He had to chuckle when Shin-Ah brought Ao to him. The little ball of fluff always did seem to cheer him up! He began to pet her as he felt Shin-Ah embrace him, and chuckled at that too before he put his arm around the young man's shoulders.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for getting a bit sad, it was nothing about you or us being family."

Because of course the younger man had felt it. He was far too perceptive not to, after all!

"Well! I should probably get back to our guests downstairs. You're welcome to come with me, or you can stay here and rest for a bit if you like. People can be a bit tiring!"
