What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.





[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[ This particular spring not only isn't empty, however, but is occupied by one nearly-asleep dragon. The sound of someone entering the spring startles him back to full-consciousness, sending small waves in Sasuke's direction. They weren't kidding when they said the springs were criminally relaxing. He relaxes when he sees it's simply another Hero, however. Not one he's seen before, but far from an unknown creature or monster. ]

Ah, hello. I'm afraid that as far as privacy, this is as good as it's going to get. [ This was a popular place to be right now, apparently. ]

[ Clenching his jaw against the stiffness in his muscles and the sting of hot water against scrapes and cuts, Sasuke doesn't bother glancing over at his spring's company until he's settled and seated properly. Only then does he look across at the man through the dark of his bangs. ]

I'm not concerned. [ He can count on one hand the number of times he'd been in a hot spring by himself. Easing himself back against the wall of the spring, he sits for a moment before sinking lower, up to his throat, exhaling through his nose. ]

[flirtations]

[ Jae-ha gives the stranger a friendly smile. They're here to relax, first and foremost, and so he stays quiet initially. For a long moment, he looks as if he might doze off again, and then he speaks. ]

You're lucky, to not be forced to wear a swimsuit. [ He wasn't so lucky, so he's forced to sit here in an unfamiliar garment. ] I've never seen you before, what's your name?

[penitents]

[ Someone would need to have some serious luck, patience, or be highly regarded in Sasuke's book to be able to force him into doing anything, so when he opens his eyes to look across at the guy again it's with a certain degree of aloof disbelief. ]

Sasuke. Why did you agree to it?

[flirtations]

Oh, well, I didn’t have much of a choice. Those who have ranked up to rooks gain special gravity powers, and it’s nearly impossible to escape their grasp once they’ve gotten ahold of you.

[ He gives the newcomer a light smile. ] I’m Jae-ha, by the way.

[penitents]

[ Sasuke raises both eyebrows. He isn't entirely sure how the ability must work, if it forces him to wear a swimsuit. Since it doesn't make much sense to him Sasuke assumes there's another side to the story that Jae-ha isn't telling him— but he doesn't press. Instead, he rewinds back to the part of what the man said which does interest him. ]

I've heard about that: ranking up. I don't understand it.

[flirtations]

Despite having gone through it myself, I wouldn't say I understand it, either. One day you just wake up, with powers you didn't have before.

[ Despite losing ones that you did have before. It was frustrating and bizarre. ]

You feel better in general; not as weak and out of tune with the world around you. I hope you haven't been having trouble adjusting to the whole concept of "mana", by the way.
