Who: Vietnam, and possibly you
When: September (Sylvant) 2nd to 3rd! Probably during daylight hours.
Where: Caissa
What: September 2nd is Vietnam's "birthday"! But as someone who keeps things a generally quiet affair...she's just going around gift giving and chilling.
Rating: Probably PG in case something actually blows up.
[There are very few people Vietnam has told her birthday too, only because she doesn't bring it up unless conversation dictates it's time to bring it up. It's nothing she doesn't hide, of course. But even so, on the day itself, she doesn't even hold a party, despite the suggestion and idea.
Instead, once Vietnam finds a little time to herself, you find her in one of two places:]
Hall of Glory
[You may find her walking along the hallways of the Hall of Glory, having placed a parcel in front of each door. Inside you will find these firm jelly desserts, rau câu, known for their fancy as hell designs. Look at those floral jelly designs!
If you don't stop her for a chat, she'll just quietly disappear. There are more to hand out, after all.
PS: It tastes like fruit or coconut. Random...surprise...]
Caissa
[Vietnam, now with a new red motorcycle, sits by the path of the market places, dressed in a traditional áo dài. It's been some time she wore one since arriving in this world, and so now she looks like a tourism brochure for her home. With fields stretching every which way, she's pretty satisfied with that reminder of a quiet life.
Now she just wants to watch the people walk past, to remind her of bustling capital cities, with some coffee she brewed in hand, and some assorted candied preserves for anyone who approaches and asks.]
They look strange, but the taste is not. I promise. Unusual time to be handing these out, as they are usually reserved for the new year.

[Hakuno is a terrible critic, when it comes to sweets. They could look terrible, as long as they weren't a bloody red, and she would probably still be at least a little interested.]
What's the occasion? Has it been a full year since you came here?

On September 2nd, 1945, Vietnam declared independence. It was the day my current life as Vietnam was born. So, to countries, such important events are considered one's birthday.

[Despite all odds and previous examples to the contrary, Hakuno does not take the candy. She's apparently too busy looking stricken, looking quietly crushed, looking like she wants the ground to swallow her up.]
I-I'm sorry. I didn't—I didn't even think of birthdays. I'll definitely find you a good present before the end of the day...!

[She looks at it, then at Vietnam, then a moment of recognition flickers in her eyes.]
Oh--it's you. Do you always just randomly give out presents?
no subject
I do like the idea of giving gifts out randomly, however, September 2nd...or I believe this would calls it Sylvant, is a special day for me. Most would call it a birthday.
[So she's giving out gifts. Go figure.]

I mean, I never really was much for the celebration thing in the first place, but I always liked my birthday because I could get things outta' people for free.

she does hold her hand out to accept them, but only after asking playfully,]
You want me to get fat, don't you? Is this some way of saying I should put on weight to have more of a figure, or attract a boyfriend? Or maybe you just think eating sweets will kill my melancholy, because I'm alone.

She near laughs but instead coughs, so it sounds a little silly as she taps her own chest.]
I suppose you are a little skinny from some angles... [SHE'S JOKING.] No, you are very beautiful, Rin. So you can do whatever you wish with your looks. As for these sweets, I made them alone so I wonder what that means...

Setsuna already has an idea of what all these food are for, thanks to both Gilgamesh and Vietnam herself informing him. So he's trying assist her whenever he can. Really, even though they're not in Q208 today, it feels... pretty much the same way as ever. ]
Are these enough? I can go shopping for you, if you need anything else...
this is probably the day before lbr
Either way, she shakes her head at first.] Y-you don't have to. [She gives him a tiny fist pump.] It should be something I do myself...I...I think I have enough time! [A firm nod!] If I finish all of these, then I have enough time to--
[Prepare gifts for Gilgamesh and Setsuna. She stops herself, stops herself from looking so joyful as well and clears her throat, going back to pretending like she's totally cool.
Which means she bribes him with more food. EAT MORE FOOD.]

Okay, he really has to stop thinking about food and greet the nice lady like a normal person now. What's the matter with him? ]
Did you also come out for a leisurely stroll through here? Perhaps, you wouldn't mind the companionship once more. I was hoping to find a little more about these past heroes that once graced this land with their presence.
[ He idly wonders if any of them will end up emblazoned in these halls, though he hopes to seek glory for his princess. She should be acknowledged for all she does to support and heal the wounded even at her own expense. ]
HOT
Hello, Subaki! [She waves a little as she hears his voice.] I have a little quest, but I would definitely like some companionship. [Especially today. Actually, she hasn't given him his gift at his door yet, so she can sneak it to him. Heh.] Have you seen any paintings that interested you? Perhaps if yourself?

You've my thanks, [He replied, bobbing his head in what passed for a polite bow before taking one. Candied fruits such as these weren't commmonly served in his homeland outside of holidays either, but it was a welcome change from the heavier foods that seemed to prevail in this country.]
We've a similar custom in my country, [he added.] Is this a special occassion for you?
no subject
She waits patiently as he takes a piece to eat, and looks pleased when he mentions that he has similar foods. Would he be from Earth too...?]
What do you think? [Did it taste good?] And you do? But yes, it is. Today is my independence day, which also serves as a birthday.

hall o' glorious candy (also i'm so sorry)
The door opens.
Look, Yoon isn't expecting anyone to be stealthily leaving him presents (though, after Teddy, maybe he should have?) so he has no reason to open the front door carefully. It just swings right on outward. Hopefully not into Vietnam herself? ]

Why are you giving everybody gifts? [Aigis had been heading back to her dorm room, but had seen Vietnam walking down the hallway and planting parcels in front of the rooms. It had been interesting enough, so she'd stopped to watch.]

Today is a special day, Aigis! [She may know of her history, so perhaps matching date to reason would help.] On Earth, it is my day of independence. For countries, it can also serve as a birthday.
