Heaven's Feel



[Maybe you've heard, or maybe you haven't, but there's a new business in town. It's plastered everywhere, posted on the side of every building and shouted from the end of every street corner in Caissa. Heaven's Feel, Heaven's Feel, come fly with the angels at Heaven's Feel! Really, who writes something so cheesy? The owner must be a real piece of work, you think, yet there's something enticing about the sound of it...

If you do decide to stop by within the first week of May, you'll find a massive celebration awaiting you: the celebration of opening day! Eager workers wave down anyone who gets close, with offers of wine tasting, sweet treats, and even speed dating. The store's interior bustles with activity as visitors fill out cute little survey cards in hopes of a hook-up. The owner in question can be found mingling in the crowd, bartending, and drawing charcoal caricatures of couples for a nominal fee.

Overall, the atmosphere is one of excitement. Hop right in! There's plenty of room for lounging on the cushy furniture, and plenty of time to find your own hottie.

[ Now, this name, he pronounces perfectly. Wonder why. ]

[ He slaps his hand, palm flat, down on the counter. ]

It is! It's Asuna.

[ He leans forward, eyes burning. ]

You're taking care of her, aren't you? You're treating her well!

[ He jolts up and leans back because holy shit. ]

Yes, sir! I'm taking care of her, sir!

[ Wait, Adra's not her dad... Right? ]

[ He clears his throat. ]

She's my student. I'm teaching her how to cook. A good girl, Asuna.

[ He smooths down his collar. Very good girl. ]

[ Is everyone protective of Asuna or are they all just weird? Yata thinks it's part of her charm. ]

Oh. [ Then it clicks. ] Oh yeah, she said something about that. Learning how to cook, I mean. Didn't know she had a teacher...

[ A happy memory comes to mind and he chuckles. ]

Hehe. She said she was gonna buy a kitchen when she had the money. Just a kitchen!

[ His ears fold slightly. He's about to say, well, she does! but -- then that cute remark, the chuckling. ]

Ah ...

[ He shakes his head. ]

That's not surprising. But I've nearly saved up for a house ... she'll be able to use mine, any time.

[rollin]

That's great news! I'll let her know.

[ But if Adra's planning on getting a house... ]

Got any idea where it'd be? I hear Gresser's pretty nice.

[ He shakes his head. ]

Oh, I've already found the place. It's a cottage on the outskirts of the city.

[ He smiles, those once folded ears now perked up straight, pleased. ]

I don't want to be too far from here, or from ... you know, everyone. I just wanted some space of my own. For cooking, gardening. That sort of thing.

[rollin]

Hehhh. A cottage all to yourself, huh?

[ Note to self: party at Adra's. ]

[ His cheeks turn slightly pink. ]

Yes, that's right. Though I hope the others will visit, as often as they like.

[ Naively thinking he'll be alone most of the time. ]

[rollin]

Are you gonna throw a housewarming party? Are there gonna burgers? Are there?

[ Yata, at least try to hide your ulterior motives. ]

I am, I am. Anyone can come.

[ He hadn't actually thought of burgers on the menu, but. ]

I'll make some, just for you. Did you like that one, or ... ?

[rollin]

Oh, oh, oh! You know what would make this burger really, really good? Bacon.

[ beat ]

And pineapples.

[ He arches an eyebrow, thinking. It's by far not the weirdest taste he's ever encountered (given Azeroth, home to many strange and insectoid delicacies), at least. ]

Whatever you like.

[ He's Asuna's boyfriend, after all--and he reads as genuine, even if his previous thug life still feels a little worrying. ]

[rollin]

Yeah!

[ He punches the air! Adra for best in-law. Yata's being a little boisterous for a rather classy place such as Heaven's Feel, but he doesn't really care what other people think about him. It's just as Adra said: Yata's genuine, as far as people go. And when he puts up a front, reading him is still too easy.

He doesn't feel the need to act awkward or proper around Adra now that he's made him this AWESOME BURGER, so he kind of prattles on even after he finishes it all. ]

Asuna said she learned how to make banana bread and steak. Did she learn that from you?

[hymnals]

[ Oh, no ... this kid is cute. Adra appreciates people who don't put up fronts or slink around behind facades; he comes from a city rife with subterfuge and deceit, with people who'd kiss your mouth while stabbing your back. Honesty, then, is refreshing. ]

Oh--yes, I've been teaching her.

[ He gestures to the remains of the burger. ]

Perhaps we'll work on that next. With bacon.

With bacon. [ HE IS SO EXCITED. ] I haven't tried anything she's made yet, but I'm damn sure she's pretty awesome at cooking. She's good at everything, haha.

[ She's perfect! But he stops himself short of saying that. It's embarrassing... ]
