Who: Briggid and ??? Join her, intervene, watch and take notes?
When: Around the first week of the month
Where: Wealthy districts of Lasker
What: Briggid decides to play Robin Hood. Because that didn't result in a mutiny last time or anything.
Rating: PG
[Every night for the past week or so, Briggid has been out and about in the wealthy districts of Lasker. You might not recognize her, though. Not in the cheap, shabby clothes, the hooded jacket, or the actually quite good quality knife she's using to mug the wealthy, with that well-worn phrase: ]
Your money or your life.
[She wouldn't actually, mind. She's not that terrible. But she can't stand the thought of having let hundreds of refugees die in favor of a man who seems flagrantly awful. Being congratulated by the rich people she rescued makes her fingers itch, and she can't blame the poorer residents for glaring at her when she walks past. So she'll slake her frustration by taking from the rich and giving to the refugee charities. Not Ryder himself, nor the other VIPs with the vicious bodyguards, but certainly some of the VIPs from the train are going to have less money after this week.
So you're liable to find her either mugging someone or slinking off to a charity, or possibly, on her way back to the Hall of Glory after a long night of wealth redistribution.]
[ooc: RIGHTEOUS CAUSE OR NOT... Briggid's little enterprise here is liable to result in ill-feelings from VIPs and their underlings, possible higher taxes to make up for the money they're losing, and charities suspiciously investigating who this mystery mugger is. So you know. Happy times.]

Ah, s'that so?
[he inclines his head to the side slightly]
Are you sure the recipient of your gift will appreciate the means with which you obtained it? Or. . . do you plan on keeping that part a secret?

there's no Socrates]Watching to see who wins the debate? Get back to your mansions, or wherever it is you were going. [back to whathisface busybody.] Brilliant deduction. You shouldn't boast about charity, anyway.
[willing or not.]

Y'know, whether you intend to follow through or not, most people don't appreciate having their lives threatened.
[he narrows his gaze and studies this figure carefully. from a distance, of course]
I can appreciate a li'l bit of Robin Hooding, if that was your goal, but you're picking the wrong way to go about things, here.

You think I should roam the streets with a tin can asking for their donations, then? I don't know who or what Robin Hood is, but what people want to spare and what they can spare are two different things.

I was thinking of something a li'l more subtle than either mugging or begging, honestly. Something that won't cause an outbreak of fear and nasty rumors.
Pick pocketing, for instance.

That would get less attention. Make people less suspicious of the donations, too... [She's noticed getting a bit of the fisheye from some of the charities lately as the news of a mugger in the rich districts continues.
Too bad she never learned the skill from the army thief.] They'd still notice. But pickpocketing is quiet, normal crime.

[and she was right. pick pocketing is a quiet, normal crime]
Not that I would ever condone crime, of course. No matter what the reason.
[the way he says that is almost wryly sarcastic]
