What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.

[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[ What's with that reaction...!

Well, no. Setsuna can understand why Bolin would react that way. He's aware that he comes across as too stiff or too serious, but he doesn't mean to do so... It's just that he's adjusted to mostly carry himself that way. Still, of course he knows how to relax when given the chance. ]

I was... just really hungry.

[ He picks up the hot container of potato fries, then offers it to Bolin's direction. An indication that he can have some if he wants any. ]

[ There's a moment's hesitation before Bolin reaches forward and takes one fried potato. He actually has no idea what it is, but he's not about to turn down an offering of food. ]

Why didn't you just eat before you ca— [ me in here, is what Bolin would've said. Because he doesn't see the point in risking toppling your food into a hot spring when one could just eat and then relax in the hot water with a full belly.

He doesn't get to say this however, instead his starstruck eyes focus on the half eaten fried potato in his grasp. ]

Whoa, this is really good! What is it?

To save time. Also, I was too tired...

[ Setsuna wanted to immediately settle down and release the tension from his muscles. But he's famished after the long climb, so it wouldn't be good to ignore it. He might as well do both. It's not like he's a particularly clumsy person, and he prefers to keep to himself...

This area was only occupied by him before Bolin came along. It's nice to see his comrade like the food though, so he sets it where the other Hero could easily reach for more. ]

Fried potatoes. They were recommended by a Gresser native; they seem to be proud of their local crops.

You're kind of weird. [ Bolin says thoughtlessly as he reaches for another french fry that Setsuna has generously offered him. ] I'm glad you're doing well though—that climb from yesterday was long!

[ He hadn't seen any issue with carrying both Sakura and Kija at first, but near the end of the climb, after having his arms assaulted by the ocypete, it had definitely depleted his energy.

Drawn to the comfort that the warm spring no doubt provides, the earthbender lets himself sink in with a sigh. ]

This is a nice reward...

[ Weird... Yeah, Setsuna knows that too clearly. For a moment, he looks at his own reflection against the spring waters. As the steam roams through the area, misting it, his own soulless expression disappears through existence. He will always be like this, so he doesn't particularly feel anything about it. It's easier for others to realize that about him.

His eyes move up eventually, staring at the beautiful horizon that spreads across the world. It's almost hard to believe that this area used to be filled with hostiles... Now, there's nothing but serenity. Birds can be heard in the distance, and the wind is blushing so gently. Resting against these waters with such respite, anyone would probably fall asleep. ]

Thank you. ... I am glad that you are safe as well.

[ Setsuna silently agrees at the latest comment, merely shifting himself to lean against the large rock as he continues to have his meal. ]

It has been a while. Congratulations on your promotion...

[ He heard about it, of course. From what he recalls, Bolin is now a Queen. ]

[ Setsuna is too cute; all soft spoken and careful displays of concern. It's enough to get Bolin's heart to warm, reaching out to pat the other man on the head, still completely unaware that he's the younger of the pair. What is age but a number anyway, and the fact is that Setsuna's kind of comforting to be around.

He even gets the normally high tension Bolin to simmer down with a relaxed smile. ]

Thanks! It was kind of unexpected. [ He winces a little before his expression smoothens out with a sigh, head lolling to the side to look at the other man. ] What do you think of magic?

[ The head pat comes unexpected, highly unexpected, especially after being called weird. It easily causes Setsuna to lift his head in surprise, feeling his cheeks burn almost immediately. What was that for? It's not that he doesn't appreciate it, he does...

It... felt nice. But what was it for? Setsuna doesn't know what Bolin is thinking of, so it does feel out of the blue for him. Then, he's greeted by that wonderful smile... He too ends up calming a little to see it, further distracted when the next question is posed at him. ]

Ah...

[ Magic... Because Bolin is a Queen, right? From Setsuna's limited knowledge, it must be that Bolin is trying to know more about his Rank. He's heard that the Queen is the most powerful of all when it comes to offensive magic. The complete opposite of the Knight, which is the weakest in that aspect. ]

What I think... Well, it is convenient. But I am still not quite used to casting magic to get mundane tasks done.

[ Who ever heard of using water magic to do laundry? Not Setsuna or his world. ]

[ Damn, that's a cute blush. Bolin doesn't have a camera, but if he did, he would've taken a picture. Nothing makes him happier than good company, and the earthbender is always excited by the accomplishments and strengths of his friends. He'll happily talk about the work that Asami has done for her company, or the ways in which Korra's changed society for the better.

So he thinks Setsuna's kind of cute, and that kind of thing should be shared. Sort of like a parent showing off their child. ]

I dunno about mundane tasks. [ They're talking about magic though, and Bolin sinks into the water, gaze pointed up as he thinks about magic and trying to get it to work. It's not like trying to tame an unruly element, moving streams of lava and pushing them as required. ] It's kind of a stationary way to fight though? Isn't that weird?

[ For someone that's used to being light on their feet. It makes him nervous to stick around one spot too long. ]

[ Oh, right. Queens especially have to deal with staying still in battle... It must be difficult. Setsuna has to agree, so he nods a little. ]

Convenient for mundane tasks, but challenging otherwise. I admire the Queens for being able to fight well despite their restricted conditions.

[ He's not sure if he'll be able to do something like that. The fighting style he's always been used to requires a lot of movement and offensive charges... Come to think of it, maybe that's why he became a Knight. ]

Seeing as you have cleared a dungeon despite that, you must be adjusting well.

Um.

[ He looks a little uncertain about that, he hadn't used much magic at all in the dungeon. The monsters had been quick and fast in the air, he hadn't had time to concentrate enough to start slinging spells at them; too busy throwing his weight around.

It feels so useless and frustrating. ]

I think I was doing better with my new weapon than my new rank, to be honest. [ He shrugs, staring into the water. ] Are you enjoying your power up?

[quaria]

[ Aw, poor Bolin... ]

That is unfortunate, I am sorry to hear of it. Have you considered consulting with the other Queens? And if you would like training partners at any time, I am willing to aid you as I have offered before.

[ Bolin has his support for sure; Setsuna declared this back when they spoke to each other after the Narcissa Expo incident. Maybe Bolin will be able to get more used to it after constant sparring or so. ]

And it has been startling at first, for me. My eyes and senses had to readjust to what I see and feel. After having them muted for several months, it was a little surprising to have them strongly come back... I am still constantly figuring out my other abilities, but it is certainly progressing.

[ It isn't hard to see that Setsuna is diligent with training, so that's one factor of why he's learning well. ]
