What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.





[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[He had felt a moment of hesitation, but a little encouragement was all he needed. Regardless of the fact that he failed the dungeon, he had been working his ass off and now, he deserved some fun and relaxation.]

Well what're we waiting for? Come on, please, I'm dying here!

[He followed closely after him, nearly tumbling over the last remaining pieces of his own clothing. He returned the grip that he had on him, ready to embark on this new journey to get drunk.]

[He laughs at that and is out of his clothes just as fast so they can walk like old friends straight into the water. It's there he pours them both a cup and takes a long sip of his.]

Ahhhhh! That's so much better! I hate being sober!

[It's really the worst feeling!]

[He laughed.] Never be me. I've been sober my entire life.

[Of course, he planned to change that now. He sank into the water with a hearty sigh. It stung in the places where he had cuts and abrasions from the dungeon, but overall it was heaven for his tired muscles. He raised his cup to his acquaintance and new best friend.]

Sláinte mhaith, my friend… Ah, excuse me, but what's your name?

[As he waited for a name, he put the cup to his lips and took a sip. He lasted for all of around a second before he spat it back out. Strange, he knew it would taste bad for him, but it seemed more difficult than ever to endure it long enough to consume it.

He wiped his hand over his lips and his face turned red from embarrassment.]

Sorry.

[That's an interesting reaction to alcohol! Especially for someone so eager to have it!]

Do you not drink that much?

[Jirou had been sure this was someone with experience.]

[It was entirely possible that he did not think this through. In fact, he was sure he did not think this through. He had plenty of enthusiasm, but none of the resolve. He spun the cup around in his hands.]

I drink! [He did not sound convincing.] …I tried to.

[He looked at the cup as a dog would look at a juicy steak it could not eat. At least his sense of smell was intact. He breathed in the aroma, trying to imagine what it must actually taste like.]

But forget that, you still haven't told me your name. I'm Rory.

[He is wondering why he can't drink for all of a few seconds before the question distracts him.]

I am the pretty oodachi known as Jiroutachi!

[Distraction complete. He leans in close to Rory.]

You sure you're okay? Can you drink?

[The distraction succeeded, but unfortunately, only for a moment. He leaned away as a precaution. For all he knew, Jiroutachi may be able to smell lies.]

I'm fine, really, it's… I'm not used to this type.

[Quickly, changing the subject:] I get the pretty, but what does oodachi mean?

[Still not touching that alcohol. Nope.]

[So soooomeone can't really drink. He wonders why that is but can't say it matters much to him whatever the case is.]

It means that I'm a very big sword. Veeery big actually!

[He reaches over and gently pokes his cheek.]

If you can't drink you just have to say so and I'll drink it for you!

Clearly a man.

…He looked down, just a quick glance.

His face turned red, though it had nothing to do with this possibly lewd statement, and everything to do with the fact that Jiroutachi easily saw through his lies. Not only was it embarrassing to admit he was not strong enough to drink, it was also terribly rude to refuse after accepting his generous offer. At least his new friend did not seem upset by this.

He sighed and offered the cup back.] I'm sorry I can't drink it, please take it.

No need to apologize! I got this!

[He happily tosses the drink back. It's a delicious treat to him and he hums happily before setting the second cup aside so that way he can nurse that first one. Nothing like alcohol and a nice hot spring.]

You're cute when you blush, by the way.

[Watching Jiroutachi drink with such ease made him jealous, which made it even more awkward when he got a compliment. Cute was not a word anyone had used to describe him since childhood. He laughed simply because he had no other response to that.]

Thanks. You're looking good yourself.

[Well drunk or not, he could still enjoy the hot springs. He leaned back and let the water come up to his neck.]

You really know how to toss one back. You drink like this all the time or just celebrating?

Thank you! And I'm a drunk so I always drink like this!

[He laughs happily like that's just the best thing ever to share with someone. Then again, why wouldn't it be! He loves being drunk!]

So what do you really like to do since you can't seem to drink?

[Such honesty! He laughed as well, finding his happiness infectious. He was not responsible for Jiroutachi, so why should he care how much he drank?]

Hey now, I can't drink, but I make the best brews. Like Beethoven, except with beer.

[He wiped the hair away from his face and thought. While he knew he had enjoyed gardening, brewing beers and cooking for his family, none of that appealed to him now. It just seemed like a waste of time. When faced with this stark change, he just shrugged.]

I really like this hot spring. Wish I could stay here forever.

Oh! I would like to try some sometime! I don't usually go for beer but I'd be willing to give it a taste anyway.

[Adorable person and some alcohol too? Sure why not? Jiroutachi might not be a beer fan usually but he's willing to make exceptions if he's motivated enough.]

It is a nice spring. You can do things like scrub backs or just soak or whatever you like really. I guess it depends on who you're with.

I can barely feel my own arms, let alone scrub anyone's back.

[That was asking for far too much effort than he was willing to give right now. Soaking in the soothing heat was more than enough.]

Sure, I could make some for you, but what'd be in it for me?

[That's not a joke. He will totally makeout with people for booze without question.]

[Was he serious? He looked serious. Rory laughed so hard he clutched his stomach. When it was over, he wiped the tears away from his eyes.]

Oh that's good. Heh, hehe. Between you and that King guy, funniest thing I've heard in years.

[He sighed and reached to pat Jiroutachi on the back.]

Tell you what, that was so good, I'd say that's worth a beer.

[He blinks at the laughter. Tilting his head, he wonders what was so funny about saying he'd kiss for alcohol but perhaps that's humorous where Rory is from.]

So is that a yes to the kisses?

[JUST CHECKING. HE IS NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED HERE.]

[He shook his head.]

Forget that, I'll make you a beer anyway. No kisses needed.

[The laughs were a decent price for it. This had been the funniest day in years. He could not remember the last time he laughed so much.]

[Well that works out nicely! Jiroutachi smiles then leans over to give him a kiss on the cheek anyway!]
