Who: Hux and whomever he runs into
When: May 25th-May 31st
Where: various places around Caissa
What: Hux failed his dungeon! So until the 27th, his personality has been totally swapped. From the 28th onward, he'll have to deal with the fallout.
Rating: PG at most? Maybe some swearing? Nothing too severe though.

MAY 25TH-27TH: [on these days, you'll find Hux in various places around town. He's...honestly a little unrecognizable. His clothes are very casual--loose pants and a comfortable shirt. His hair is in a similar state; not fussed with at all nor slicked back to perfection. He looks relaxed and generally pleased about life, if the way he's smiling and nodding at a shopkeeper in the market is any indication. Or, you could also find him in the park, doodling in a leather-bound notebook. He'll be sitting on a blanket with his back against a tree, just casually enjoying the weather and the lovely scenery around him. If neither of those appeal, than he is certainly hanging around the Hall of Glory. You can find him tucked up on the couch, reading a book with his socked feet crossed at the ankle and an orange tabby cat in his lap. Or at one of the tables in the mess, enjoying lunch. If he knows you, he might even wave! ....okay, no "might," if he knows you, he definitely just waved to you. And smiled. That's a thing that just happened.]

MAY 28TH-31ST: [In contrast to the previous days, Hux has been looking particularly murderous. Subtly. Subtly murderous. But not so subtle that it's not very clear that he has no interest in talking about the past several days. He can now be found in a couple different places around Caissa. The first of these is the Hall of Glory library. He's been spending quite a bit of time there, definitely not hiding behind a couple stacks of books. If you spot him out there, you'll find him engrossed in whatever text is in front of him, writing furiously in a leather-bound notebook. Another spot might be in one of the spare hobby rooms. In such a place, he'll have several ingredients laid out on the table, as well as that same leather-bound notebook. He'll be combining some of those ingredients, and it also looks like he's got some vials of...something...already made up. What is it? Who knows. Finally, he can be found in the court yard. He's standing in front of those dummies, conjuring up small bits of magic and hurling them at the dummies with varying accuracy. The ice magic he creates seems to be the most effective.]

[She spots him while he was shopping, looking quite happy with himself, making the shopkeepers happy--

You know, this is the creepiest thing she's ever seen.

Nonetheless, she makes her approach, so that she can just check on him. Maybe he's ill.]

[Hux turns as he hears his name, blinking a bit in surprise--before he smiles widely once he realizes who it is] Vietnam! [brightly, like he's just so happy to see her] How lovely to see you! [brace yourself, because this is, yes, a hug. It's not a long one, but it definitely is one before he's pulling back, hands on her shoulders, beaming down at her] How lovely to see you! How have you been?

HOLY HECK.

[Vietnam suddenly stiffens upon contact, not because this is bold contact, but because this is General Hux. She enjoys his company, yes, but he never struck her as someone who would be all "How lovely to see you! And also hugging her.]

A-ah, I have been good! [She honestly does not know what to say.] H-how have you been?

[Or more like: Are you alright?!]

[Hux releases her then,beaming] I've been quite well, thank you! The dungeon was a bit of a doozy, but that's quite finished now, fortunately. [he briefly turns back to the shopkeeper] I'll take the pot, please--[it appears he's buying....a small pot. Like for a plant. Anyway, back to Vietnam] I was just asking a stroll around the market. Would you like to join me?

[That dungeon, somehow she has a bad feeling about this when he mentioned dungeon.] I see...well, I was fortunate enough to complete it! [What is wrong with him? Not that she could refuse such a request.] I will come with you, of course.

[Phasma finds him on the couch. She's all sunshine and rainbows, wearing a colorful sundress, with her short hair primped and teased to wavy perfection. She's wearing makeup (she'd had to go buy some, and that had been a wholly enjoyable experience).]

[She sits down on the couch next to Hux and looks at his book with interest.]

[Hux beams as she sits, shifting so he can sidle up against her side, tucking his socked toes behind him] Just a book I pulled from the library. I thought I should get more into alchemy! It seems fascinating.

I can imagine you'd be good at it. [She lets him nestle in next to her, and puts her arm over the back of the couch behind him.]

You think so? [he turns his head to glance up at her]

[She looks down at him and ruffles his hair.]

Of course. You're intelligent and discerning, I don't doubt you could pick up anything you put your mind to.

[ Well this was somewhat unexpected! In all the times that Lux had interacted with Hux, he was very measured with his appearance, reminding her of commanders back home. Uptight. Perhaps a bit too tightly bound. Seeing him sitting there reading, a cat resting in his lap felt a bit unexpected.

The wave, well. Pardon her awkward wave back. Perhaps it was true what they said, a soldier could really change out of uniform. Not that it was a bad change! She rather liked it, in fact. ]

[ A polite smile, and a slight tilt of her head as she attempted to read the cover of his book. ]

Oh, I'm not sure that I've read that one. Is it any good?

Good afternoon, Lux! It's good to see you. [his beaming smile should show how honest he's being!!! He's is, in fact, quite happy to see her.]

Oh, this? I suppose it's alright. [he hums] There seems to be some stuff missing, I think, but it's a good foundation for alchemy.

[ Seeing him so chipper was refreshing, even if it was a bit... unusual? Maybe? Truthfully, she didn't know the man well, but he didn't seem the type. Her smile eases as he speaks, visibly brightening. It was nice to see him smiling so easily. ]

I had no idea that you had an interest in alchemy.

Oh, yes! I've had an interest in it since my arrival. We have something similar, I think, in my galaxy, though this is far more extensive and more magic based than I've ever heard of before. [he motions for her to sit, if she'd like] Do you have an interest in it?

[ Well who was she to say no? Taking a seat next to the General, she peeks over at the book. ]

Not a personal interest, per se, but I always like to learn about new things, no matter what they happen to be about.

29th

[ It's necessary to inspect what kind of items were available to make things to make things. So Chloe has been visiting all the hobby rooms to find out what there was that he could use to make things.

And since he is pretending to be a social person (and since he is not the least intimidated by any kind of irritated auras) and is also a little curious he approaches with a polite smile on his face. ]

May I ask what you are making?

[Hux glances up, briefly, as another person enters the room. After that, however, he doesn't look up from his work] I am working to improve on a freezing potion.

Freezing potion? [ How curious. ] What is it meant to freeze? [ People from the inside out? ]

Whatever happens to be attacking at the time, I should hope. [Drlyly, one of his fingers dragging down the page of the tome in front of him before he straightens, reaching for a bowl of what looks like dried leaves]

Hmm. [ He hides that he is actually keeping close attention to what the other man does, yet doesn't hide his interest. ] Is it meant to be thrown at the intended target, then?

The 25th, which can only end in tears

[There from the corner of his eyes, he thought he saw someone waving at him. Why, what a pleasant surprise to see it was General Hux himself! While he was not in the park to enjoy the plants, he always had time to see a good friend. He smiled and waved back at him, but that was not all. Rory approached him with his arms ready for a bro hug.]

Huxy, good to see you! Would you look at that, you look better than ever. That's fantastic.

[Hux pushes to his feet as Rory gets closer, wrapping him in a tight hug] Rory! It's lovely to see you. [he pulls back, keeping hands on his shoulders, beaming] As ever, you flatter me. You look well, also! [and with that, he drops his arms, motioning to the place where he was sitting, and where he's left his notebook] Do you have a moment to sit?

[As Hux pulled him in for a hug, he patted him firmly on the back.]

For you, I've all the time in the world. What's that you got there? [He tipped his chin to the notebook.]

[Sitting on the blanket and cradling the back of his head with his hands, he could not be more relaxed.]

Oh, this? [Hux shifted to make a little more room for Rory on the blanket. He'd hate for his friend to be uncomfortable, after al!] Nothing much. I just enjoy sketching in my spare time. It was one of the few extracurricular activities allowed at the academy.
