What good is sitting alone in your room?

Who: Yukari

couldntpullthetrigger, any female CR of hers that wants to come, and any female CR of THEIRS that would've been invited for a night out. Like Six Steps To Kevin Costner, except only girls are involved.
When: Sometime Between July 2nd and 3rd(tm)
Where: La Coniglietta, Capablanca
What: Girl's night out at a club. Unfortunately, Yukari forgot to check what kind of club it is after she got a pass to a VIP exclusive room. OH WELL :D
Rating: DD for boobs. It is a cabaret after all. (Will update if it gets beyond anything you can expect at an adult night establishment)

[After the win at the Battle of Graupera, Yukari had found herself in possession of a pass and instructions on how to turn it in for what she had thought was just an exclusive hotspot of a club in Capablanca. Fortunately, it is indeed a hotspot of activity, men and women and somewhat less identifiable beings from all over gathering to try to get in past the burly bouncers and into the famous late-night club.

The pass got her entire group in easily enough, but upon walking in to the dim lights, the background music, preparing to set the stage for the show, and the...

... Well, just walking in the door gained a great view of a nearly-topless woman striding past with a notable bounce in her step, and Yukari felt the color drain from her face a little.

Oh god. What kind of club did she get invited to!?

The VIP room is on the second floor, sequestered off from the staircase by a lush, velvet curtain. There's a balcony that looks down onto the main floor and stage, with seats around tables, and they have their own, private couple of staff that wait hand and foot for their orders, and seem... well, particularly flirtatious. Likely because they want to get a good tip, but to be honest, personal space is not really a thing for long. They seem to like sitting on laps. It's terrible.]

OOC; y'all can treat it like a mingle, enjoy the 'shows', have fun, enjoy sexy wererabbits and anyone who isn't secure in their sexual orientation wondering why it's so flustering to have a rabbit girl shoving boobs in their face.

[Well, she wants to hunt her, she'll get a fight. It's almost more of a dance than a real hunt, a little step one way, a little to the other, all the while Yukari tries to pretend she is, or can, get away. It's the best she can do.

Even if she understands the lyrics and she does Not like the implication. It's all just a show, she reminds herself, even though her whole body is shaking with nerves, and walking is a bit of a chore because her knees feel like they want to give out. She steels herself, though, because this is all just an act. It'll be fine. Yukari will be fine.

... And then Maki gets up to her. She's sort of expecting another too-close armgrab, maybe a hug that looks different from the outside than what it feels like.

She's not expecting Maki to...

... Oh god.

Oh god oh god oh - is she going to... Yukari draws back a little, flinching away from Maki a little, entirely out of reflex.

Luckily, the kiss lands on her cheek, and the crowd definitely appreciates it, but perhaps not as much as if it'd landed on her lips (though Yukari might've had to break a few hearts by slapping Maki for that one).

Okay... okay, she can do a little kiss on the cheek. She can...

... Oh god her knees just gave out.

And the applause seems to get louder, because for all intents and purposes, it almost looks like Yukari melted from that one little motion and not

because she's racked with stagefright at the moment.

And with the hand on her chin, or at least when it forced her head up as she landed on her knees, she looks like she's giving some kind of awestruck, lovesick look at Maki.

Oh there's gonna be fanfiction about this one.]

Are you alright, Takeba-san?

[ Maki sounds more than a little worried. The shows ended, and after they worked their way through a crowd of both male and female patrons asking Maki for a private show on the way to the VIP section, Maki helped Yukari to one of the plush velvet couches, letting the other girl sit.

Her adrenaline is still rushing, remember what it feels like to perform, though a venue like this is still nothing compared to the Dome. But it's not really the size of the venue that makes any difference. It's still just... exciting. It makes Maki's heartrace and fills her with so much joy to sing and perform. So much so that she barely even realized what she was doing to Yukari until it was too late.

And now she can't help but feel bad, looking down at the other girl with a concerned expression as she twirls the end of a piece of her hair. ]

[DOES SHE LOOK OKAY she looks like she's coming down from a panic attack.

Which isn't entirely far from the truth, but as soon as she had the chance to sit, she immediately ducked her head down to her knees and sighed.]

Y-yeah. I'll be fine. Just don't do that again... don't... let me do that again. Not unless I know what the hell I'm doing, okay? [She is, notably, still trembling from the adrenaline, but now that it's fading, all she has is the continued shakiness.]

[ Honestly she looks a lot like how Umi and Hanayo look after a big performance. Usually in Hanayo's case she gets the girl rice as soon as possible but for Umi, and most likely Yukari too it means getting her something to drink. ]

You weren't that bad at all. You actually seemed like you were really getting into it. [ Maki tries to cheer her up, as she asks one of the bunnies for a drink... while trying not to look down while she does so. ]

I was surprised you came up with that last part, that really made them cheer.

[ With the drink ordered Maki sits down next to the other girl, patting her back gently, hoping it would help. ]

[Something non-alcoholic maybe. Or maybe she just needs a ton more alcohol to calm herself down. Whatever, she'll probably drink it whenever it gets delivered.]

Y-yeah. Well, I couldn't just stand there like a deer caught in the headlights, so I had to do something. I just kinda ran with the hunter theme, but my improv could probably use some work. [She rubs her eyes, and sits up a bit, looking a little like the color's returning to her cheeks.]

... But um... I didn't really come up with that last part. It just sort of happened.

[ Maki didn't think to specify. Hopefully their drinks aren't too alcoholic at least, so neither ends up with a painful hangover and little memory of what transpired.

...Actually that might be what Yukari would want. ]

You did really great. You got the crowd all worked up and into it.

[ Seeing Yukari coming around Maki leans away, removing her hand to give her a smile. At first, until she hears that. ]

Huh? What do you mean?

[Yeah she could go one way or the other. Something non alcoholic and refreshing to help her center... or something really alcoholic so she doesn't remember this whole thing in the end.

... She's glad at least she didn't make a total ass out of herself up there on stage, but...]

Nerves got to me. My legs just kinda gave out. I wasn't super steady that whole time if you hadn't noticed.

[ Well, the drinks will be back in any moment. It's a toss up what it will be, but Maki is more than the type to have zero trouble with complaining about incorrect service even when she was the one in the wrong. So it would really come down to whether Yukari would accept the drinks. ]

Oh, I thought... You did so well back at the fashion show.

[ Did she? Maki seems to think so anyway, even though she knows that Yukari is still new at this. ]

It was fun though, right? I was really getting into it!

Yeah, but it's easier to just walk down a catwalk than to do a whole song and dance routine. Especially with a song ya don't know. [Sigh. If she knew the song, it'd be a lot easier, overall.]

Yeah. Fun. Maybe if I'd rehearsed it some before I could have fun with it, but I really don't like being sprung on with stuff like that. But I'll blame that waitress.

Really? I always felt more natural when I was singing than when I did the fashion show back home...

[ Maki shrugs, not actually sure how to put in words why it made more sense to her. Maybe it was just the music. Oh and look there's drinks here. Tall glasses with ice and little umbrella even. Fancy place. ]

Next time we'll just have to rehearse before hand so you're not nervous. [ There's a teasing tone in her voice, Maki giving the other girl a playful wink as she reaches for her drink. ...Avoiding looking at the waitress though. ]

... Yeah, not me. I can do some acting, but usually you, yanno, prepare for it. [Sighing approximately 4-5ever here.

... And at least there's the drinks. Yukari takes it, takes a sip, and wrinkles her nose. Oh well, it's wet and cold, and helps center her a little better.]

I wouldn't mind hat as much. I just am not... okay with the idea of making a total ass of myself.

[ Maki sips on her own drink, finding herself surprised at how sweet it is... but thinking little else of it. She does however turn to face Yukari more next to her. ]

You didn't at all. I think you really impressed a lot of people!But if you ever want to practice for a performance sometime I'm always available.

[Maki might be getting used to being mostly drunk. Yukari, on the other hand, hasn't had enough for the taste to dull.]

Y-yeah, I'll pass. I'm not really 'idol' material, like Risette or something. I'd rather just act.

... And maybe not like this.

[ Maki is just getting used to being this confident, which she really is feeling at the moment. Maybe it's just the after effects of a successful performance. Maybe it's being next to Yukari and spending time with a friend.

...Maybe it's the waitresses walking left and right past the VIP section with a bounce in their step. ]

Huh? Who's Risette? [ Maki sips her drink through the straw, blinking a few times over the rim at Yukari. ]

I mean, I'd prefer a more normal place to sing, but it was really fun being in front of a crowd! [ Maki somehow might have missed anyone yelling to take it off. ]

[Maybe it's all of the above, even if Yukari just wants to go back to the VIP room at this point and hide under the table like a dog running from thunder.]

She's an idol that's really been gaining popularity lately. She was even supposed to play near where we were living, but her show got canceled. Her solo and then... I think Kanamin Kitchen's gonna be real big some day, too. [Don't. Don't ask her to explain the lunch meat idols. Cuz that'd be hella uncomfortable since they exist as a criticism of the idol industry in general.]

... Yeah but this place is like... [See the bouncy waitresses? She motions in the vague direction of some of them without really looking] ... It's made for adult entertainment, yanno?

[ Weren't they back there already? If not Maki wouldn't be against finding someone quieter.

Huh. I guess I don't really know any professional idols at all. I only just really learned about school idols last year, and then we were working so hard I didn't get to listen to anyone else really other than who we were competing against.

[ Yeah sorry, that makes you the really embarrassing one here Yukari, if you're all about this idol business. Except-- ]

Nico-chan was the one who went crazy for all the different idols. I've never seen anyone with a bigger collection of useless items than her.

[ That's right "useless". ]

[She just! ... Has her taste in music. Sue her, she's a teenage girl that likes pop music.] W-well, it's not like I was hugely into it, I just... it's what's popular, so it's everywhere, so ya listen to it, right? [Unless you're stupidly sheltered and all you get to listen to otherwise is like. Classical.

... She could see Mitsuru being that way.]

You were the one that said you wanted to perform, though. [Seriously, Maki.]

[ Maki can understand it either way. She used to be elitist in her music, but now she's in love with idol music, and plans on learning more about it. Nico had started teaching her and getting her to listen to different idols too, it was just a slow process.

Classical music would still be her first love though. ]

I know what you mean. Everytime I walk around in Akiba there's new popular songs being played everywhere. It was a little strange when I started hearing our own songs though.

[ She's not trying to brag, Maki isn't like that. ]

I want to sing in front of a crowd not... s-strip...

That's gotta be interesting. Seeing yourself for the first time on TV... [Some day, Yukari will find out. But not now. She's not really taking it as bragging, she does have a bit of a curiosity about it, though.]

... In that case, I think ya could probably do better than here. Maybe a real night club.

It was really strange. We had just come back from America and all these girls rushed us at the airport.

[ Did she even have male fans? It doesn't seem so... ]

I think I'd like to stick to normal stages for concerts... [ Maki starts to grin though. ]

We'll have to work on your stage fright for our next performance though. You'll be a natural in no time.

Huh. [Must be interesting, being famous. For as much as she's a little curious about it... she also knows she would never be able to do it. Not as she is now. She has a few too many issues to work through before she's that comfortable. At all.]

... R-right. How about not at a place like this, though. I don't think either of us should be here in the first place, let alone performing.

[ Someday you'll be on the big stage too Yukari. Maki believes it! ]

H-Hey! You're the one who brought us here.

[ Maki can't help but twirl her hair, looking around at the bunnies. One winks at Maki and blows her a kiss... making the redhead quickly turn back to Yukari with her face red. ]

I mean, it's better than the alternative, right?

[Some day she will, but she has to work through a lot of shit first. A lot of shit. Enough shit to fundamentally change her Persona.] Yeah, when I thought it was just a club that I got free tickets to. [She will out-logic you, Maki.

... Right as Maki is embarrassed, and the reaction in turn causes Yukari to frown over at the wait staff, who flirt just as much, with much less success.]

... What, an actual strip club? Cuz what I wanted was a dance club.

[ Perhaps it's lucky Maki doesn't have such an easily seen metaphor for her personal change. ]

O-Oh. I meant... y-yeah. Well. [ Maki pokes at the glass in front of her, taking one last gulp, before she summons up all her courage.

She holds out her hand, her face a little red, but clearly enthusiastic. For her friend's sake. ]

We can still dance together! [ There's plenty of danceable music playing now, and in the VIP section it's not like they are surrounded by people or tits to any overwhelming degree. ]

[Possibly, but at the same time... it's awfully useful. Yukari has more been sipping on her drink, so she's not quite as tipsy. Not that there's not like a trillion and one hangups she has over any given item at any given time anyway, but that's neither here nor there.

So really, all she does is blink dumbly at Maki when she offers her hand, because if there is one impairment going on at this time, it's that Yukari has no idea... what she's after.]

W-wait, what do you mean, you didn't get enough up on stage? I am totally not getting back up there. [That's what she's focused on.]
