[Open] It's getting hot in here

Who: Caren and anyone visiting the hot springs!
When: Post dungeon, could be right after fail/success, could be days after
Where: Hot Springs of course
What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.

[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[Finishing the drink in his cup, he sighs. Noble, hm? He's not too sure about that because he doesn't really think much on all of that. He's a sword of the heavens but often spends his time drunk rather than pious.

A noble sword.

He turns his head and presses a kiss to his cheek.]

There. A thank you for that.

...

-There was a long lapse of reaction from Kasen as he sat there and processed what happened. Part of him remembered the drunken carrier-call from the other night, but had mostly dismissed it as Jirou's ramblings.

But he also knew that, at times, Jirou was far far more perceptive and clever than he ever let on. A flash of color comes to Kasen's cheeks, beyond what the heat of the water was causing, and he let out a thoughtful hum before returning to his own drink.-

Now I just have to steal the one from your lips sometime.

[He gives a wink at him that says he fully remembers his drunk dial. And he's not the least bit embarrassed by it.

Why should he be? That would require shame!]

Don't even start with that nonsense. -And the moment was gone, Kasen huffing.-

Is it nonsense to want to kiss you?

You want to kiss everyone when you're drunk. It's an extension of your nonsense.

I'm not drunk yet.

[Just saying.]

Maybe but that dragon sobered me up in the rudest of fashions.

[Who is upset by that? Him. Duh.]

I doubt you're THAT sober, but I agree on that being an unpleasant experience.

Such a lack of awareness... Hiding away from its own feelings, refusing to look within and realize what part of itself drove its love away.

Are all dungeons like that?

[Kasen's been here longer so he figures he must have some idea of this.]

The last dungeon master was a forsaken priestess, if that tells you anything.

I'm bringing a bottle next dungeon.

[He finishes his cup and pours himself another. Apparently the drama requires a drink.

Not that Jirou ever needs an excuse for that.]

I'd still kiss you sober.

All that really seems to state is your flirtatious ways are independent of your inebriation. -Kasen shrugged.-

[He pouts at that. Kasen you are so mean.

Just for that he leans over to steal a kiss off his lips this time. Because honestly that is how you deal with this.]

-The kiss lingers for a moment, but a moment was all it got, before Kasen forcefully pushed Jirou away with a huff.-

Stop. I've no patience for this right now. I just want to relax and not deal with your teasing.

[Jiroutachi looks miffed and goes to drink more of the alcohol.]

I wasn't teasing.

[Leaning his head back, he looks up at the sky instead. He's tired from all the mana use, still a pawn after all. Plus he wants more alcohol in his system to feel like himself again.

At least the sky is pretty.]

...

-Another long silence, another sigh. Kasen moved out deeper into the pool a bit, sinking until he was just up to his jaw and letting his eyes wander across the streaking colors of the evening sky...

He hated this. This choking feeling in his chest. He'd felt this way since that dance they'd shared in the dungeon, since that drunken phonecall. It was becoming more and more obvious that Jirou's intentions towards him were not mere foolish impulsiveness, but something he could only see as meaningful, and...-

I have to wonder... If we had not been conscripted into this war, would we be having this conversation at all?

Possibly. I doubt anyone can predict the way life flows save for beings in the heavens.

[He lets out a heavy sigh. He's always been the silly sword, the one no one takes seriously. Still, Jiroutachi has his layers but he understands the advantages to people overlooking him for being a silly drunk.

Lifting his cup up, he looks at the way the sky appears in the background of it. So pretty...]

I'm a holy sword but I'm not one that cares to think about fates and how things are meant to be. That's something that is more like my brother. Mmmm but I like that you make me smile like alcohol does. So I like to be near you, Kase-san. You're a pretty sword and your blush is cute.

One does not need a lover to have those things. Being a friend makes me no less pretty, or you no less happy, I'd think.

[He lifts his head to look at Kasen this time, studying him curiously.]

Is that what makes you happiest? Just friendship?

...

I'm not sure. These sort of things are never certain. I have no idea what sort of ending the poet of my life has in mind for me.

[Setting his cup down, he moves through the water to go over to him and rests his chin on his shoulder.]

May I scrub your back?

[It seems fair to offer an out to this conversation. If Kasen doesn't want to discuss it then he'll show him he doesn't have to. Jirou won't hold it against him.]

-Kasen sighed, leaning back into Jirou. They were already so comfortable like this... so why did anything further make him so apprehensive?-

I think I'd like that...

[He smiles and gently guides him back to the edge so Kasen can sit a little out of the water. Getting up, he grabs what he needs then comes over to start giving him a scrub. See? Even Jirou, drunkard though he might be, knows when to stop poking at something for a bit.]
