What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.





[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[ He got dragged here, okay! Hop off him!

Adra has his back to Bolin when he hears the other man call out to him. He sweeps his long hair over one shoulder as he turns, smiling. It's all right with this one: he's already seen Adra without a shirt, for one, and for two, Adra trusts him. He'd realized that after their little picnic together. So he's not flustered, really, and certainly not upset. ]

Ah, you found me.

[ He glances beyond Bolin, towards the other pools, most of which now boast a rapidly increasing population. ]

Though I guess I didn't hide as well as I thought I did.

[sediments]

[ Not hearing any shouts of embarrassment or frantic movements through the water, Bolin lifts his gaze, eyes alight with the enthusiasm and contentment that he usually has when he sees his friend. His gaze snags on the tattoos again, despite having seen them before, noticing how they shift in the mist. It makes Bolin think of fire and warmth, which he'd always associated with his home.

He relaxes. ]

Were you hiding from me? [ He raises an eyebrow, walking to the edge of the water to sit down. ] Are we playing a game?

[ And while he admires Adra's tattoos, he notices something else as well, continuing to talk without letting the other man get a word in. As per the usual. ]

Hey, have you beefed up? Training's paying off, huh!

[hymnals]

[ For some reason, Adra feels like blushing ... and he does, a little. The tips of his ears turn red, and there's a slight flush creeping up his neck, too. ]

If we are, then you've won, because I have no idea.

[ He glances at his arm, which does have noticeably more substance to it than when he first arrived, and that flush deepens. ]

Training is--it's helpful. I managed the dungeon because of it.

[ It's unusual enough for someone to be embarrassed over something that Bolin has said that the earthbender can't help but preen a little, feeling smooth and slick.

Nonetheless, any attempt that he'd made at being suave fades into a genuine smile as he crouches down by the water's edge them, dipping his legs into the water and wiggling his toes, enjoying the feeling of warmth. ]

Heh, that's good! It's always pretty sweet to see the results of your hard work. [ He nods carefully. ] It's been tough, but you've stuck it through.

[hymnals]

[ He mutters, shaking his head. ]

I still have a long way to go. That dungeon was ... rough.

[ He rubs the side of his face. ]

Three of us, one grappling hook, and no gravity magic.

[sediments]

[ Bolin can feel the fatigue as Adra says that, and his expression becomes equal parts sympathetic and dismayed. ]

Yeah, that was us too. Sakura actually fell before Kija managed to catch her with his giant hand.

[ He shakes his head, sinking further into the water. ]

Really makes you face just how little you can do sometimes.

[hymnals]

[ He's exhausted, all right, and not just physically. He watches as Bolin slips more into the hot spring, and he paddles a bit closer. ]

Thank the Light. I don't know what they were thinking, sending us in there with so few supplies.

[ He scowls. ]

In my case, I had to face how much I was once able to do. If I had all my magic, I could have levitated the lot of us up that tower without breaking a sweat.

[sediments]

[ Adra's scowl is a familiar sight, and Bolin quirks a smile at how easy the other man is to rile up. He likes it, the way he likes Korra's explosive anger; the sight of her crashing into meetings and institutions demanding attention and change. That kind of zeal gives him a bit of hope.

He doesn't want to ponder the limits of his own strength, so he cracks a joke: ]

I probably would've appreciated that too. Can I file a complaint with the Blanc government?

[ He casts his friend an easy grin. ]

[ He is definitely getting riled up. He makes a serious of agitated hand gestures as he goes on, and the water around him starts to heat up, its temperature rising in time with the volume of his voice. ]

Oh, I've tried! Back after that horrible attack on Palamede, that ambush they knew about and did nothing to prevent! I spoke to Verdoni--or I attempted to, anyway. He was churlish, and hardly forthcoming.

[sediments]

[ That escalated. But Bolin just offers Adra a sympathetic look, eyebrows drawing in together. ]

I wonder what they were thinking... it doesn't make a lot of sense. I mean, they want to protect this place, don't they?

[ Bolin doesn't have the slightest inclination about how politics work, he's barely managed to wrap his head around the logic of Kuvira's army. ]
