[Hakuno is standing at the edge of a safe zone, like some mischievous child dancing at the edges of an irritated beasts cage. Or, well, maybe without the dancing; she seems more concerned with getting her hair under control. Her water gun is at her feet, all but forgotten for the moment as she stares uncertainly at her reflection in a nearby window. There are two hair ties pinched between her lips, and her hands are buried in thick, long, dark hair as she wavers between several different hairstyles.

She... she's literally spoiled for choice, is the problem. Back in the Moon Cell, she was incapable of modifying her appearance, even if she had the theoretical knowledge of how to do it. It's so weird, seeing herself like this.

She doesn't know which one to pick. Feel like lending a helping hand, so she can finally get started with her glorious water combat experience?]



two: law & order: dunyaland
Okay, so, we'll need a culprit, and some decoys...

[After a surprisingly popular impromptu ploy not too long ago, Hakuno has been given the green light for a full-blown mascot murder-mystery. More to the point, she's been given responsibility for plotting the whole thing out, which leaves her here in the break room, with her bunny head on the table next to her and her costume shoved down around her hips as she pulls faces at the collection of notes in front of her.

three: FADE IN: king 101, interior
[After everything, Hakuno has to take a minute to sit on her new Real Life Bed, in her new, shared(!), Real Life Room. She's had personal rooms in the Moon Cell that she shared with her Servant, but those were much sparser aside from what few accessories and decorations she could trade Taiga for. So far, all she has are her clothes, her bow, her quiver, the Gilgamesh figure that Gilgamesh himself forced upon her, a small toy lion she bought on a whim at Dunyaland, leaned up against the still-unsealed figure-box, and a tiny snow globe-esque cube she actually searched for.

Hakuno hugs her pillow to her chest, mindful not to disturb Francis Xavier, who is peacefully snoozing on her lap in a little, fluffy ball. Her hair is damp from a recent shower, with a towel draped around her neck to keep dripping and puddles to a minimum.]

This... is my home now.

[The words are quiet.

She's a soft-spoken girl to begin with, but her voice is even softer now, as if scared to actually voice the words. As if scared to take the chance and believe them.]

[THE BEST KIND OF BRAVE NEW WORLD.] The hobby rooms also have all the equipment I need with sewing and other things, so I do go use them quite often. That way, I do not have to disturb anyway with noise.

But yes, my inn, I employ natives to help me out. Because of the war effort, I have to try to remain here as well. So I remain living in the Hall of Glory for that purpose. Instead, since Gilgamesh's business is located in Caissa, I continue working there.

[She shrugs lightly as they head to a different quarter.] It isn't hard though. There are trains and airships to take me to those cities.

[Hakuno nods along, not stopping even when she latches onto one particular word.]

Airships...

[Sure, the only one she's ever been on was Gilgamesh's, but given that she directly associates that with her escape from deletion, she can't help but perk up. It won't be anything close to the same, but God, doesn't that just make it another new experience to try out? She shakes herself out of it.]

—um, what exactly do you and Gilgamesh do there? Interview people and then compare profiles?

[Airships!! Her curiosity has Vietnam perk up.]

You have never been? Then we must go on the Airy at least once! [Although they go on the Airy all the time, but as in for a vacation. Because it's like a cruise ship! None of these airships compare to airplanes back home, but that's not the point.

As for what they do--]

Well, that's what he mainly does. They submit profiles, and then they can inspect other profiles to see if they are interested in someone. Sometimes, Gilgamesh would help as well. He doesn't charge anyone unless they have a successful match.

The airships here are not the same as the airplanes back home. These take longer, for one.

[But she should half get it, considering they're in a way, in the future compared to Blanc.

Vietnam suddenly blinks as she sees her hand being taken. But why--OH.]

O-oh! It is difficult to stop him spending, but he listens! I usually have to remind myself to be gentle with him. [Wait what.]

No, I completely understand having the urge to commit violence when talking to him about money. I completely understand.

Goodness, what things do you want to do?

[She hasn't experienced a lot, but planes will have to wait just because they don't exactly exist here. Slower airships it is.

Also, Vietnam is beginning to feel a little sorry for Gilgamesh. But she's not sorry at all.]

H-He's...good...usually... [Trailing off before she sighs.] It's fine, I know big spenders big home, so it's not even new. [America, who used his own tax dollars to make his costume for halloween.]

Hakuno releases her hand, allowing her to keep going.]

Actually, we should make sure to get some glitter for his enemies, speaking of him.

[She waves her hand vaguely.] Broad, but the truth, no? There is much to learn and experience here.

[BUT...yeah okay no, guilty feeling is now gone.

She was happy that Hakuno supports her though. This only means Gilgamesh is probably going to get hit more. Alas. The same hand Hakuno held is going to be the very same that smacks him.]

Oh! What a good idea. Gold, I suppose. And red for blood.

And, for the record? Hakuno would feel flattered to have any part in knocking Gilgamesh down an infinitesimal fraction of a peg.]

Maybe we could use string or ribbon for the blood, so it doesn't get mixed up.

I... well, it's silly and a little vain, compared to the other stuff, but...

[She rubs at one cheek, flushign faintly.]

I... was thinking of getting my ears pierced. I was never enough of a wizard to properly change my avatar in the Moon Cell, so a real, permanent change still just seems so unreal. So, I figure I'll make it real.

[She shrugs, looking bashful.]

I guess I'm just used to things being theatrical when it comes to him.

[Vietnam doesn't even blink or look surprised. In fact, getting one's ears pierced is an unofficial custom for a Vietnamese girl! It usually happens right after they're born, where nurses ask the mothers are asked if they would like them to pierce their baby girls' ears. It ensures the least amount of pain for the little ones.

So Vietnam just lifts the longer sides of her bangs away from her ears to show Hakuno her own earrings, just small studs.] You should do so if you wish. To mark your body in such a way is up to you, and it will heal. On a more personal note, ear piercing is one of those body modifications that is important to me.

[She laughs quietly.]

He definitely isn't boring, that is for certain.

[Technically, Hakuno is 'newly born' in that she's got a body for the first time. Maybe it counts, just the same.]

Then, I think I definitely will.

[Hakuno pulls a face that looks like pure exasperation, but there's a quiet flicker of fondess in her eyes despite her best efforts.]

No, never boring. There's that saying about living in 'interesting times,' right?

Mm! I recommend going to a doctor, because sometimes their equipment is just a little bit better. [Sterile and all. Although, maybe they'll have to check around here first. Who knows if that counts.

She laughs again. Knowing full well that anyone who can endure Gilgamesh is usually attached to him in some way or form. She's unfortunately the same.]

There certainly is, and he sadly knows it. Although...do not tell him, though he probably already knows, but he has taught me a great many things, I am grateful.
