Who: Gilgamesh and everyone visiting Heaven's Feel!
When: 5/1—5/8
Where: Caissa, Heaven's Feel storefront
What: The grand opening of Heaven's Feel, Caissa's premier matchmaking service, has arrived! Stop by for food, drinks, and some friendly fun with your fellow Heroes! ...or maybe even pick up a date, who knows.
Rating: General audiences, except for Gil's threads because he was pretty much making out with everyone. Tread carefully.
Heaven's Feel

[Maybe you've heard, or maybe you haven't, but there's a new business in town. It's plastered everywhere, posted on the side of every building and shouted from the end of every street corner in Caissa. Heaven's Feel, Heaven's Feel, come fly with the angels at Heaven's Feel! Really, who writes something so cheesy? The owner must be a real piece of work, you think, yet there's something enticing about the sound of it...
If you do decide to stop by within the first week of May, you'll find a massive celebration awaiting you: the celebration of opening day! Eager workers wave down anyone who gets close, with offers of wine tasting, sweet treats, and even speed dating. The store's interior bustles with activity as visitors fill out cute little survey cards in hopes of a hook-up. The owner in question can be found mingling in the crowd, bartending, and drawing charcoal caricatures of couples for a nominal fee.
Overall, the atmosphere is one of excitement. Hop right in! There's plenty of room for lounging on the cushy furniture, and plenty of time to find your own hottie.
...or perfectly platonic friend. Look, we're not judging or anything.]

Gilgamesh has been interesting to watch. From the way he interacts with his clients, he certainly knows what he's doing. People relaxes around him, and he notices Gilgamesh has no qualm using the Queen's charm on others. Tieria supposes it would help sets the pace of these matchmaking meetings? Watching the others interact has been quite entertaining too, especially now that he knows who the light weights are.
When Gilgamesh finally approaches him ( not that Tieria minds the wait ), Tieria turns his attention to his fellow hero. ]
It's rude to stare.
[ If Gilgamesh stares so openly, there's no reason for him to pretend he didn't notice it. ]
You're right, I'm not. Your business seem interesting.
[ Why would someone like him be involved with Setsuna, that's what Tieria wants to know and part of the reason why he's here. ]

In my culture, we consider it a compliment.
[Or at least Gilgamesh considered it a compliment. He sips at his glass but keeps his eyes centered on Tieria, perhaps as a slight challenge; he was not the sort of man to look away from what intrigued him. And Tieria did intrigue him, on some level, because just as he wondered about Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh wondered about him. Wondered about the sort of person Setsuna would call comrade, wondered about the sort of person that worry for him.
Time to find out, then.]
And I doubt you were here entirely on account of my business, either. So, by all means...
[Gilgamesh gestures graciously to Tieria, before mirroring his pose.]
Ask whatever you'd like. I've nothing to hide from anyone for any reason.

Gilgamesh's forwardness however, is refreshing, so to speak. It makes Tieria wonders just how closely acquainted he is to Setsuna that he's willing to make such an offer, especially in a world where they're constantly surrounded by people whose origins cannot be validated.
Leaning back into the couch ( not that he's not already sitting pretty straight against it already ), he swirls the cup of wine in his hand, holding Gilgamesh's gaze confidently. ]
Tell me about yourself then. You called Setsuna your knight. I want to know why.
[ Might as well go straight to the point. He's not here to play after all. ]

[Straight for the throat himself, this one. Tieria may be accustomed to others backing down before his sharp tongue, but Gilgamesh weathers it well. Tieria demonstrates directness, and Gilgamesh reflects it in kind. In a way, this says more about the sort of man he was than words ever could. His behavior, and his mannerisms, are what truly give him away for what he is: a proud, regal King who saw himself as beyond everyone else.]
I am the very same Gilgamesh of legend, recorded at the dawn of civilization. I ruled over the kingdom of Sumeria, from my high throne in Uruk, as dictated by the gods. Two-thirds divine, one-thirds man; he who raised the city walls by hand, he who saw the deep, he who stood above all.
[Gilgamesh downs his glass in a few sure sips and quickly motions for another, to the scrambling waiter behind him.]
I have been tasked with guiding humanity into the future, a goal I suspect you understand better than most. As does Setsuna.
no subject
But in any case, Tieria realizes that this makes Gilgamesh the second divine being he has met and confirmed. Just... how many of them are in Ensprise right now? What kind of forbidden magic was employed in order to brings even gods and deities to this world? Ensprise... this planet, what kind of divine intervention is this planet craving? ]
A divine being... I see. [ Didn't Gilgamesh suspected they're similar? Does he thinks Tieria is one too? Well... Gilgamesh is free to make his own assumption. Tieria has no plan to divulge his origins to him.
However... What Gilgamesh said later have Tieria's full attention. ]
Really? I don't claim to know your conversations with him, why presume I would understand yours?
no subject
[Granted, Gilgamesh knew nothing of Celestial Being or of Gundams; of Ribbons Almark and his plans; of the Innovades and their greater purpose in the world; in the ELS or the brilliant future that awaited humanity. But he does know Setsuna, and therefore he has some idea what he gets up to with his comrades.
Gilgamesh straightens upon mention of his divine blood, something of a contradiction for him—he'd brag of it just as easily as he'd condemn it.]
As to why I refer to him as my knight, he swore his sword to me. It was his decision, not mine. And even if that wasn't the case...
[He tips his head up, ever so slightly. A subtle display of dominance.]
I would still consider him under my protection, as I have grown quite fond.
no subject
Gilgamesh's show of dominance however, slight as it might be, draws no reaction from Tieria. It doesn't matter to Tieria if outsiders try to worm their way into his family after everything they have been through. He trusts Setsuna to make the right judgement, even if it takes time to reach the right conclusion. All Tieria has to do is support him.
So, for Gilgamesh to lay such claim, Tieria understands that this is merely someone he has to keep an eye on from now onward, divine or otherwise. ]
Setsuna is capable of protecting himself. If he chooses to protect you, then you're mine to oversee, just as Setsuna himself is.
[ Arrogant as it may sounds, Tieria's delivery is completely devoid of such impudence. All there is to it is a declaration of duty. ]
no subject
I am yours? That is the assertion you would make?
no subject
Mine to oversee. [ He stresses the word, to make sure Gilgamesh doesn't miss it again. ]
no subject
Then you shall fight me for the right. I challenge you.
no subject
[ If anything, he doesn't seem all that perturbed by Gilgamesh's declaration of challenge as he crosses his legs. ]
Sit yourself down. You know more than anyone if I am qualified. [ After all, he already rescued Gilgamesh twice, and once while he was so low on mana that he only relied on his combat skill and experience.]
no subject
[Gilgamesh won't allow himself to be led, just as he wouldn't allow himself to be monitored as if some sort of wayward pupil in need of constant supervision. Every part of him rails against the idea and so every part of him will refuse Tieria, to his dying breath.
However, perhaps he can rephrase to something more palpable.]
I see no shame in simple competition. Especially if it would be a chance to sharpen our skills.
no subject
Well, since it's Setsuna, it's likely that the Meister never explained anyway... Which mean, Tieria is going to have to. ]
You agreed to it when you allowed Setsuna. He will only offer such oath if he thinks you're in need of protection, not the other way around. If he deemed you so, then so will I. If you don't like it, take it up to him.
[ Taking a sip from his glass. ] Sit down, Gilgamesh.
no subject
You are accustomed to getting your way, aren't you? You'd order me around in my own place of business?
no subject
Correct.
[ That's your answer there. ]
no subject
Good luck getting him to talk now, Tieria, this man was a complete child when he wanted to be.]
