[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

We've become... acquaintances. [ Maki is scared to say friends. Because she considers Saber a friend, after all they can work together and study together and eat together and aside from a few... things, it's relatively normal!

Around Nobunaga, Maki always feels like she's on the defensive one way or another. ]

I guess if she could really be the Oda we learned about in history class... then... [ She stares again for a long time at Saber, this time managing not to look down. ]

...you're really King Arthur? L-Like with Excalibur and everything?

I see. That is good to hear. Sometimes... She can be a little overwhelming. [ An understatement, but she wants to paint Nobunaga is a good light somewhat. Just so the girl can make friends despite her blunt attitude. ]

Yes. However, I was not allowed to bring Excalibur with me, it seems. [ A frown and obvious disappointment. That sword held everything she believed in. ]

It isn't that much of a hindrance...

[ So Oda and King Arthur are friends? The idea is strange for Maki to even imagine, especially given both historical figures now in her mind are women. Surprisingly... handsome women, if Maki were able to be honest with herself. ]

I-I guess no one was able to bring anything of theirs from home. [ Not that Maki had a legendary weapon herself from back home, but she did talk to others who had the same problem as Saber, so she understands that much. ]

B-But, you're royalty! Arthur....sama... [ She tries that out, trying to be formal even though Saber just got done explaining she didn't have to be. And yet here Maki is blushing and hiding her face as she looks at the reflection of the moon on the surface of the water. ]

[ ...They are acquaintances. Acquaintances. Acquaintances. Saber is definitely a handsome woman though. She only nods since she hasn't heard anything about people bring things from their world back.

And so the royalty thing begins. Saber's not sure how many time she goes through this, but the reaction is a little new in a way. ]

You may still call me Saber. Even Artoria, if you would like. [ It doesn't matter to her, really. ]

[ ....Okay, Maki understands that. They are both just definitely not friends and only acquaintances with Nobunaga. Definitely nothing else going on there.

Maki only wants to be proper, she's a polite girl from a rich family who had never been corrupted into speaking with others casually like SOME people. So when she finds out someone is clearly from a position of respect, out comes the keigo. ]

Artoria. [ How could someone not care about what their called?! Maki still is forever thankful that the only nickname she's gained is "Makki". Though right now this is the place for Maki to tell Saber just call her by her first name too but... she's already been doing that! ]

...I never thought I'd meet a real King before.

[ Saber appreciates her politeness, which is why she rewards her with this privilege. Likewise, she doesn't want Maki to be tense around her... Saber's downfall has been being too distant from others, so she's trying to amend that. ]

Is that so? [ While it is unlikely... ] Fate has a strange sense of humor.

[ Another thing Maki understands all too well. Her propensity for distancing herself from others was only fixed recently, thanks to the help of eight other girls who helped her open up. ]

A-Another one? [ Her eyes open a little wider, having not heard that, finding herself more and more surprised at the types of people summoned here. Which makes her wonder... ]

I still don't understand, if they could find kings and warlords and legendary heroes.. why would they bring me here?

[ She's just an idol after all, even if she didn't think about herself being too young for fighting (there are plenty here her age) there's still the fact that she wasn't ready. ]

[ She actually doesn't know... What Maki brings up is actually a good point. If these gods can summon the most legendary of figures, then why bring children to the war? It's a little nerve-racking, but she's used to war needing more recruits. ]

I imagine everyone has their purpose. [ It's the only thing she can think of. ] Perhaps there something you can offer to the military that others can't.

[ To make, the differences between her and the other people here, people like Saber (despite their similarities in builds (which is really easy to see right now...)), are clear. She's an idol, a future doctor but definitely not one currently. She barely can hold her weapon in combat without shaking still. Surely in the entire universe there has to be a medic who's more adept than she is. And yet, despite everything, she's still here. ]

I-I can sing, I guess, and write music. I thought those were my best skills for a long time, that's why I tried to learn magic! But it seems like everyone else already knows it and I'm always a step behind.

Sometimes we must all step out of our comfort zones, Maki. We also all learn at a different pace. [ Which she's trying to say doesn't mean she's any worse than others. ]

Though another thought--maybe you could hold a concert to lift people's spirits after a great battle as well. Similar to the one hosted in Palamede.

[ She stares strongly at Saber, meeting the other girl's eyes for a long moment of indecision... before she quickly looks away, embarrassed, but about what? She tries to ignore it though, and respond to the change in topic. ]

People have said that before but... it's not as easy without any support...

[ She thought performers merely performed if they have the resources and assets. She looks a little confused, but it's probably because she has no idea what entertaining entails. She has always been an audience, never the entertainer. ]

Yeah, like someone to do costumes, lighting, music cues, introductions... it's not a one person job.

[ She could do the performing by herself, but everything else takes a team. A team that Maki misses more than anything. ]
