[Sion's mana bridges the spell together from the other end, and Potemkin finding that connection is what it takes for the subject to at last link together in his head, all of his study and effort and that which had previously frustrated him now developing into a sense of the magic. His progress rapidly grows stronger, which shows itself in the progress of the of the spell.

Potemkin had only reached out with his hand because it was convenient, but it turned out to have been the appropriate choice. Just as his weapon took mana from his hands, they are also how he heals. A red light glows from the edges of Sion's self-inflicted wound, eventually bright enough to create beams that stick out into the air above. Potemkin is surprisingly calm at this development, too determined to have this be done. And the spell itself does not feel unpleasant. There's a methodicalness to how the cut is reversed bit by bit, like it's approaching from Potemkin's scientific mindset.]


I would consider myself worthless if I couldn't commit. As soon as Noir attacks again, I will be there. Consider that a formal declaration.
