[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[ How standoffish. How cold. In a ways, she was reminded of someone very familiar - yet she couldn't remember who. ]

[She shivered, despite herself. That attitude felt...far too familiar. In another body, with different gestures...

No. That couldn't be. That couldn't be possible. Her eyes narrowed, and her chin lifted, becoming as cold as ever.]

So I see you have been doing. But not pleasures should be taken in. One can only handle so much.

[Her golden eyes are piercing. Judging. So much like a man she had never met.]

Spoken like a true executor of the church. Even that troublesome priest Kotomine would find it difficult to fault your commitments.

[ She puts on a great show of yawning, making the effort to look bored. Irisviel remembers dying to Kirei, she remembers the other failed homunculi and she remembers being swallowed by the black ichor of something. All she could tell was it was evil, All The World Evil. And though her personality has been preserved since coming here, there is some part of her that is still touched by that.

And occasionally manifests when given the opportunity, such as when her team spectacularly failed that mission. ]

[Her voice is cold, unyielding. She knew what her father had been once, and it displeases her, even as she stares at Irisviel. She knew what she was supposed to be, what she called herself.]

But you are not just that. You...are tainted.

[ That's one way of putting it. She was, wasn't she? Even if the dominant "Irisviel" wasn't aware of it. ]

You mean by that which overflows from the grail? I suppose.

[ It's by this point that Irisviel completely throws off the towel that's covering her and stands up so that Caren can see... well, everything. ]

Could you call this lovely thing tainted?

You suppose? More like you are.

[Her voice is flat, unyielding, even as she takes in the sight of her body. Goodness, they really did know how to make a beautiful woman, didn't they? It was like a honeyed, poison trap though.

Much like herself.

Her eyes flicked to Irisviel's face.]

And I would. I most certainly would. And I have no ability to cleanse you, even if you wished for it.

[ Jubstacheit von Einzbern had a very good pattern to follow, it had to be said. Irisviel extends her hands and smiles, looking Caren straight on. She had nothing to hide and it showed. ]

Is that what they teach you in that church of yours? To pity what you don't understand?

[Don't fix what isn't broken, that's true. But...ah. What is this woman doing? Suspicious, Caren steps forward. Another step. What was she planning to do...?]

No. It's to forgive.

[Her smile is cold, even as she steps into the reach of Irisviel's hands.]

[ She pulls Caren into what seems like a tender embrace, holding the other woman close to her chest. It's in no way malevolent, but there's a sensation there which would make anyone ill at ease - like being in the embrace of a particularly venomous spider. ]

You are a strange child. From where did you come from?

[It feels tender, gentle even as they're brought close together. Caren't carrier, once forgotten, hisses softly, displeased with the course of events. But he does not strike.

Because Caren, staring into those deadly blood red eyes, does nothing.]

Where do all children come from? There, I suppose.

[ A girlish, high pitched giggle from Irisviel as she doesn't let go just yet. ]

I have a daughter myself, you know.

[ And her eyes flick to the snake on the ground, then back to Caren. ]

She has long white hair, like you do. Milky white skin, like you do.

[ Irisviel's voice is but barely a whisper in Caren's ear. ]

I hope she'll be just as robust as you in the future.

Robust as I?

[She can't help it; she laughs softly. It was really only the limits of this world that established her as healthy as she was becoming. Or was. Who knew.]

I think you would do better to wish other things for your beloved daughter.

[Her voice softens to a deadly caress.]

I'd hate for a daughter to suffer for her parent's sins.
