[ One might think that, once someone's become a parent, they give up their childish whims. They become dignified and adult, either out of a desire to be a good role model or the absence of anything remotely resembling free time. Especially as a... well, she's not a single parent, but Sarada was largely raised by her mother alone, so you'd think Sakura would have grown out of things like chucking water balloons at civilians.
And she did, kind of. That sort of prank was more Naruto's schtick, but while he was almost always the mastermind and instigator, Sakura used to play along, and motherhood had never truly taken that mischievous side away from her. Just because she's more serious than she used to be doesn't mean she's had her sense of humor surgically removed, and she's getting paid to do this. Why shouldn't she have a little fun with it?
"A little fun" for a ninja, though, involves treating it like war games, except with one of these pump-action water guns instead of the sharp steel she's used to. Driven into an alley to reload, her back to the wall and her wet hair sticking to her forehead and cheekbones, she looks up as another hero takes refuge in the same secluded spot, likely chased in there by the same herd of civilian teenagers that had ganged up on her. ]
They got you too, huh?
B - the one with the role reversal. (caissa, CLOSED to setsuna)
[ Later that day — much later — Sakura has relinquished her water gun in order to finally escape the chaos, mostly because she's been at it for hours without rest or food. Hardly a first for her, of course, but this is a street festival, not a literal war. She's soaked, of course, but even in the waning light of early evening it's warm enough that she's no longer dripping wet. She has her arms crossed to keep warm as the night cools, wandering among the multitude of food vendors, stopping occasionally to see what they're offering.
Not that she's that picky an eater, but man could she go for some dumplings right now... ]
C - the one with family trips. (dunyaland, CLOSED to sakuras & naruto & sasuke)
[ Naruto, as she expected, hadn't taken much convincing to come along. She knew Sasuke would be a harder sell, but when she went to his room, she hadn't expected Sakura-chan to open the door instead. Remembering the girl from one of her first days here, remembering sitting in the hall and consoling her in her homesickness and loneliness, Sakura doesn't even hesitate or think about it before she offers for her to come with them to Lasker.
As they walk through the sprawling amusement park, it oddly hadn't even occurred to Sakura that they might be mistaken for being blood related until she heard a passing couple remark that they make a sweet family. It takes her off guard, and she has a brief, sudden pang of homesickness herself. She misses her daughter.
Before anyone notices her pause (she hopes), Sakura distracts herself by pointing out the nearest attraction. ]
Oh, look, they have a haunted house.
D - in which there's detective work. (lasker, OPEN)
[ The flashing neon lighting reflects oddly on hair like Sakura's. She stands in front of the Double Duo arena, looking contemplative, but it doesn't look like she's going in there quite yet. Instead, she absent-mindedly flicks the corner of a playing card.
You do not find her, she finds you sounds like the sort of thing you'd say about someone in Sakura's profession — the profession she had at home, that is. It turns out to be true, and while the brief, cryptic meeting gives her another direction and a reason to be wary, it leaves her with a lot more questions than she went into it with. For example: ]
So what's Double Duo about? [ She says this to whatever hero happens to be nearby, or to herself, it's not really clear... ]

[ Quieting down for a second, Setsuna wonders how he could convey that he meant something else. He isn't someone good with words, so he has to think about how to say it. But before he could ask further, the local in-charge of his assigned stall is quick to notice their conversation and doesn't hesitate to urge Setsuna to continue with his job. The local visibly yells at him, "Young man! What are you doing? Offer the lady a seat!"
He looks back at the local for a moment, trying to signal that he already knows. It's just that he couldn't ignore her state, especially as the colder night is beginning to awaken. Though, he'll just continue his clarification after he seats her. To avoid more scoldings. ]
Would you be interested in Ma Jiang food? We have fried rice, noodle soups, dumplings, savory buns, among others.

I was just thinking I'd kill for some gyōza.
[ Which is true, but Sakura also partially agrees in order to get the manager off his back. ]

Gesturing towards a vacant seat, Setsuna leads the pink-haired woman towards it. Before he could speak any further, the shopkeep (who appears to be in his forties or so) overtakes him: "Welcome! What would you care to have, young lady?" While the two converse, Setsuna moves aside to pour complimentary tea for their newest customer. He works in the background for a moment, then returns to set a cup of herbal tea near her. ]

Instead she merely tells him her order, letting him shuffle off. Her smile is more genuine when Setsuna returns with the tea. ]
Thank you. I'm sorry he gave you a hard time.

[ Maybe if Setsuna is a little more assertive... But he didn't want to come across as pushy or rude. It's hard to find the right balance, trying to be loud enough to charm others without being obnoxious about it. He's not like that... He's always been bad with words, so that's another thing that holds him back apart from lack of experience. Though, he's doing what he can for the colle.
Can't survive in a world like this without working, after all. Setsuna didn't want to be picky... If there's a reasonable job in front of him, then he has little reason to turn against it. It could be worse, after all. Watching the young lady's happy expression relieves him though, but he has to wonder why she looks so satisfied. Maybe she was just really tired from the activities earlier and is glad to settle down.
Oh, speaking of... It's his chance to finally extend his original offer. ]
May I cast a spell on you?
[ It's probably okay, seeing that she's a fellow Hero. But he wanted to make sure. ]

[ It's alright, Setsuna, she can be assertive enough for the both of them. Sakura is possibly a little too assertive at times, so it balances out.
His question comes across a little oddly, though, and she blinks in surprise. ]
I guess that depends what it's for.
[ It could be a perfectly innocent thing, after all... but it could be something else entirely. He did ask, though, so that's a good sign. ]

Well, her concern is affecting him easily. A little shade of red crosses his face, wondering what he did to earn her thoughts for him. Or no, it couldn't have been him. She must really be a kind person. He gives a small, appreciative bow in response.
Afterwards, he's quick to realize that he probably could've said that better. ... Words really are difficult. But he has a chance to explain himself, so he won't back out from it. ]
Um... It is to dry your clothes.

Oh... in that case, I don't mind. That's very nice of you.
sorry for the wait!!
[ They're comrades, aren't they? Setsuna is only doing what is right. After all, since they're going to be fighting together, he needs to do his best to watch out for fellow Heroes. So once he's given permission, he begins to concentrate to start casting the mentioned spell.
Setsuna casts under his breath, whispering several words to himself before a gentle light appears before his hands. And soon enough, a warm wind will begin to engulf the young-looking woman. It's quite similar to the feeling of a comfortable hair dryer! Once he completes the spell, he lowers his hands and observes the results.
He wonders if it feels better now. ]
gathers you into my arms shh
That's incredible. [ Sakura's not being facetious, either. This is probably entirely possible where she comes from, but most jutsu are made for war, not mundane things like this. She smiles. ]
Thank you. What's your name?
too kind ;A; /// SQUEEZES YOU
Setsuna F. Seiei...
:*
I'm Sakura. Why don't you have some tea with me, Setsuna?
[ Who's taking care of who here?? She can't help but mother hen... ]

[ The same name as a certain someone... Though, Setsuna didn't get to think about it much. After Sakura sweetly offers, he gets a little embarrassed. He's the server, after all. He quietly looks over at the shopkeep, who is currently busy preparing meals for all the current customers. He would probably get nagged at again if he did that.
As if on cue, the shopkeep returns to them, setting down Sakura's delicious orders. And right after, the first thing the shopkeep does is stare at Setsuna: "What are you in a daze for?" ]
S, Sorry.
[ It's in that moment the other customers react consecutively: "What's the harm? Let the young man have a break!", "Seriously! He's still a Hero, you know?", "Having our Heroes peacefully bond together is a wonderful thing.", "Bond with all of us, you mean! Let's all have tea!" Laughter echoes throughout, before one of the customers pull the shopkeep away from Sakura and Setsuna. ]

When the shopkeep is ushered away, she gestures to the seat next to her. ] Sit.
[ It's sort of a suggestion and it's sort of not. After all that fuss, it seems the only logical thing to do. She doesn't want to bully him, but she's tired of seeing him be bullied by that man. ]
You don't have to let him treat you like that, you know.
