's only doing it with him in mind. He'll accept her sentiments, at least. He was about to lift himself properly again when that unexpected question came. He shifts more quickly at that, turning to look at her with lightly wide eyes.

It was momentary. After a second or two, Setsuna quickly regains himself. He's never had someone ask him that, he can't help but react in that manner. He's always done most things by himself. He did occasionally get spoiled by his family at Celestial Being, but it wasn't a frequent occurrence. They're all more used to be independent. In recent years, they all did grow a lot closer but... No, habits have always been there. Most of them have always been socially stunted.

Anyway, after he regained himself, he considers it properly. There's... no harm, he supposes. ]

... Okay.

[Yeah, she was expecting that reaction, so she just waits patiently for his response. She can understand that it's a surprising thing to be asked, so she wouldn't be bothered if he said no. But for now, she just patiently waits for him to say something, her feet absently swinging in the warm water.

So when he actually says okay, she blinks in surprise for a moment - but then she nods smiling softly as she pulls her legs from out of the bath. Shifting to sit by the edge of the bath now as she motions to the spot in front of her, before she reaches over to the pile of bottles next to her to get the one she needs.]

... Alright, just move over here.

[ It's to wash his hair... It's not a big deal... This is what Setsuna tells himself before he swims closer to Lapis. He's still mostly lowered in the water, so being hidden away like that makes it seem as if he's small.

From where he's sunk, he looks up briefly before turning around so the back of his head would face her instead. It's given from appearance, but his hair is on the fluffier side — it would probably feel as if washing a poofy cat. ]

[How he's still hidden away almost makes her giggle. Almost. But it does get her to smile slightly, and she patiently waits for him to swim over.

She gives him a soft smile when he looks up at her, shifting to grab a bottle of shampoo so that she can lather it up in her hands. Moving her hands to gently massage it through his hair once it's ready, making sure that she doesn't tug on his hair.

And just how fluffy it is gets her to chuckle quietly, fingers still massaging the shampoo into his hair.]

... Your hair is fluffier than I thought, Setsuna.

[ That's a first, too. No one explicitly mentioned that to him, but he did notice that a lot of people are fond of ruffling his hair. Is this the reason?

As she massages through the dark strands, he stays still, trying to get used to the sensation of her soft fingers against his head. It actually feels rather pleasant, even it embarrasses him a little. Now at this point, the shampoo is startling to bubble. ]

Have you done this often?

[ She's good at it... Maybe she does it for a family member back at home? ]

[She makes sure to be as gentle as possible, working her fingers against his scalp and through his strands so that the shampoo is all massaged into his hair. Humming softly as the shampoo begins to bubble, massaging for a moment longer.]

... Mmhm, with my sister. She's usually so tired after work that I would help wash her hair for her.

[As she says this, she reaches for a bowl of water nearby the rinse the shampoo from his hair, her hand placed against his forehead so that the soapy water doesn't get into his eyes.]

[ Ah... So he's right. He has to wonder if she's doing this for him because she's lonely. She might miss her sister, doing this for her...

He feels kind of spoiled right now. As the shampoo is rinsed off, he closes his eyes reflexively but isn't tensing up, especially with her gentle touch helping him. Now he looks like a soaked kitten with that dripping hair—

He even shakes the water off like one. Once he does this, he looks back at her a little. If she really does miss her sister, what can he do for her to help her feel better? ]

... You can wash my hair anytime, if you like.

[ ... ... Okay, maybe that's an extremely weird offer. But he just wanted to help her feel less lonely! He realizes it a few seconds after though, so he ends up reddening again and looking away. ]

No, I mean... Forget it.

[He is right, she is rather lonely. More lonelier than she would care to admit.

But still, she likes doing this for her friends, likes being able to spoil them like this - especially when it seems like he doesn't get spoiled often.

But her hands freeze in the task of pouring conditioner onto them at his words, blinking at him in surprise and then giggling softly at how he actually starts to redden. Wow, he looked really - ]

... Y'know, you're really cute, Setsuna. [It's said warmly, a smile curling at the corners of her lips as she peeks down at him.]

But thank you, I'll make sure to take you up on that offer then. [So she knows what you meant, Setsu.]

[ Wh— Cute? HIM? Setsuna nearly loses his balance in the water from the unexpected compliment, but he manages to catch himself on time. As he straightens his position, he glances back at her with a questioning gaze. What made her call him that? Or is she just teasing him?

She's probably just teasing... His eyes wander to the water afterwards, at least glad that she took the offer. If it helps her feel better, then he doesn't regret extending it to her. It isn't much, but he hopes it'll lighten her mood. It seems it's already working though, with her looking so amused. ]

I see... That is good.

[ That she understood him, and that she's willing to try it out. ]

[The loss of balance gets an amused laugh from her, the sound carrying despite how soft her voice tends to be - she can be surprisingly loud thanks to singing for over a decade. So it makes her yelling Super Effective.

But right now there's no yelling - only amusement as she smiles down at him. She's both teasing and stating face, because he is cute. Even a blind person would say he's cute.]

... Even though I laughed, I really did mean it. [Usually she's much more lineface when she teases anyway, for extra hilarity. For her anyway.]

Though you'll have to see if you like how I do your hair first.

[Now she moves her hands to run the conditioner through his hair, bringing it to the ends before gently massaging her fingers against his scalp to get it all in there. She hums softly as she does this, the song slow but cheerful.]

[ If there's anyone cute here, it has to be Lapis. Setsuna can't believe it at all, evident with his conflicted expression. No, he can't accept that compliment, especially when she knows nothing of the real him. His eyes momentarily blur; but after hearing her laugh, he's quick to refocus.

He'll just let the first topic slide, so he only responds to the second statement. ]

Okay...

[ And now he's back to being quiet, allowing her to continue. But really, she's good at this. She could pass working for a hair salon or a health spa. In fact, her kind gestures are gradually causing him to feel sleepy by the minute. ]

[She notices the conflicted expression, but if he argued, she would stand firm in her opinion. He's far cuter than her, with how kind and warm he is - and how he got embarrassed earlier. Lapis is too blunt and tactless to be considered cute.

But she lets the comfortable silence settle around them, with the sound of her quiet hum filling the air now. Her fingers gently moving to massage the back of his head now, now both brushing the conditioner through his hair and helping him to relax. His sleepiness is something she notices, and it causes another soft smile to appear as she peeks at him, keeping her voice a bit quieter than usual when she speaks.

Really, how can anyone think he's not cute after seeing him like this?]

... Does that feel okay?

[ Having met people who are far more blunt and tactless than Lapis (his embarrassing, younger self included), Setsuna doesn't regard hers as a negative trait. It's part of her charm, because she's usually determined to speak her mind. It's a cute trait for sure. She's kind and thoughtful too, and whenever she does ask for something, it's usually something to help others. That's why... to Setsuna, she's cute. ... She's pretty cute too, appearance wise.

AHEM. Anyway, her soft humming isn't making it any better. He could fall asleep like this, but his resistance isn't allowing him. He doesn't want to be completely defenseless around anyone, even if he trusts the other person. It's just part of his guarded nature. So he's trying to keep himself conscious as much as possible. Talking helps with that. ]

It feels nice. Thank... you.

[If Setsuna ever said any of that she would probably be embarrassed for the rest of the day. She's used to be seen as creepy or rude. Mostly just rude now since she likes to troll people, such as when she accidentally threw a snowball at Adra and then laughed when he smeared it across his face. Which is why she thinks Setsuna is much cuter - he's both innocent but has seen so much. He's not been made warped like she is.

But yes anyway. Lapis knows how naturally guarded Setsuna is, and knows that there's no way he could completely relax, especially around her. They may be friends, but that doesn't mean he has to trust her completely. And Lapis doesn't mind that.]

... That's good, and you don't have to thank me. I know you're on your guard a lot, so I wanted to offer a chance for you to relax, even if it's only a little bit.

[Now that the conditioner has been put in, she'll be gently rinsing out his hair, placing a hand to his forehead so that he won't get any water in his eyes.]

[ If she keeps that up, he might one day!! He wants to prove his point, and that's the best way to do it. Prepare yourself, Lapis...! But Setsuna remains sane despite his background because he closed himself as self-preservation. Though, with his sanity in tact, an equivalent was sacrificed in place: his emotions.

Lapis is really understanding of him... He's always grateful each time she does something for him. This is exactly why he feels that he isn't doing enough for her. It just didn't feel right for him not to do anything for her. ]

It helps...

[ And so wordlessly, he promises to himself to do something for her later. ]

[She isn't prepared...!! She's never prepared!! And Lapis would totally argue that he was emotions - even if they're muted, he still expresses himself. She saw that embarrassment earlier.

And Lapis is firm in the belief that Setsuna should be spoiled whenever possible. It seemed like his life has been a difficult one, so she wants to try and make him happy. So she never expects anything in return - his happiness is enough for her.]

... That's good. Then I should do this more often.

[She finishes rinsing out his hair, now getting one last bottle and lathering the hair masque in her hands - reaching to simply brush this through his hair, since this doesn't require any massaging. Gonna make his hair look extra fluffy!]

Just this, and then we're done.

[ Even though Setsuna suppresses his emotions, they're still destroyed. He has no sense of real happiness, no sense of real sadness... He can no longer remember the last time he shed tears. He doesn't have the heart to be able to laugh openly anymore, or have the capability to freely express himself without burden. He feels shame and embarrassment, but that's part of his humility.

No matter what, he will no longer feel the same way as others. ]

I really appreciate it. [ She didn't have to do these at all, but here she is. ] ... It is probably not my place to say this, but you are a good friend.

[Even if his emotions are destroyed, Lapis still wants to do something for him - if he isn't able to feel happiness, then maybe something close to it.

Though her hands freeze when he calls her a good friend, her cheeks quickly burning as she turns completely red. Now she's really glad he can't see her, but that doesn't stop her from ducking her head down as she rinses his hair once more.]

... I don't think I am, b-but thank you. [There's a few more moments where she brushes the water through his hair, before she finally pulls her hands away.]

A-anyway, I'm done now.

[ Well, Lapis better remember it because Setsuna will not repeat it for a while. It's embarrassing... Once she finishes, he swims forward a little before turning to face her. He was about to say something, but notices how completely flushed she is.

Is she sick? Or maybe she stayed too long in these steamy baths. ]

Are you all right?

[Lapis is more than okay with Setsuna never repeating that again! She would prefer that!

While she was expecting him to pull away once he was done, she wasn't expecting him to turn to face her. The fact that he can see how she's blushing only flusters her even more, and she quickly reaches to cover her very red cheeks with her hands.]

- I-I'm fine! I'm just... A bit embarrassed, that's all.

[ E-Embarrassed?? He's embarrassed, too! Setsuna was trying to shake it off (he almost did), but this is only making it worse again; it's more than enough to cause him to start reddening once more. Thankfully though, Lapis said that she's fine, so he can accept that and move on.

So he nods, beginning to swim away afterwards with the intention of finishing off his bath alone and... simply moving on. They're done here, and they would likely need the space so they can rid of their mutual embarrassment. ]

... I will see you, then.

[ OK BYE!!! ]
