Shunsui put a gentle hand on his shoulder when he saw the way Shin-Ah was looking at the room and the things in it. Tp Shunsui, they were quite basic...a bed, a small desk, a bureau for clothes and a chair and small table with a reading lamp, but he knew that to someone who had grown up without such things, these could seem like so much more than what they were. It would probably take some time for Shin-Ah to feel comfortable in doing as he liked, but Shunsui hoped it wouldn't be too hard on him. He'd be here to help in any way he could.

"Ahhh, well, they do say that there's a first time for everything! And this seems like a good time for you to have that ability, I think.

He didn't know a great deal of the younger man's past, and it seemed so rude to bring up such things. But from what little he did know, the boy had been feared for his powers, through no fault of his own. That made Shunsui incredibly sad, because Shin-Ah was one of the sweetest people he'd ever met, and he truly wanted him to feel at home here in this place.

"This room doesn't need to dark or empty, should you not want it to be. It won't take away the memories of the cave, but this place is yours as long as you wish it to be, to do with as you will."

He stopped, then, patting Shin-Ah's head affectionately.

"I'm very glad you're here."
