001. ♀ Dude Looks Like A Lady

[ The dungeon wasn't successful. At least, for Minato it wasn't. Apollo was thankfully able to finish it off and Minato was able to try and protect Aigis, but when he re-spawned outside, he was...different.

Like, reddish brown hair, wider hips, and more reasons to wear a shirt type of different. He's seen this happen before--or rather, he's heard about it, but to actually experience a full on bodily switch...

It's...interesting.

So now there's a new female hero wandering about Petrosian, wearing a uniform that is made for a boy with different measurements. She looks a little confused, gaze shifting from building to building. It creates a convenient opening to accidentally bump shoulders with someone passing by. ]

Oh...sorry.

[ Is that really is voice? Her voice? Gah, she can't even get her mental dialogue straight. ]

002. ♀ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

[ He's had side effects from a dungeon before, but never more than a day or two. Returning to Caissa had been the main goal at first. Now that he's woken up on day three, Minato figures he...she will just have to find a way to enjoy it. Granted, for what experience he has with he female body really doesn't prepare him for having one. The first day was enlightening, the second day was entertaining, and now, well...

What do girls get to do that he doesn't?

So Minato goes out.

A > The Dining Hall is crowded during meal times. Why does she decide to come to this place? Well, because it's free. So there's a strange new Hero in town gorging on the buffet. Where is she pudding all that pudding?

B > Who doesn't love an obligatory bath scene? Minato enjoyed the baths before and that hasn't changed just because he's got a little more going on up top. Minato is enjoying a nice bath, or maybe napping. But, is that a fish in the water too?

C > Reinforcing gender norms by shopping. Or maybe she really just doesn't have many articles of clothing that fit his new feminine physique. Not that he's worried about longevity, but...he looks decidedly less questionable in the lingerie section now that he's a she. Help a girl out? ]

003-A. ♀ Live Free or Dye Hard

[ Just because Minato is in the middle of a very strange shift in physiology doesn't mean that there isn't a job to do. Patrolling the river doesn't sound too difficult, so she figures that it'll do for now. Got to keep that income...coming in and that public image, right? Not that she's particularly worried about what the masses think of the Heroes, but she is starting to see how it's affecting her colleagues. The rumors and conspiracies that have begun to pop up around it don't bode well either. She doesn't particularly like the idea of being used, but she's undecided about the amount of truth in those theories.

That leads her to now. Now, waiting for people and mergoats. She's never actually seen a mergoat before, so that will be interesting. Sword in hand, she walks slowly down the riverbed, occasionally looking up to scan the horizon. She's not alone, though, and it's not her carrier. She's actually following the wanderings of a baby griffon, who despite its fearsome appearance, is only a couple of feet tall for now.

Super cute.

In fact, this griffon is so excited to be out--which is one of there reasons Minato brought it along in the first place--that it tries to take off. Unfortunately, said griffon hasn't mastered flying yet, and sort of jumps high into the air, veers to the left, and slams right into someone else. ]

[ Oops. ]

003-B. ♂ Dye Hard With Vengeance

[ He's...he's glad to be back to normal. He's used to this body, he knows this body, and as fun as the stint had been on the short-term, the thought of being a girl permanently was...well, not devastating, but there are certain things he missed about being a guy. One of them had to do with how short the lines to the bathroom always were.

Now he's patrolling the river...again. But just as himself. How boring.

He looks totally innocuous, at least at first. After chasing down a pair of bandits, Minato finds himself with a bag of their stolen goods. Standing there, by the river. That...doesn't look incriminating, does it?

Oh, he's not alone, is he? ]

...It's not what it looks like.

[ Normally when shopping for things like this, it's best to not make any kind of contact, if you can avoid it. And for the most part, Lux seems to be adhering to that unsaid rule. But after Minatko's third pass around that particular rack, the blond was beginning to get the impression that the other girl might be a bit out of her depth.

It was probably bad manners to say anything, but it was also bad manners to let her continue to flounder aimlessly, so instead, Lux wanders over, making it seem like she was looking at the same thing.

........except that was a bit racy yikes. How do you even wear that comfortably?! ]

[ To be honest, she didn't mind doing loops and loops around the rack. She just never realized and appreciated the variety of styles of panties available. In true loose protagonist fashion, getting them off had been more interesting than seeing what they were, but she feels that she's going to pay closer attention from now on.

Cotton...or silk? Does it matter? What are the benefits of each? And what about patterns? Is that cookie monster on one of them? She likes that one.

Oh, what about this? She picks up one that's lacy and...not much else, right when Lux comes over.

[ Minato turns her attention back to the panties. ]

I guess you would know better than me.

[ It's a whole new silky smooth world you've waltzed into, Minato. The question is, are you ready for all of these choices?

Apparently not if the cookie monster panties are factoring into this.

Heavens above, you can see right through those. Mother, father, she's so sorry. Her politeness has finally gotten the better of her... ]

I-I mean, if that is what you like, then by all means, it's a good choice!

[ Suddenly she has regrets. ]

[ Generally, Wukong doesn't make it a point to stop by the dining hall as much--- it's only Sunday when he decides to try to sneak as many banana-flavored snacks into his pockets and tries to get his carrier to actually carry some stuff out. Not that he's successful: the guards and staff are aware of his general, lighthearted 'thievery' and don't tolerate it.

But this is a special day. ]

... you... really like pudding, don't you?

[ Standing behind Minato, the monkey clearly doesn't recognize Minato in the slightest, albeit his focus is on the heaping mountains of dessert. ]

You know, a well balanced diet is supposed to be better for you, but uh. Uh. Hm.

[ He's TRYING not to say anything stupid. ]

[ Banana pudding is always something to be excited about. Of course it's probably extra exciting when you're a monkey of sorts, but no judging here. She's already had her fair share and is going back for seconds. She's a growing girl, okay.

Minato recognizes Wukong instantly, although she doubts the same can go for him. Er...her? Wukong never actually saw Minato's face, male or female. This could be amusing.

She looks down at her plate, then back up at her colleague. ]

I had banana bread too.

[ See? BALANCED. Cards AND dairy. ]

[ There's something awfully familiar about this girl. Perhaps she spent more time in the hall on this specific day, and he's just now recognizing her? Or maybe, Wukong's passed her by many times and just NOW started realizing that another banana connoisseur lives among the heroes? Either way, a healthy liking of the mightiest of fruits gives her some automatic credibility. ]

You... did? Ooh. Guess I should get some before it's all gone. Do you want more?

[ Hopefully it's not all gone! He just got here! But before he goes to rescue the bread from undeserving people... ]

[There are exactly two times that Meliora goes without her eyepatch. The first is when she's asleep, and the second is when she's in the bath. That means the yellow crystal where her left eye should be is on full display, even with her hair done up and her up to her neck in the water relaxing.]

[It takes her a few moments to properly decide what to do about her company in the mixed baths, but the fish is probably a way to strike up a conversation. She pushes off of the floor and sort of floats her way over in a manner designed to seem totally casual and like she didn't mean to at all. Once she gets over near the other girl, she casually glances towards the fish and points at it.]

...was that always here?

[ Minato does recognize her, although she'd been pretty set on sleeping the afternoon away. (That's what you do with your brand new body? Nap? You bet your sweet bippy!) But there is something nice about getting to be in a bath with girls and not, you know, get executed for it. Not that he'd actively seek it out, but there is something serendipitous about it. Somewhere Junpei's ears are ringing, surely.

She opens her eyes when she hears movement, blinking in a sleepy haze as she's approached. Yes, Meliora. She remembers writing down a food list. Has she tried anything yet? ]

Hm?

[ Minato's gaze shifts to... ]

No.

[ Flatly. ]

I thought he could use a bath too.

[ LOGIC? ]

..you're givin' a fish a bath? [Great. A space case. Well, she's cute. Meliora takes the opportunity to sit down next to her, arms back to lean on the rim of the bath behind her.]

[She tilts her head to one side, keeping an eye on the fish as she tries poking it with a toe. It keeps swimming away, but it's an interesting enough thing to keep her occupied.]

Well, I've heard of worse ways to have a laugh. So! You new around here? Can't say as I recognize you.

[Nobunaga actually staggers forward a step upon being bumped into, but she's also got a good foot (and two or three inches) of extra height with the appropriate amount of body mass to go with it. It isn't terribly difficult to keep her footing and not fall over.

...which, to be frank, is what'd usually happen. She might even go straight into the river.

But upon turning to see the culprit, she kicks a foot in its direction as if trying to scare the griffon off. It's not a violent gesture though, more chiding than anything else. She intentionally misses it at least, and it's a gentle enough action that even if it did manage to be struck it wouldn't actually be hurt.]

Get back, you miserable little thing. I've nothing for you.

[Hasn't even seen Minakto yet.]

[ Ah. The griffon really doesn't like that, letting out a sort of screeching squawk as it barrel rolls and hits the ground. Of it's own doing, really. Minato kind of watches it with the stare of a disappointed parent, which she pretty much feels like at the moment. Poor little thing scrambles to its feet and all but flees back to where Minato has been watching.

He's only had the thing for a couple of weeks and they're already friends...and by friends we mean she didn't sign up for this babysitting gig, what was she thinking. She just wanted something cool to ride into battle like all the other kids, and now she has to house train it. (Nevermind it shouldn't be allowed in the room.) ]

...Sorry. Still learning.

[Robot or not, she still has to enter low power mode at night to replenish her mana. It's as close to sleep as she comes.

And when Minat/ko wakes up one morning, he'll find her kneeling next to his bed, her arms and cheek up on the foot of the mattress. She doesn't want to let him out of her sight.]

[ She shouldn't be surprised at this point. It's a little bit like back home, although this time its motivated by grief. Minato wakes up in the late morning as per usual, noting that, yes, still female. She sighs, unsure of how long this is going to last. And there's Aigis' head at the foot of the bed.

Minato sighs and just watches her for a moment. She's returned to her old self, but does it discount everything that had happened before? ]

...Aigis.

3A

[ Irisviel turns her head as she hears the sound of something coming towards her and she thinks it's an enemy attack. Which means the crown on her head sparkles with mana and her hand extends outwards to generate a protective shield in front of her. The poor griffon slams into it and makes a noise of pain. Her eyes open wide as she realises that it wasn't an enemy attack and quickly lowers the barrier to run to it.

She crouches next to the poor griffon, quickly looking at it to see whether she'd caused any damage. Thankfully it seemed like it had only knocked itself out briefly from the impact, but otherwise the baby griffon was okay. ]

[ She hasn't had a ton of time to really bond with the baby griffon, but that's definitely a skip in her heartbeat when she sees the creature fly right into that mana shield. Her eyes widen as she hurries over, boots making a squishing sound against the wet earth of the riverbank. The would be griffon-assaulted, however, seems just as worried as she is.

But...is the griffon not moving? ]

[ Apparently it's a day for two unfamiliar faces to be seen in the dining hall. Dressed smartly in a pair of slacks and a black vest over a collared shirt, Maki's apparently tried to at least dress well, even if she's not sure how it turned out.

Not to mention, that doing just about anything feels awkward and strange. She's so much taller than she was before too, giving her a literal new perspective.

Sitting down across from a certain girl, Maki places the light meal in front of him (just a salad...) and picks up his fork. Only to watch a girl attacking her pudding. An unfamiliar one at that. ]

I didn't realize they had pudding today..

[ Minato doesn't even look up from her pudding at first. The tables are communal, after all, and to be fair the last time someone sat in front of her while she had pudding, they started an awful food fight and got them both sentenced to laps. Maybe she's a little protective of the pudding.

It's not a voice she recognizes, though, so she does at least give it a pause and raise her eyes to the boy sitting across from her. ]

...They always have pudding if you know who to ask.

[ Minato has an in. Of course she has an in. ]

[It's one thing to watch a guy die in front of you, and then to walk out and see him respawned into a girl. It's probably the most bizarre thing he's ever experienced, especially coming out of the dungeon teary-eyed and feeling awful at that.

Naturally, when Apollo sees Minato, he heads over to sit with him to eat (because let's face it he's not passing up free food.)]

So you're still a -- how many cups of that have you had?

[He doesn't even get to finish the first part of his sentence. That's a lot of pudding.]

[ That dungeon was definitely an emotional (and physical) roller coaster. Turns out throwing up wasn't the worst thing that was going to happen to Minato, but he...she made it out. Sort of. In the sense that she's alive again. You know? Close enough.

He's one of the few people that knows her secret, though.

Minato actually gives Apollo the time of day almost instantly. She blinks, watching him sit, then answers both questions in the following fashion: ]

[ A pause for dramatic affect. ]

And I still have my girlish figure.

[Kaede, as usual, didn't care about the baths being mixed. Or that she was taking up way too much space lounging there. Or that this time another girl was somewhere nearby. Only that no one was currently bothering her and that was just fine.

Except there was something nibbling on her toe. It kind of...tickled.

Kaede just made a grumbling noise and tried to push the offending tickling presence away with her other foot. She was tired today, okay, don't make her move more than she has to. Including moving her head or opening her eyes.

Go away tickly thing.]

[ Unagi-kun is really just a helpful fish. He wants to enjoy the bath but he wants other people to enjoy the bath, too. (Yes, he is people.) So when he sees toes, he thinks, I should clean them. Or at least that's what Minato imagines he's thinking. He's probably just hungry.

So Unagi-kun does what he does best and continues to clean Kaede's toes. Minato is pretty sure she knows what's going on. ]

[ That dungeon sure was an experience. Setsuna makes it in one piece as usual, so there's nothing to worry about from his side. Maybe he just looks a little more tired today, but that's expected considering what happened not long ago.

When the girl bumps onto him and apologizes, Setsuna doesn't flinch or react much. He's just glad it's over for now, so something like this really isn't a big deal compared to monsters jumping at him. So he looks over carefully, nodding just once to pardon her.

... Wait a minute. Who is this? He's never seen her before. One of those Hero cosplayers? Or maybe another new Hero? ]

[ Ah, Setsuna! Someone she's relieved to see. Someone who understands her on a fundamental level, and not just because they both share a love of napping and food. How Setsuna was able to see so clearly into her when she was down has resonated with her ever since. So his presence his welcome. ]

Senpa--

[ Oh.

Wait.

Minato is a she. And kind of uncharacteristically warm tone-themed, which is in contrast to his normal cool scheme. There is no way Setsuna would know this is Minato. ]

[ Sorry, did this just get weird? ]

[She makes a motion at her, even as she steps aside and pulls away. She didn't know who this dazed girl was, but she wasn't about to let that get in the way. She had things she could be doing, things to shop for, things to scout.

Though...that bump. The mana seemed...familiar.]

Give me your hand for a moment? I want to check something.

[ Oh, it's Caren. Minato should have been paying closer attention, but she does feel a little...off. Even beyond the whole being a girl thing.

The request isn't one Minato thinks twice about. She blinks once before offering her hand as asked. ]
